Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

I'm picking Devastator for 2 reasons. First off, they're fire support rather than close support, so they will not engage the enemy at lethally tight ranges and so avoid suffering the severe attrition as a result. Secondly, Devastators are anti-armor, and until we get a proper vehicle pool, our options in that regard will be limited to our brave boys carrying missile launchers and lascannons.

What is with our strange luck with the Mechanicus!? Did Severus trip over a rock that led to the discovery of an STC fragment?
While his fellow Braicamese were the same as him, squires coming from a variety of noble families, the Luctusians had been quite an unpleasant surprise. Upjumped commoners, bereft of manners, instinctually given to skulking and hiding and constantly mocking him and his compatriots as "primitive bumpkins". If feuding amongst neophytes hadn´t been strictly prohibited, he would have challenged some of the curs to a duel in order to show them their proper place.
I can't wait for Pascal to grumble about not being able to duel fellow marines and have one of the 30K marines "give him some pointers" on how "his ancestors used to fight" in the training cells. Best to nip that hooty tooty attitude in the bud before Pascal becomes Gendor 2.0.

[X] Slow Building: The Blazing Wardens commit some of their Artificer serfs and one or two Techmarines to the construction of the orbital docks (Takes 4 turns to build the orbital docks, spents Mayor Favor.)

Out of curiosity, would we be allowed to offer the secrets of Volkite weaponry to The Blazing Wardens, assuming they don't already know how to make them, as a gift of friendship? I don't even care if there's no mechanical benefit, I just like the idea of fostering relationships like that.

Until we get more tanks and gunships, having more heavy weapons seems the most sensible to me.

I'd like to do that though I'd like to make sure some of our regular tech marines can do it first before we start trying to disseminate the info. I'd rather not let our local forge worlds get wind of it and get any ideas.

Guys, we are not sharing the secrets of Volkite weaponry with anyone, that's too suspicious for us to be handing out to people. That opens up a whole can of worms for the Wardens or others to start questioning us on how we have such knowledge. And remember, on paper, we are Raven Guard successors so people might start reaching out to the Raven Guard or other nearby successors asking questions. I get that we want to be all buddy buddy with the Blazing Wardens but lets take it slow.

Yeah if we do share anything we m7st not reveal too much
We "found" a volkite weapon and have studied it thoroughly and we understand them better than most

So since we have our first Librarian recruits that are staying with the chapter (and I was really bored) I figured I'd make a brief post about the Librarian ranks for anyone who wants a quick guide.

Acolytum: Basically a scout marine with untrained psychic powers. Still learning to wield their abilities, if the Acolyta are actually deployed it's because we are in deep trouble.

Lexicanium: The lowest level of trained librarians. Lexicani are either still learning to harness more powerful abilities or are relatively weak psykers who will never advance. When not improving their grasp on their powers their jobs are studying and the maintenance of the chapters collection of lore and history. Also the most common Librarian rank to be sent to the Deathwatch.

Codiciers : The rank where Librarians are giving more significant combat assignments. These marines are considered to have enough control of their powers to be reliable battle psykers. And only the most gifted make it past this point. When not in battle they are In charge of the overseeing the lexicani and compiling combat reports.

Epistolary: These librarians are the most powerful and skilled in the chapter and are able to match all but the strongest psykers. Besides their use in battle they act as psychic communications officers and are able to send messages through the warp similar to astropaths.

Chief Librarian: Chosen from the Epistolaries . This marine is a beacon of psychic might and is in charge of the Librarium.

Karak Zel's could create more Contemptor if he study this?
I imagine he could but I wouldn't be surprised if it a long research chain that requires a lot of his actions over a bunch of turns.
^This. Also the actions can only be taken once the frame is unoccupied.
@ThunderOwl Hay it's my hive fleet I made I hope you keep the garrilah warfare style of combat
-Be random guardsman.
-See a bunch of Tyranids being chased by Space marines with Flamers.
-Rakety Sax is playing on the background.
@ThunderOwl is this an option and how does Karak Zel feel about it?

Okay, Karark Zel wouldn't mind doing so. However as others have pointed out this is going to create a lot of questions and suspicions and Chapter command knows this. For example in your first meetings with the Chapter Masters in turn 3 Action results, Severus went to the meetings without his Volkite Serpenta and in a Thunderhawk instead of a Stormbird in order not to arise suspicions.

So, looks like techmarine sons of Vulkan have their own secret questions to earn trust of Mist Shrikes to unlock the secrets of LONG RANGE FLAME WEAPONRY - THE VOLKITE!
