Hypothetically depending on what kind of Slann wakes this could even be a good thing, but good or bad it is bound to be a complicated thing, one we do not want to encounter first thing on shore. So with that in mind.... Time for an Celestial Journeywoman to somehow use her knowledge of the future to keep a Slann asleep.

BTW, there's an easy in-universe explanation for this: We use a different landing site at her suggestion. Landing too close to a Slann is by far the most believable way we'd wake one up first thing, after all.

I suspect the Event Table is not unchanging. If we act in certain ways, we can probably shape the Events somewhat (ie: if we make peaceful first contact with the amazons, and Event where we make less peaceful first contact would no longer be available...it might shift to some other misunderstanding, but the context is still quite different). So making nice with the lizardmen seems like it might remove, or at least reshape, that particular event somewhat.
But yeah, we're probably gonna meet a Slann at some point, so getting our diplomatic situation set up to make that less of a problem is a priority. If we're in good with them, then one waking up is arguably good (Rapunzel needs serious magical help, a Slann could provide that)...but we're definitely not at that point yet. We need time to prove we're less of a problem and more of an asset before we draw the attention of the big boys.
