Jian Ke hears many rumors going around the sect. Most of them are about the upcoming tournament. They are light on details so most of the disciples are envisioning ever grander competitions and prizes to match. Most of the other rumors are speculation about what the recent moon beam might mean. From simple forecasts of a prosperous farming season to rumors of some great treasure being found all the way to rumors about the Emperor sending some manner of blessing or reward to the sect.a

There aren't a lot of inner disciples who have time for a mere outer disciple, much less for such a mundane thing as a walk, but Hawk does find a wizened old man by the name of Shufen Zhen who is already contemplating the scenery. Together the two have a pleasant stroll discussing life, nature, and the meaning of things. In the end Shufen tells Hawk that he's on the right track and gives him a nod before wandering off.

Gan Jia finds a fair amount of street food in Roaring Furnace City. Perhaps not as much variety as in some larger capitol, but there are still several streets full of vendors. They enthusiastically try all sorts of things. Their status as cultivator giving them both the coin and the stomach capacity to do so. The most delicious are probably the fried dumplings. Crispy flour fried in a liquor based sauce and filled with meat or vegetables.

Lung Doji finds the site of several ancient massacres and marks them on his map. Traveling there he finds him unable to get close as the death qi is too much for his cultivation. But from a distance he can see it is a desolate moor with grey dirt and sad looking plants. Also he could swear he saw Elder Smiling Vulture watching him.
@Jaguar2234
There aren't any noted sealing masters in the sect or in any of the nearby sects.If Liu Jin wants to find a sealing master he's going to have to search for one in a larger city where all manner of loose cultivators gather. The closest is the one run by the Fern Ferret sect a full 15 thousand li to the east. A perilous journey for a tempered peasant.

Liang Xinyue spends more time with the charcoal makers. They have little more to teach him now so he mostly examines their products. He notes how the ash differs when different woods are used, and how hot the fires need to be to burn the logs fully.Occasionally he finds other things that someone left in the wood pile on accident. Bits of plant or stone mostly. Though occasionally he finds parts of a bone that didn't fully burn.

The orphanage is fortunately still there. The long winter months did not cause it any more than the usual harm, and thanks to Li's previous efforts all of the children made it through alive. He spends his time shoring up the walls and fixing the damage that the blizzards caused.

The llama mafia happily puts Loutuo to work translating for the llamas. There isn't that much to do thankfully. They are not bad at their jobs and the llamas are already well cared for. But there are occasional nagging issues and llamas with desires that don't line up with the norm that Loutuo is able to help the llama mafia resolve.

The local monks are fairly good at keeping the local ghosts under control, but they do tell Bái Yǔ about an old mansion that burned down on the outskirts of the city several decades ago. There is a strong spirit there. Too strong for merely mortal monks to deal with. Even with their virtue.
@Poofs
Finding a treasure map is easy. Finding one that is both accurate and likely to not have actually been followed yet is much harder. In the end June Peng has reduced a stack of scrolls to just a few sheets. They point to locations both out in the Forest and inside the sect. They seem legitimate, but the only way to tell is to follow them.

Cheng Nan gets a lot of strange looks for not knowing about Elder Cheng. He's well known around the sect for his lectures and willingness to help disciples with their issues. Cheng Nan gatherers quite a few rumors about the elder which all seem to verify this.
@Guest99
Jiang Chen finds quite a few disciples walking the path of the sword who are willing to debate various merits with him. The majority seem to favor one handed techniques as it leaves one hand free to use talismans or cast other techniques. But there are plenty who prefer the power and stability of a two handed sword. Jian Cheng gets quite a lot of useful information from the debates.

The archives don't have a lot of information on the actual history of the local cuisine. Mostly the only thing that covers it are travelogs and most of them are about more distant lands. However Pan Tingfend does find a few old recipe books that have useful information. It seems that the staple foods here are rice and wheat. Usually cooked whole or made into flour for dumplings. Other ingredients are whatever can be foraged from the forest. Though there is also a strong tradition of brewing it into liquor instead.

Cai Delan's friends don't seem to be particularly interested in sparring. Though he is able to find plenty of other disciples willing to get some practice in. They end up having a small unofficial tournament, which Cai Delan manages to win.

Tan Bo finds several secret nooks in which to build supply caches. Unfortunately most of the best places seem to have already been found as they are full of barrels of alcohol for some reason.

Ding Dong gets wind of the old blacksmithing elder. Apparently he died quite some time ago. Well before the recent troubles. His pagoda is supposedly sealed away somewhere on the mountain and rumor has it that it contains an entire black smithing inheritance.
@Shadowolf235
Daiki Inoue doesn't find anything but legends about combining innate techniques. Unfortunately most people only get one and it isn't uncommon to get no innate techniques at all. So if anyone has gotten all four in the past and then went so far as to combine them. Well then they would be truly blessed by the heavens.

Even for Hanyi there is far too much remaining alcohol to drink. In fact he keeps finding more of it the more he searches. He is starting to consider that perhaps filling thousands of barrels with alcohol while also consuming said alcohol did not lead to the best organization.

After some searching for what she would be able to call the largest crowd Jin Mei finds that the one that assembles on Market Day down in Roaring Furnace city is probably the largest. It regularly has more than ten thousand mortals in it. They are packed into the streets buying produce and foods for the week. But despite the crush she has no trouble walking through it as the mortals are quick to get out of the path of a cultivator.

The Changjian sisters work on their new found skills as they learn how to use lunar qi to best effect. They find it is well suited for manipulating objects, but not people. Or anything living really. They are able to incorporate this into their strikes easily enough however as swords are not alive after all and can easily be thrown, retrieved, and reinforced with lunar Qi.
@SootCube
The merchants are very pleased with the road and they are quick to praise the Red Dew Sect for building it. They have tales of the Five Leaf Garden and the lands beyond and are happy to share them with an inquiring disciple. Gu Jin learns that most travel only a few provinces away. It's a rare merchant indeed who is will and able to travel farther than that.

Wu Ji Nin's family is doing well. Better than well. With the funds they received last time they have been able to expand their farms and hire help. The new funds will go even farther. Unfortunately Wu Ji Nin does not attract Elder Sunflower's attention this time. It seems repeating old tasks is dutiful, but not as great a show of generosity as exceeding them.

The solar element is fairly rare just like the lunar element. Wuyin doesn't find anything about where it might be found other than a rumor that some monks use it. Though the author of that treatise isn't sure if it's actually solar or something similar since monks typically don't use qi at all.

Liao Chuanli spends some time at the casino in Roaring Furnace City. With the scent of growing things flowing through on breezes and plenty of food and drink flowing it is an enjoyable way to pass the time. Though of course the real lure are the games. Every variety of dice and card game is here to spend time and coin on. And there are plenty of gamblers ready to try their luck. With how active everything is it's hard to remember that the casino was only opened a few months ago.
Liao Chuanli tries his luck as well of course. The heavens smile upon him and he only loses a little bit of silver.
I think I got everyone, but let me know if I missed you.
