New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

[X] Permit Casia to ascend to Nascent Soul. Will happen at turn start if so, and a fourth Nascent Action will be unlocked.

@occipitallobe how much will having a fourth Nascent Soul cultivator strain our resources? I believe you said it costs a substantial amount of stones to maintain even one.
Our capacity given our resources is 3 Early Nascent Souls and 2 Mid Nascent Souls. We're well within capacity.

Always good to remember that while Nascent Souls are expensive, we are one of the Great Powers, and we are Desert Hegemon (by dint of there being no one else with Nascent Souls in the Desert, ofc). We can afford it.

Let's pull another out of our ass.

In the Old Cannibal Negaverse
Players: Oh come the fuck on! He has 2 now?!?!
*A couple turns go by*
Players: He has 4 wtf!

Ninth Prince
Fate: 20 CY from boost
Impact: 34 (+16)
Cultivation: Core Formation Liquid Core (Mid)
Cultivation Year-Equivalent: 510 (+56)
Health: Healthy --> Crippled

In the midst of combat, the Old Prince simply aligns the Eighth Pillar and the Ninth Pillar in quick succession, and prepares to ascend. Within the caves the travails of tribulation seem to be muted for him, and he ascends. The Young Prince awakens in Core Formation.
flees.
For understandable reasons it got overshadowed but congratulations ninth Prince for being the first to reach ninth pillar/emperor and ascending to core.

[X] Permit Casia to ascend to Nascent Soul. Will happen at turn start if so, and a fourth Nascent Action will be unlocked.

Welcome back Occi! Good luck and be well!

Congrats Kaboom! The Prince is now core!

Huh well damn a 3rd Nascent Soul free of cost for us! Means we can use our treasure to get a fourth and have some serious firepower to act as deterrents for these heaven favored that will be gunning for us sooner or later.
A third Nascent, Xie Xinya has been obtained.
Also go her! Though giving up her core surrounding family must have been difficult the fact she ultimately did it for her family is rather noble in my eyes.
Her eyes widened. No. No. There was... no escape from this.
Yeah how do the Nascent's deal with the pain all the time? Or do they just accept said pain and go about there lives?

And finally is it possible for Manuel to ascend to Late stage Nascent(or even reaching spirit severing?) or his is talent so low that he's more or less peaked where he's currently at?

Edit: And you all know Old Cannibal is going to think this was a masterstroke chess move by Manuel to counter him while in reality it was more or less pure luck on our part lol.

Meanwhile the Yuan Negaverse are going full thank god that they accepted the vassal deal.

Yuan: Hey golden devil mind sharing some of that luck with your ever loyal vassal?

Manuel ain't reaching Late until like near the end of his lifespan aka epilogue barring I don't know us reaching 15 million words or something.

Our position has become so much more tenable with this surprise, holy shit.

Remember what we were told about Nascent Xinya and her ability to let us absolutely lol covert ops? And Casia's lol tier ability to maintain internal stability?

Frankly, if it wasn't for the Favored Doomclock, I would legitimately think we hit wincon. We're not inassailable, but actually taking us down requires enough attention and would be so ruinously expensive that it would be the death knell of any coalition that tried.

Either way, we've got enough manpower now that we can legitimately check the Abyssal Demon Invasion on our own strength alone. That's Fantastic

So yeah he's basically peaked then barring him getting some insane rolls or as said people hitting 15 million words.

And another question since I joined this quest what's our win goal? Conquering the region, stopping the Trial from happening every century, Or gaining a new Spirit Severing Cultivator?

"Not dying or being rendered politically irrelevant"

That's it.

Overthrowing the heavens. That has always been the goal.

It bears repeating, but we have been on the knife's edge this entire time, with the vague hope that once sufficient Good Seeds broke through into Nascent Soul, we'd become regionally unassailable. And that's still the case.

Its only now that that point is in sight, rather than us endlessly scheming and scrambling to buy enough time and hoard enough advantages for that hypothetical endpoint to come into being.

Once we've secured the Mountains for ourselves, namely taking the Footsteps Path, displacing the Devil Bees, doing something with the Qiguai, and placating the Blood Oaks...We'll just need to find a way to run out the clock until our best Unorthodoz Good Seeds break through to Nascent Soul.

Emperor Princey and Dao Seeker Rina are the first crop of payoff of that, and their debut in the Pass this coming turn are going to be a very rude awakening to the rest of the Region. Especially if we manage to sweep the Yuan Invasion this turn as well. This turn is gonna shock a lot of polities in setting.

Ah ok, I can work with us fighting to maintain our survival as an independent entity. And as noted with us having conquered the desert and all the resources in said region along with pushing out/destroying our most immediate rivals has given us a "safe" space from our enemy's/rivals in the wider region and a place to cultivate a large amount of new talent which is already happening these past few turns.

Once we conquer the mountains surrounding our desert it'll become a lot more difficult to assail our holdings and more importantly keep our training grounds and resource producing regions out of reach for the most part. Along with our new nascent soul cultivators it'll take an alliance of multiple different "righteous" sects or clans to attack us and reach our desert holdings. And well from what I've seen righteous groups are prone to infighting and scheming among themselves if we can somehow leverage that and make them scrabble among themselves then that'd be great for the clan as a whole.

Of course now this hinges on the fact we are successful in taking the mountains to form a "wall" around our key holdings.

A thought : should we give the Stone Spear to one of our Early Nascents ? Manuel is decently strong already, and the Spear would let an Early Nascent "punch up" and survive a lot better if they get involved in a Nascent fight.
With Old Cannibal himself being a Late Nascent, and Manuel actually not being that strong as a Mid-Nascent especially for someone who knows a lot of his tricks, that sounds risky.

Agreed. Especially since while everyone else is frantically scrounging up treasures to make the jump to Nascent easier, she was all like "yeah, imma just do it." Instead of making it be a giant national Manhattan Project to let her go super-saiyan or whatever, she just... did it herself!

The latter.

I think it might be a good idea to abstain from answering that question for a while. First, because Manuel needs a chance to sort through any clues he may have gotten from, uh, Heraclius I think his name is, or rather Heraclius' Will. Second, because we'd need resources, a LOT of them, to support the rise to Late Nascent, and we don't have them anyway.

The general answer to Spirit Severing is that it's effectively impossible to sustain Spirit Severing cultivation in the Third Sea because the turtle is dead. Five or ten thousand years ago it was possible, but not now, not really. There may be some way to get around that via shenanigans, but it's not generally known. And if any current faction had a way to do it, they'd be nigh-invincible, so I'm not optimistic.

This is luck I can't believe. In universe either the Heavens are really distracted or we're finally seeing what being somewhat karmically neutral looks like after clearing out one of the Curses

I can practically hear Old Cannibal complaining about Manuel already.

Well it was noted that the heaven seemed distracted

Nah, bro. Manuel is actually super weak in a straight-up fight. We voted for that to be his weakness. That Spear's boost to his combat capabilities and ability to guarantee harming Nascents, other than our surprise 3rd Nascent, is the direct reason why we could risk the Jiang conquest.
