    • The party of nine from where they had entered in the night comes out to a party of seven, all of them looking as two more of their numbers have vanished. And so like every night prior, the two missing are revealed.



    The first is revealed as Reisen Inaba, Moon Rabbit on Earth (@Shalmoa), who 'died' from a Knock on the Head.



    The second is revealed as Alice Margatroid, Seven-Colored Puppet Master (@dinomannitro6), who 'died' from being Knocked Out In A Closet.

    And a message is left upon the table to read.

    • btw, does anyone have any tips for Touhou? I remember trying EoSD since that's the first Windows Touhou game but continually being unable to get past like... the third stage without dying.

    Apart from one live session literally over half a decade ago, no, not at all, I'm going entirely off of the things I've read over the last couple of days (from multiple sites, mind you) and coasting off half-remembered energy from my... 2014 Town of Salem days, granted I played at a high level back then but that was a long time ago

    Regardless I feel even if I played Mafia anytime recently and or were more experienced I would still be kinda shakey here since I don't really know the community and I only went back through one game

    Yeah honestly I was giving Bean the benefit of the doubt by arguing from the assumption that she's * (thank you Wialdi) town for the sake of courtesy but I wrote down in my notes the minute she said those words that there was something really weird about flexing that information this early on, now I don't know how it works here but from where I'm from doing something like that paints a huge target on your back... whether it means that she's town or wolf, I don't know, it really depends on what kind of plays Bean's known for throwing down, but given what others have pointed out it might be better to wait for more information or push-back before saying anything definitive on that

    Anyways someone challenged me and asked for Touhou advice so hold on there are more important things to discuss

    Use the focus key. It slows down your character (alongside focusing your shots) which allows you to micrododge better.

    Also maybe consider remapping your control scheme, if you aren't comfortable on the default.

    Ladies and Gentlemen of our humble party tonight I want start off by saying that I called it. Now admittingly I did get my prediction somewhat wrong, it wasn't a 3000 word long post, it was only a... very short post that asked me to beat a highscore in Highly Responsive to Prayers or get got, but it was a top poster callout post anyways and it even said that was the reason why I was getting called out so I'm happy to say that I stand vindicated

    Now on to my points:

    • One: the man asked me to beat a highscore on a PC98 game. Erm, excuse me, I only care about PC98 for Kotohime, Shinki, Elly, that one ghost chick, and maybe Mima. Also don't ask me to play any canon games because I don't have any money and I need to buy a new desk soon, literally the only reason why I spent this much time writing this post is because a screw flew off my keyboard tray and I needed to get a screwdriver to fix it

      • Now given that, I am open to playing through the excellent fan-game Hollow Song of Birds and currently am doing that right now. Trying for a no-bomb Lunatic run right now

    • Two: The only possible scumread I can give you right now with any kind of veracity and / or reasoning is Clown Bean, and we already went over why that's a hot mess with no real answer. Like, maybe the man is hitting us with a "Please don't suspect me. I'm definitely a double voter. But don't discuss it either because then I'd have to defend myself while I'm feeling out of it" but considering that he is feeling out of it and he hasn't come back yet I can't really say anything... meanwhile everyone else is still in the very low content post stage of the game and any actual content seems to be focused around what Clown Bean said, and there hasn't been any serious pushes or wagon attempts anywhere either so your completely correct in saying that there's no foundation for anything right now

    • Three: I was going to put a joke here but then I thought of better places to put it so nevermind, you get nothing

    I'm satisfied with that answer. And yeah, there isn't really enough to work up to a 3000 word callout post. At least, not without making the wording shine with blinding purple such as can be harvested from rare sea snails and shimmer with the possibility of implications untold etc. etc. .

    Thanks for the response, and good luck on your lunatic run. Frankly, I'm lucky to beat stage two on that difficulty.

    Now to poke a low poster or two. @Byzantine, I'm seeing only one post from you today, and it's a meme vote. Please, pick someone other than Clown Bean and tell me what you think about them.

    It might feel like cheating but check out videos from people who play it online, the whole game's about memorizing patterns with some bits of quick thinking in-between, you should be able to get it pinned down after some time with some help

    If you're not willing to do that though the focus key helps, as has been said, as well as just keeping an eye out for patterns and how to beat them... lowering difficulty is a scam because each difficulty level has different patterns, even if slightly different, anyone who's made a danmakafu game can tell you that

Nothing is safe from my editing, the Mods are terrified of looking into the edit history of any my RP or CW posts because they know all they'd find is a wall of text ten-thousand micro-revisions long over whether or not I should use this synonym or that synonym or if that darling should be kept or killed or if this segment advances the plot and / or my points or slows it down a lot...

    Frankly this seems...let's say optimistic in light of, e.g., D1 of last game. I'm inclined to agree with Nani that it's justifiable to be cautious, especially as it's not like there aren't other ways out of the meme phase.

    I'm not saying we shouldn't be cautious -- earlier in that discussion I mentioned that the biggest difference is making sure care is taken to prevent it from happening. In other games the idea just kind of passes by entirely, so regardless of where anyone stands the fact that we're talking about this specifically is good.

    I've got nothing on anyone because the only discussion other than memes - which I am shit at getting any value out of at this stage, if ever, - is about the discussion about the multivoter thing. Which I don't think is at all informative of anything in any direction for anyone from what I saw.
     
    Would generally agree on being cautious on Bean. It might have come out early D1 and I could definitely see it just being a legit town!Bean play but we did have like 3 days to ponder on our role cards before SoD1.
     
    I feel like @Clown Bean is pretty town-sided, given that the double-vote makes sense only for townie. The disclosure also won me over somewhat, for now.

    (I also hope you're alright; you mentioned not feeling well.)
