[X] Plan: Lucky Diplomacy

Yeah, it's extremely dumb. It was the three professor's idea, which explains much - Yumi was as horrified as everyone else. For those confused - the "suit" is basically just a harness of nerve connectors that a bunch of spikes stab to hook Sayaka's nervous system up to Artemis. And she can't wear anything else with it.

At least we got that one hilarious reaction image of Kouji out of it.
For some reason I'm imagining that when we do this tech the other Super Robot professors just simultaneously facepalm in just 'WTF am I seeing here energy"

Oh it's much, much worse.

It's basically a porno version of the EVA suits, complete with machine tentacles latching onto the "sensitive" bits.

And apparently, just like G Gundam and EVA (both of which have much more... sensible... control schemes), it is excruciatingly painful.

And i'mma weigh in in a bit, now that I am actually awake and not drooling across my phone at 2 in the morning.

OK, SO.

Rayearth and FMP are required. We cannot and should not ignore these. They are very serious, and can go extremely wrong.

Geass isn't just flashing warning lights, it's blasting sirens. Something is going down, and it is very concerning.

Giganos/A-LAWS is also a severe concern. The Memento Mori, despite it's significant flaws, is a fairly powerful superweapon. However, those same flaws institute a significant resource drain on them, much like the Gunbuster does to us. Further, that they are only working on it means this is a chance to take out a future threat rather than an immediate one.

The Daimos and Voltes events are both quite juicy, although I am tempted to lean towards Daimos if we have to pick one, since that one is...pretty messy.

Gunbuster, much as I love them and their ability to blow the fuck out of everything...I'm sorry, but shit is going down.

As for research, I need to ask something.

Will we be completely unable to use Steel Jeeg's pilots if we don't get the bells? Could we, in theory, slap them into Grungust MP units temporarily?

I feel like the Lifter units would be much appreciated, but the Grungust determine if i would rather pick up the Jeeg units or if we subject half the Photon Labs to Sayaka beating them to near-death.

Sure, Kenji Kusanagi and Hiroshi Shiba can use Grungusts before the Jeeg Finale, although they'll be riding shotgun in Big Shooter when it does roll around, as per the anime.

Also, I think I made the description of the Daimos event a little misleading...

The wedding's not happening (yet) but you'll be committed to interfering in it next turn once you take this event.

So you'll still be glad that you took it if you do decide to take it.

Like I said, getting rid of Miwa right now also gets us a pretty net positive.

Like this guys is pretty much racist for space and throws his lot with blue cosmos when Daimos and SEED got to interact in alpha 3.

Without counting his various war crimes.

This guys pretty much thinks civilians are pretty expendable when it comes to dealing with any threat whatsoever.

If something he would sacrifice an entire platoon under his command just to see Balmarians casualities.

Without counting that he still should have power due to being part of the UN like in canon.

So nipping that bud right now would be wonderful before he does anything stupid.

As for research.

Like I said I rather have those 2 ride on a grungust since they would get at least decent rolls for battle, while the counterfeit bells means that they will not only be rolling with a disadventage but probably also have DC checks to make sure the counterfeit bell doesn't screw them up.

Without counting that the disadventage roll is for normal enemies, for Janma Kingdom forces it specifically says that they penalty will be greater.

It sounds like we should give this weird tech to the Getter teams considering their propensity for pain tolerance:V

Oh trust me, we DON'T need that mental image...

Well, that's one way to turn the Getter Team batshit at us.

I just hope somebody interferes before Sayaka steals Mazinkaiser to Fire Blaster her dad. Effectively, it's a variation of the EVA cockpit, so the plugsuit could be used as a base instead of a fucking bondage harness.

And the whole "latches into the suit" thing would work a lot better if it latched onto places *other* than the censor bars.

...Or, y'know, Samsara could intervene with the Mobile Trace System. Even if Sayaka is going to be putting in extra effort, the effects are approximately the same. Even down to the really skimpy suit, although like the plugsuit, a full-body themed unitard is a lot more reasonable than...that.

Alas, Samsara has little knowledge of Mazinger ZERO and the clusterfuck around that, so this would be as new to her as it is to the rest of them.

...Maybe she could offer Sayaka an alternative as she turns her father into a vaguely human-shaped bruise?

...Or, again, get a plugsuit and adjust the...uh, attachments...to aim for the shoulders, elbows, or knees instead.

[X] Plan: Lucky Diplomacy

Yeah...sorry, Noriko.

magine the salt from Post Disaster dimension's people who use the Alaya-Vijnana System implants and those who scorn the said system that all it takes is wearing a Mobile Fighter plugsuit to move the mobile suit easy as pie

...Plugsuits are from Evangelion. The Mobile Trace System, ironically, is actually harder than the Alaya-Vijnana system.

Unlike Mobile Suits, Mobile Fighters that use the Mobile Trace system have to be very fit and fairly strong in their own right, instead of merely trained or surgically implanted.

The only person we see successfully pilot a Mobile Fighter who wasn't a superhuman martial artist was Rain, who was suddenly revealed to be pretty fucking tough in her own right. And she *struggled* with the system at first.

When a kid tried to Gundamjack the God Gundam, he nearly got crushed to death.

Ironically, the Mobile Trace system is actually and legitimately a better version of the Alaya-Vijnana, because it uses a fighting suit in place of surgery... but it's also much less practical as a military suit, as each would require significantly more training to use at all, and Mobile Fighters are very strenuous to pilot by default.

My bad for mixing it up Plugsuit from Evangelion and Mobile Trace System.

I see your point and it does come in handy to prevent Gundamjacking by snot nosed brats unfamiliar with the Mobile Trace System.

Gjallarhorn would kill to want that Mobile Trace System. But of course with Rustal Elion dead, the organization probably got absorbed by the Council as the other Seven Stars leaders stepped down after Rustal became supreme leader and disbanded the Seven Stars system.

Goodbye, Professor Yumi. Your contributions will be missed.

Except for your last one. That's the one that got ya stomped on by Aphoridte A.

EX Scenario: Medical History
Time: Before the present
Location: Council of the Veil Medical Facility

Project <Redacted> Medical Files

Subjects: Biological External Control Components for new Super Robot

Subject 1

Name: Nina Wärter
Age: 18
Affliction: Malabsorption of fat
Proposed Treatment: Gene therapy to address known genetic causes. If that has no effect, replace muscles with cybernetics, followed by full medical nanomachine regimen to address other bodily causes
Other notes: Subject has expressed extreme dislike of current bodily appearance, especially of own face.

Subject 2

Name: Yukari Tsukiumi
Age: 18
Affliction: Metastasized brain tumor in normally inoperable location, multiple organs damaged due to metastasized cancer
Proposed Treatment: Invasive brain surgery to remove the brain tumor; medical nanomachines will not work quickly enough to save life of the subject in time. Subsequent brain damage can be fixed with cybernetics, although the subject's personality will be irrevocably altered. Replacement of the heart, liver, and pancreas with cybernetic equivalents due to damage by metastasized cancer cells-all other damage can be reversed with medical nanomachines.
Other notes: When presented with a choice between death or the above procedure, subject showed no hesitation in agreeing to the procedure, even with the consequences clearly outlined to them. It was determined that the brain tumor had not affected their ability to make rational decisions.

Subject 3
Name: Lucia Aion
Age: 18
Affliction: Exposure to hazardous nerve agent has resulted in severe damage to numerous parts of the body. Subject's left eye rendered blind due to exposure to aforementioned nerve agent. Subject's right eye blind due to premature cataract, unrelated to exposure to nerve agent. Heart, lungs, liver, stomach, small and large intestines, kidneys, and bladder all severely damaged due to exposure to nerve agent. Scans of the subject's endocrine systems have revealed that subject is infertile. Severe buildup of necrotic tissue in the right arm and left leg. Subject found in an infantile state; subject can barely eat and drink, seems incapable of verbal or nonverbal communication, and does not seem to display any kind of personality.
Proposed Treatment: Cybernetic replacements of all damaged organs, eyes, right arm, and left leg. Subject's brain to be treated with cybernetics so that they may have appropriate mental faculties for their age. Subject's infertility also to be addressed, and subject's stomach to made elastic due to increased caloric needs aforementioned cybernetics will place on the new body.

There are scant few things she remembers before going under the knife.

One is that she could not bear to look herself in the mirror.

The other was that when given some input on what her new body would look like, she cranked bust size as far as it would go.

She considers the loss of all the unpleasantness of her old body a mixed blessing-what good memories, if any, did she lose?

She remembers, very vaguely, a killer pressure in her skull, one that threatened to drive her insane if the tumor behind it didn't kill her first.

She remembers shitting and pissing blood to her horror, and collapsing in the middle of doing nothing.

She remembers stabbing at the checkbox giving consent as fast as her addled brain would allow her.

She remembers little else before going under the knife.

She remembers nothing before going under the knife save the sensation of filthy water dripping into her mouth, drop by drop.

The first thing she clearly remembers is phantom pain in her arm and leg. The contradictory sensations threaten to destroy her mind even more than the nerve gas did.

The next thing she remembers is seeing things clearly again, to be greeted with the sight of a padded cell. At least the phantom pains were gone...

She remembers an overhead conversation.

"Do we really need to fix her infertility? Not like we expect them to have kids..."

"You forget the last time we gave them an infertile test subject!? They damn near bit our heads off about 'hormonal deficiencies' and things like that!"

"Okay, okay, yeesh...don't have to remind me..."

The girls remember little of their time before the Council made them what they are.

Perhaps that is for the best.

A/N: The sidestory, as promised. Update to come later today, my day's a bit busy IRL.
