[X] Council Forces

Yeah fuck these guys, Kusakabe won't shut up if we use the warheads on him and we have a battle with him rather sooner than later.

After all we still need to get the calculation unit to close the nadesico plot.

Also nice to see lit no one got damaged and jesus, even with damage the gunbuster has quite high DC on armor.

[X] Council Forces

The Jovians aren't strong enough to warrant the usage of Reaction Warheads on them (and we have ways to turn them into allies once problematic leadership elements are removed). Best to nuke the Council and weaken them some more (this should also serve its purpose of spooking Kusakabe).

We were lucky Noriko was fired-up and had a high Will score, since that significantly buffed the Gunbuster's capabilites even though it was damaged.

[X] Council Forces
-Like it or not, the Jovian Federation is an entity native to your dimension. Depleting the Council forces faster will leave them with more available manpower and war materiel to use against the Council when the Federation and N.U.N.S. make peace with them...whenever that happens.

Now that we know for certain that we have some manner of access to units deployed by the Crossbone Vanguard in Gundam F91 (and, by extension, access to the Shot Lancer technology)... we may want to see if we can maybe adapt said technology to other lance-wielding mobile suits... (after all, it's not like only the Vanguard employs Lances as weapons... and our GN-XIII units could use some more access to physical weaponry, aside from the GN Lance and the NGN Bazooka).

Aren't GN Beam weaponry dangerous enough already?

Unfortunately, we will have to deal with enemies that are resilient to Beam type weaponry at some point, and in those cases, the GN-XIII will struggle a bit, given how beam focused its armament is, hence why I'd wish, if possible, to shore its capabilities when it comes to dealing physical damage.

Fair enough and on the other hand, at least GN-XIIIs do have the advantage of using Trans-Am when the situation calls for it.

GN-XIII units don't have access to Trans-Am. Mook units with Trans-Am are only going to become a thing once we get access to GN-XIV and Brave units (the earliest non-Gundam units from Gundam 00 that can use Trans-Am are Masurao and Susanowo, which might not be present in the quest, since Graham doesn't have his samurai obsession)

[X] Council Forces

Reaction bombing the Jovians would likely cement the war hawks grip on power. Plus the council needs a good nuking more.

February UE 0084
Orbit of Jupiter

As the flotilla of N.U.N.S., Crossbone Vanguard, and Solar Vanguard forces flees the battle zone, the Jovian Federation and Council forces turn their attention back toward killing each other. The Jovians to defend their airspace, and the Council for their own enigmatic purposes, perhaps snagging something capable of Boson Jumping as a bonus.

It turns out, however, that both factions wrote off the fleeing group too soon, as the Council forces detect a quartet of Variable Fighters approaching the battlefield.

"What are they up to...?" A Council commander ponders.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM5quxrQ_4I

He realizes too late that the Variable Fighters are traveling more slowly than a VF-19 is normally capable of, and his fears are confirmed when his mobile weapon's sensors detect 16 large missiles being launched from them.

"Alert, alert! Variable Fighters launching-"

The Council commander's warning is cut off as the reaction warheads speed up and detonate within the middle of the Council ranks, atomizing not only the commander and his mobile weapon, but a large amount of the Council forces.

With over 70% of the remaining Council forces now a complete loss, the remaining Council machines are forced to retreat through Dimensional Distortions, none of their objectives having been accomplished.

Aboard the Nadesico

You open the door to the medical bay to see Minato passionately kissing Tsukumo while trying to avoid putting pressure on his injured shoulder. You immediately close the door and turn to see a blushing Yukina approaching.

"Are they still...doing things?" Yukina asks.

"Yes. On the plus side, I think you're going to get a big sister in-law soon." You remark.

"That's good...I guess. Minato's not so bad..." Yukina shakes her head to clear her thoughts. "Anyway, the pilot of Gunbuster came aboard and wants to talk to you."

Yukina leads you to a room, where you see a young woman wearing...at first you think it's a fetishistic schoolgirl gym outfit (you get the feeling Nina and Yukari would kill to get a replica of it) but on closer examination you realize it's her pilot suit. She has brown eyes, short red hair, and a blue headband tied around her head.

The young woman leaps up and runs over to hug you.

"Mira! It's so good to finally meet you in person! Wow, you really grew up, huh?" The young woman says.

"I'm sorry, you are...?" You ask.

"Oh, sorry! I'm Noriko Takaya. I'm from the dimension that your parents conceived you in! Samsara briefed me about things after she got us out of the black hole I created to destroy the STMC." Noriko says.

Noriko has given you some answers, but also more questions.

"Sorry...STMC? Black hole? And who's this 'us' you're talking about?" You ask.

Noriko slaps herself lightly while sticking out her tongue.

"Sorry, I keep forgetting this is a different dimension, so there are things you have no idea about. Long story short, the STMC were these space monsters that showed up to try and kill humanity because we were expanding into space. We stole a gas giant from another group of aliens who were trying to recreate a solar system in a way that would have destroyed our solar system, and used that to create a black hole bomb to kill all the STMC. 'Us' refers to both my copilot, Kazumi onee-sama, who is unfortunately unconscious at the moment. Oh, also, Samsara apparently rescued the original Dancouga Team of this dimension, from what they told me, Emperor Muge pulled a dick move and tried to trap them in a collapsing pocket dimension to spite them as he was dying. Got all that?" Noriko explains.

You raise a finger and put it back down.

"I think so." You say.

"Perfect! You can help me formally debrief your superiors later." Noriko grabs you by the hand.

"Where are we going?" You ask.

"The cafeteria! Akito Tenkawa hasn't lost his sense of taste yet, so he should be able to make killer food, right?" Noriko says.

You glance at Yukina and she shrugs helplessly as Noriko drags you off.

Xinjiang Province, China

You are Lelouch, and you pinch the bridge of your nose as you watch Lloyd Asplund and Rakshata Chawla bicker about Knightmare Frames. More specifically, the upgraded Guren and Lancelot. Lloyd's assistant, Cecil Croomy, gives you a knowing look of sympathy.

"You ruined the elegance of the upgrades I made for the Guren! RUINED IT!" Lloyd yells.

"Your 'upgrades' would have resulted in the Guren's Energy Wings tearing themselves apart during high-g turns, not to mention the toll it would have taken on the pilot! Be grateful I did not scrap your design completely." Rakshata retorts before taking a puff from her pipe.

"You didn't raise nearly as many objections about the Lancelot Albion!" Lloyd points out.

"The Lancelot is your pet project. The Guren is my child, and so I reserve the right to have final say on what does and does not go into it." Rakshata huffs.

You decide to intervene, and make sure that you're wearing your mirrored contact lenses.

"Enough!" You say, raising your hands and standing between the two of them. "Are both units ready?"

"The Lancelot Albion is fully prepared and ready to sortie at your command, my lord." Lloyd says.

"The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements is complete and combat worthy." Rakshata reports before glancing at Lloyd. "And be thankful I kept your pretentious acronym."

Lloyd scoffs, but says nothing.

"Good enough. Report to your posts and be ready for combat." You say.

Lloyd and Rakshata glare at each other before turning back to their workstations and start packing up.

"How do you deal with him?" You ask Cecile.

"You get used to it. And for some odd reason, he becomes more reasonable when I offer him my cooking." She says.

I can see why. You think to yourself.

You probably have enough time for either C.C. or Shirley to give you a shoulder massage before the operation starts...

Lelouch already has a plan to breach the interior of the facility, the only big question is how to use the former Titans.

[ ] Frontline deployment
-Have them atone for their atrocities during the Gryps Conflict by throwing them into the thick of things

[ ] Reserve for the interior
-Lelouch anticipates that test subjects of the Geass Order will be encountered in large numbers once the combined force is able to breach the interior. Morale among the Black Knights would likely plummet if they put them out of their misery themselves. The former Titans, on the other hand...hell, what the Geass Order has done is probably worse than even the most unethical of the Titans' Cyber Newtype Labs.

A/N: An introduction to a 'true' old friend from Mira's home dimension, and the start of the attack on Geass Order HQ. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

[X] Reserve for the interior

I say that just throwing the titans remmants right off the bat may be a waste of units, especially war veterans for as much damage they caused during the gryph wars.

And morale, rather have that in high so we don't get will penalties.

While I don't think any former Titans personnel who are still being allowed to pilot mobilesuits for the parts of the EFF working with us were involved with the experiments the Titans were involved in and they are mobilesuit pilots they are also like to have seen some shit and are going to be more experienced soldiers overall then the Blackknights and some of our other units. It makes sense to have them be the ones to deal with the most stomach churning stuff we will be finding as they are going to be better at keeping their cool and following orders to deal with what ever we find in the base.

Yeaaah, this is gonna get ugly. They'll get a taste of the horror of their former superior's actions.

And...Wait what, Dancouga's from this dimension?

Huh. That's gonna be a trip for the Nova team.

And yesssss, we absolutely fucked the Council! Fail! Fail and burn!

One thing I've been dying to write is the following:

Aoi: *fangirls over her senpai after realizing how awesome they are*
Sara: I swear, you're like the daughter Shinobu and I haven't had yet.

And yes, that is a reference to the fact that in early drafts of Dancouga Nova, Aoi was meant to be either Shinobu and Sara's direct daughter or a descendent of them (don't remember which)

Also, nobody tell Yukina that she's probably going to be an aunt in 9 months.

Possibly to the day.

These are hardened soldiers, many of whom are more comfortable then they should killing unarmed civvies. Might as well use em.

[X] Reserve for the interior

Frankly, it's also terrible decision.

[X] Reserve for the interior

Yeah, Lelouch needed ex-Titans pilots because he has pretty much written off any Geass user found within the facility and believes that it is better to just kill them.

Some other general musings about the mission:
  • Curiously, for someone who was (allegedly) eager for vengeance against VV, Marianne is absent from the mission (then again, we are wary of her, so it's not a stretch to say we didn't allow her to be present; that said, this does not guarantee that she won't show up);
  • We have quite some good mook units at our disposal (GN-XIII, Vincent, Vincent Ward, Akatsuki).

Actually didn't we skip a geass event last turn too?

Maybe Marianne already went turn coat and is with Charles.
