Result: Rose takes 2000 damage (4000/6000 HP), the Denjin is destroyed

This particular Super Robot is a spindly, blue thing with long, cylindrical arms, which it promptly fires at the Rose as a pair of rocket punches.
I think you have the Jovian SRs mixed up, the blue spindly one is a Majin (no relation to Mazinger).
You are Noriko Takaya, and although Kazumi is unconscious as far as you can tell, and Gunbuster itself is heavily damaged from its short stint in the blackhole you created to destroy the STMC of your home dimension, it's still over 53% operational.
.......... Oh fuck the hell yes.
...Jesus fuck, what? Gunbuster mugged the 11 Masters of Sol?
OH FUCK THE HELL YES!

If I remember right, both Dancouga and Gunbuster are extremely good at killing things in ludicrous quantities. That's good, given our situation, and... is probably also how they survived. Unfortunately, one of them is halfway dead. That's less good, given we're surrounded by fucking everything. INAZUMA KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK would be glorious, but they're in trouble as it is so let's not.

[X] Escort Mission, type yellow NPC
-Assume a defensive formation around Gunbuster while moving toward the escape zone
-Will move slowly as a result

I don't like moving slow, but I like the idea of Gunbuster and two ships being hamstrung even less.

Going slow isn't really an option here, since the Council deployed Headhunters. The slower we go, the more likely it is the Council finishes dealing with the Jovians and turns their attention to us, at which point I expect them to send all of the Headhunters they have after the Gunbuster, and they'll have an easy time destroying it, since Headhunters always target Mobility, which for Gunbuster is the weaker defensive stat.

Still waiting a bit more to see what other people have to say before trying to make a write-in plan here, but one thing I'm certain of is that we want a few of our high Mobility units to act as an interception forces that focuses on eliminating any Headhunters that try to go after the protection targets.

MAP attack spam is a viable option, though not all ships have MAP attacks.

The ones you have right now that do are the Nadesico (Gravity Blast and Phase Transition Cannon, though you can only use one for this), Archangel (Lohengrin Cannons), and the Ra Cailum (Megaparticle cannon barrage)

Other available MAP attacks include Dancouga's Dancou-Cannon Formation and the Gundam Seravee's Megaparticle Cannon Barrage.

[X] Tow line

Can't see them letting us get away with slow walking and we can't break Gunbuster further when we don't have the means to fully fix it

[X] Plan: A little last gift.
-[X] Take adventage of the fighting between the council and the jovians to book it from the area.
-[X] Have the Rose and the Dancouga help the Gunbuster move by pushing it with the help of Noriko doing the best she can to move the colossal machine.
-[X] Have the rest of units form a defensive line for the ships and the super robots in case the idiots notice what we are doing
-[X] If they are kind enough to get all their enemy troops into range and in a good firing angle, unleash the Phase Transition Cannon followed close by the other ships MAP attacks alongside the units that do count with MAP attacks to cause chaos in the battlefield, secure the greatest amount of targets if possible.

Well come up with this, open for suggestions in case.

Felt like the supers pushin Noriko would also be valid while the reals helps us defend everyone, also for the MAP spam, starting the Phase Transition Cannon should give us a time before the jovians can get their barriers running up again.

[] Plan Break On Through
-[] Make general preparations for a withdrawal, so that allied forces can retreat once the protection targets are able to make a clean escape.
-[] Have the Freedom, the Archangel and Seravee Gundam help the N.U.N.S. and Crossbone Vanguard forces breakthrough the encirclement.
--[] If needed, have the Archangel use its Lohengrin Cannons and/or have the Seravee use its map attack to clear the way.
---[] If the map attacks aren't enough, provided Seravee has enough Will, it may use its Trans-AM in order to enhance its capabilites.
-[] Have the Hi-Nu Gundam, Justice Gundam, 00 Gundam, Arios Gundam and GN Archer be on standby as an interception unit, going after any enemy that threathens the safety of either Gunbuster or any of the ships.
--[] Prioritize destroying any Headhunters who might try to go for the Gunbuster.
-[] Have the Rose and the Dancouga help the Gunbuster move by pushing it with the help of Noriko doing the best she can to move the colossal machine.
-[] Have the Dahgi Iris units make use of their reconnaissance equipment to avoid having any Jovian units ambush us with a sudden teleport.

Throwing my own plan into the mix, opinions are welcome.

Gunbuster is in way, way better shape than at the end of it's own series. Also, I endorse the plan of mugging Sol Masters and their Par-Q Machines, and being generally unkind to them

I think that this plan has the best chance of making progress.

I definitely think that while the enemy forces are going after each other, they are going to continue going after us as well, so ignoring them probably isn't a good idea.

Yeeessssss.....

Although, I noticed the Nadesico wasn't anywhere in that plan?

I did not have all units assigned before Lunaryon decided to vote for my plan... speaking of which, here's the finalized version which should have all units assigned (though I'm still open to making modifications if they are needed).

We'll likely have to postphone dealing with the Jovian Federation for another time, since the Council interferred and we have some new arrivals we want to escort out of combat, so we aren't quite finished with Nadesico's plot just yet (but when we come back to deal with Kusakabe, we should likely be more prepared, with more forces, more physical weaponry and propaganda to distrupt the cohesion of the Jovians and maybe spark some more defections to us).

The last big event that we've selected for the turn is the attack on the Geass Order headquarters in Taklamakan Desert, an event that, depending on circumstances either marks the fact we're getting close to Code Geass' finale or is said finale. Either way, it's going to be important.

February UE 0084
Orbit of Jupiter, Jovian Federation space

MAP Attacks
Archangel, Nadesico, and Gundam Seravee use Phase Transition Cannon, Lohengrin, and GN Bazooka/cannon bombardment
Archangel Roll
Murrue uses FOCUS
Miriallia uses ROUSE
Sai uses SCAN
1d10 + 8 (Murrue's Ability) + 3 (8 Will) + 3 (FOCUS) + 1 (SCAN)
Roll 7
7 + 8 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 22
Nadesico Roll
Roll 1d10 + 8 (Yurika's Ability) + 3 (8 Will) + 1 (SCAN)
Roll 6
6 + 8 + 3 + 1 = 18
Seravee Roll
Tieria activates Gundam Seravee's Trans-Am!
Roll 1d10 + 8 Ability + 3 (8 Will)
Roll 9
9 + 8 + 3 = 20 * 3 = 60

Result: A large gap in the enemy lines is cleared, allowing for a straightforward escape attempt, although both the Jovians and the Council notice...

As you get behind Gunbuster and assist Dancouga in pushing it forward while the pilot of Gunbuster attempts to squeeze as much thrust as they can out of their damaged Super Robot's engines, you see the Archangel, Nadesico, and Gundam Seravee form up.

"All friendly units, get clear! We are firing wide-area attacks to try and clear a pathway for us to escape!" Murrue announces.

The Archangel fires first, the Lohengrin cannons in each of the pylons at the front of the ship spitting positron death out into the void. Numerous Grasshoppers, Fishbowls, and Artillery mechs are disintegrated, although the twin beams eventually bounce off of the Distortion Field of a Jovian mobile battle station.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lRVT3sh418

The Nadesico fires its Phase Transition Cannon immediately after, an unnaturally multicolored beam sailing forward and colliding with the Jovian mobile battle station that stopped the Archangel's twin positron beams. In a flash of light, a ball of the same multi-colored energy that makes up the beam of the Phase Transition Cannon rapidly engulfs not only the mobile battle station, but its surrounding escorts and a large number of Jovian Super Robots.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5puA4nvjtcs

"Activating Trans-Am!" Tieria Erde yells.

The Gundam Seravee glows red, and Tieria immediately fires all of the Gundam Seravee's GN beam bazookas and beam cannons on full power, with as wide of a coverage as he could possibly get.

The effect is immediate, with any machine not equipped with a Distortion Field or heavy armor immediately exploding in close proximity to the beams. Even those units with a Distortion Field or heavy armor also explode if they don't get out of the beam in time, which is a tall order considering how powerful the beams are. You see a Jovian Super Robot hide behind an asteroid in an attempt to weather the storm, only for the asteroid to be atomized almost immediately, and the Jovian Super Robot's Distortion Field fails while it tries to flee, the Super Robot itself exploding immediately after.

When Tieria stops firing, a sizable gap in the enemy encirclement has opened up, which you and Dancouga immediately push Gunbuster toward the center of, Gunbuster contributing with its own thrusters.

As your group moves into and through the gap, both the Jovians and the Council seem to realize that you're not engaging either of them and simply attempting to escape. Both groups approach in different ways, with the Council simply burning toward your flotilla at maximum thrust, while the Daghi Iris units of the Crossbone Vanguard detect spikes in exotic particles that result from Boson Jumping as the Jovians Boson Jump in fits and spurts.

"Here they come!" Athrun yells as he gets the Justice's beam sabers ready.

As you see the Variable Fighters of the N.U.N.S. and the Crossbone Vanguard's mobile suits fan out to defend the Fold-capable ships, you curse and change the angle at which you're pushing Gunbuster to go around an incoming Boson Jump.

Another 'fat' Jovian Super Robot appears, and fires a pair of missiles at Gunbuster.

Jovian Denjin fires missiles at Gunbuster
vs
Armor DC 26 = 11 Ability + 7 Armor + 6 (11 Will) + 6 (Gutsy) + 2 (Inertial Canceller) - 4 (Heavily Damaged) - 2 (Incapacitated Copilot)
Roll 1d10 + 8 Ability + 4 (Ambush)
Roll 2
2 + 8 + 4 = 14

Result: Gunbuster takes no damage

The Jovian Super Robot fires a pair of missiles from its fists at Gunbuster. The missiles explode several meters short of Gunbuster itself, presumably due to some kind of exotic barrier system.

The Jovian pilot doesn't even have time to regret his choices before the Hi-Nu Gundam descends on it.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2_Y3w8tKlo

Amuro first fires a bazooka at the Jovian Super Robot before deploying his Fin Funnels. The bazooka shell destroys the Jovian Super Robot's right fist. The Jovian pilot raises his machine's Distortion Field, but it's too late: all of the Hi-Nu's Fin Funnels are inside the area of the Distortion Field. The Jovian Super Robot flails about helplessly as the Fin Funnels surgically dismantle it.

"Are you okay, Gunbuster?" Amuro asks.

"Call me Noriko, and yeah, I'm fine. Nice to meet you again, Amuro!" Noriko says.

"I take it the me of your dimension is dead?" Amuro asks.

"Presumably yes, although you were still alive when I was sucked into the black hole. We took the 11 Masters of Sol and the STMC for a hell of a ride." Noriko says.

"I'll take your word for it." Amuro says as he blasts apart an Artillery mech with his beam rifle.

In the distance, you see a group of Headhunters that look like they're lining up shots on either Gunbuster or the ships, but they're blindsided by the ZZ Gundam.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c-qicbYXbM

"Eat this, you creeps. Hi-Mega Cannon, FIRE!" Judau yells.

The ZZ Gundam fires the Hi-Mega Cannon embedded in its head, a massive beam emerging from it. The Headhunters are unable to maneuver out of the way in time, and are all destroyed.

The ZZ Gundam flashes a brief thumbs up towards you before jetting off to chase a pair of Fishbowls going after the Eternal.

Distance Roll
Roll 1d4 + 1 (MAP attack spam) + 1 (avoid unnecessary engagements)
Roll 2
2 + 1 + 1 = 4

Gained 4/5 distance to the escape zone!

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ppBqWcZICI

In the distance, you see the mobile suits of the Crossbone Vanguard attack a Jovian mobile battle station with melee attacks and solid munitions, eventually overwhelming its Distortion Field and allowing a Zondo Gei to get close and slam what they call a 'Shot Lancer' into the bridge. With a single pull of the trigger, the massive battle station is figuratively decapitated, and you realize that you're almost at the escape zone.

You glance back and see that the area behind you has devolved into fighting between the Jovians and the Council again, with both of them stepping over each other in their attempt to get at you.

As the Gundams of Celestial Being mop up a group of Artillery mechs that had been attempting to snipe at Gunbuster, you realize you're essentially home free.

Escape is practically guaranteed due to distance traveled.

The N.U.N.S. ships have a few Reaction Warheads onboard. Perhaps you can leave a 'parting gift' for your enemies...

Who do you use the Reaction Warheads on?

[ ] Council Forces
-Like it or not, the Jovian Federation is an entity native to your dimension. Depleting the Council forces faster will leave them with more available manpower and war materiel to use against the Council when the Federation and N.U.N.S. make peace with them...whenever that happens.

[ ] Jovian Federation
-Although bombarding the Jovian forces with weapons of mass destruction will most certainly stir up unpleasant memories of the bombardment of their original Martian Colonies, wiping out even a small bit of the present forces will likely deprive the pro-war faction of manpower and political capital, and perhaps even cause backlash against them in whatever passes for their governmental bodies...

A/N: Sorry for the delay, familial obligations ate up most of the weekend. Next update is going to be the aftermath, being 'reunited' with Noriko, and the start of the Code Geass event. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Oh with a shred of a doubt.

[X] Council Forces

Fuck the council.

Also, I enjoyed the update, the fight was quick and heavy, and it was clear to follow

[X] Council Forces

Hahaha, there's some ok people on the Jovians, they just have the most cartoonish, mustache-twirling, damsel-tied-to-the-tracks, villains leading them... in a dimension with Dr Hell, the Dinosaur Empire, and the Robot Romance Trilogy.

The Council deserves to burn under Ideon.

Unfortunately, we don't have Ideon, so I vote for a full-scale fuck you.

Give them a little taste of what's to come with the Yamato, and light up space in their general direction.
