Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

These are going to be among the worst of the worst, every one of them an old monster with untold numbers of victims.

Don't make the mistake of assuming they deserve to live just because we didn't bother to try backstabbing BS just now.
I'm in favor of the idea of taking them to our hell to be locked away until we can make them part of the world at large again. Or the end of time. You know, whichever comes first.

Good point - that's another viable alternative should we be unable to rehabilitate or at least utilise them in the short term, and then its just a waiting game with infinite time on our side.

Also - to what degree of guilt are we assuming of each vampire - we are tarring them all with that same, most absolute brush of death, when at least some could well be not so different to Isabela - just unlucky enough to meet us in the wrong time - to not have met us before their first kill and falling down the White Red Court rabbit hole - and place, meeting us on an assassination mission where their elders threw them at us as sacrificial pawns as opposed to during an investigation where an elder protected them, and when given the chance to not be slaves to their hunger might make the world better going forward (at least under our direction and guidance).

@DragonParadox would we be able to buy a heretical charm later to allow for permanence? At E4 perhaps? It's a very interesting option, but way too inconvenient to be a base state of the charm.
Agreed, we would risk becoming a walking Superfund site generator.

Can't think of a good stunt.

If they are able to wound him this much we totally would have been able to kill him. They don't even seem to have done agg damage.

Perhaps, but our diplomatic integrity, even with distasteful parties, is also something significant we should consider, and furthermore, even if you don't believe he can be redeemed, considering the value of his performance here we certainly could have more use for him in the future.

The immortality of our hell came from Molly's thought that people should get infinite second chances. The people who would get sent to Hell should instead have another chance to be a good person. Segregated from would be victims if necessary.

From the nature of reality in our soul to the mentor we've been learning from, we're inclined toward rehabilitation over execution.

Exactly what I was failing to articulate! It just feels like its antithetical to how we've built Molly's realm and hypocritical considering our past actions/decisions if we don't at least offer them a chance.

Plus, if we do accept their surrender, that doesn't mean we have to go easy on them, we can still make them earn their redemption.

This isn't battle, it's butchery, you realize wading into the fight against the vampires caught between the fire, claw and sword. Do they deserve any better? A part of you wonders, angry and cold, but as you look to your right to the monster merrily killing them the answer is not as obvious as it might once have been. Vaguely at the back of your mind you had been considering if you could lead him to redemption in some way. After all had Uriel not said that all were capable of it if only they are willing. But if he is worthy why not them?

What do you do?

If we do this they should be confined to our hell until our guys are comfortable with their progress.

If these guys slip I'd prefer it happen around people who will get back up again after being murdered.

[X] Yes

In terms of tactical utility the key would be to call up things that are inherently temporary; weather and environmental conditions mostly.

Our hell is built with imprisoning people in mind. We have it within us to play Demonreach with our soul.
Only technically, we didn't take the prison options to really make it stick.

Vamps and the like are one thing, but a creature like a Naagoloshii is basically an evil terrain feature from a magical perspective. We might be an evil looking planet, but people like Broken Seeker are still off the scale and experience necessary to abuse that sort of access.

Personally, I say fuck them children of Camazotz.

But Molly?

Is it potentially detrimental? Yup! Is it Interesting Story? Very much, and that's always been my priority when I vote in this story

Strictly speaking, in DF, they had until chosing to drain mortal for the first time, after that they're fucked(unless there's offhanded mention somewhere in short story or rpg about red vamps seeking redemption), sanctity of free will and all that

If we were E6+ Devil-Tiger I would say yes, but alas, we are not

Not a completely one sided vote yet, but a preference is showing itself.

Unrelated note, my keyboard seemed to hate typing that response.

The fact that they are being massacred does not make them victims. They are still ancient monsters who don't deserve pity, they are just weaker than the monster killing them.

What would we even do with them if they surrendered while we're on a plane over their territory?
