How well can someone track Molly with this? Obviously they'll know which bodies of water she's been in and if she's left, but could they tell where she left, say, the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean if she just chose to materialize on a random beach somewhere without going through rivers/lakes that have their own spirits to detect her presence?

Fairly sure they can't even do the former reliably considering it was the result of a bad roll.

Until a better vote shows itself(if at all) this seems fine. I guess we bluffing. Ngl though I totally get why people are aggravated by them I am too.

If we want to avoid ghosts in the waters giving us away, then we could start spiritually dredging bodies of water. Gather up all those who left their mark when they drowned, died at sea, were dumped there, etc. Then help them find peace, purpose, etc.

That would probably involve a lot of work for Lydia though. We'd want to set something up, hire ectomancers like Mortimer as a staff to assist her, or something to aid her in that case. Organizing ectomancers under the authority of our exalted daughter of a death god friend into social workers for the deceased feels like something that the exalted might do. I'm kind of picturing the bureaucracy from Beetlejuice as I type this.

Again it was just a bad roll.
 
Yeah, using the Crown was entirely a mistake that is oikely to cost us the whole endeavor as we are forced to use more and more essence to correct it.

Oh no, it is both, since now not only do we have to explain, but we have one less mote to use before lighting up like a Christmas tree right in the middle of an airport, for an information that we could have obtained later without any fuss, when we weren't pressed for stealthy motes.

The use of the crown was unnecessary in the first place, proceeding to wave the knowledge we got after is just the cherry on the cake.
 
Let's just nip this encounter in the bud without expending further resources or wasting more time.

I honestly didn't want to buy it in the first place, but if we want to reveal a way of gaining hidden knowledge to cover the crown it's a good option.

This is a bust. If they have detected us then the red Court has likely detected us. The plane isn't going to fly.
