Sasori is at a pretty serious disadvantage for socials since he's a Creepy Monster. Even Zaiyu was pretty uncomfortable when he first met Sasori because he looks a bit like an uncanny valley Estil. His personality is pretty cute, though, so maybe he can compensate for being an innately terrifying predator who makes people's survival instincts sit up and pay attention?

We are such bad parents. I'm thinking he's noticed we aren't very good at looking out for him given what's been happening this entire shopping trip. In our defense, this is like. Liked the update. Our mc being as great as usual. Bet Tomoe is wary of him because of out of place they appear to be. Rose was engaging and i bet this leads to drama. If the worst happens, we can easily fight out way from here to the outside. Wonder if Sasori got the ability to turn into perfect copies of concepts he picks?

It was a masterful bit of manipulation that Zaiyu did without even realising. He's pretty determined to protect us now, and it appears that motivation was exactly what he needed to get his Mimicry functioning again.

Something just occurred to me. Wouldn't it be funny if every bit of manipulation he tried to do failed or backfired, but he kept accidentally successfully manipulating people by incidentally being nice and giving good advice?

Basic decency can be surprisingly good in securing loyalty and good relationship, especially in stories. There is a reason a caged monster usually targets the villain first instead of the hero when free.
