My objection here is telling her before have a chance to go over the information OOC. Might be that there isn't a good way to tell her, or that we're better off keeping her out of it entirely.
Having actually thought it over? I agree with Yog that we should talk with Tuzi first.
Typically, in police investigations IRL and their media depictions, you talk to the loved ones about new discoveries because it might jolt memories or recontextualize stuff they didnt think was originally noteworthy. And we're still gathering intel.
For example, if J's death was faked, why?
If he was a willing accomplice, or even a brainwashed one, there would be no reason for it. He'd have just laid low.
And whose body was planted in his place?
What I dont agree with is burning Crown foci.
Its a bugbear of mine that Yog is a little too cavalier about expending foci.
So we aren't going to the meeting?
We'll have to ask the QM in the morning, but as things stand, I dont believe supernatural custom and etiquette require that you walk into a meeting given evidence of the other party preparing treachery.
We still might, if we think we can turn it to out advantage.
I don't think we should as things stand. The point of all this recon work is so that we can balance things in our favor. Just knowing about the issues is barely worth anything if we don't do something with it.
Right now I'm inclined towards firebombing the ritual site before they're done and killing anyone who survives that once we're confident we've wrecked their setup.
I dont think there IS a ritual site.
Or rather, that the ritual site is likelty the entire area of Chinatown.
And their hotel address is a hundred apartment 3-star hotel in Chinatown, which is nowhere to start a fight in.
