Welp. Time to buckle up gang, this one's liable to hurt.

EX Scene: Bonds
A/N: Sees that no one has written any side stories for this quest.
Me: Fine, I'll do it myself.

"Saji, don't let them take me!" Louise Halevy yells in fright as a pair of men drag her away. She reaches out toward Saji.
"LOUISE!" Saji yells as he tries to take Louise's hand, only for someone to slam him in the side of the head. He falls to the ground seeing spots in his vision, helpless to do anything as someone takes away the love of his life.
Saji lies on the ground for a bit before gathering the strength to stand up. Before he can do so, he hears someone cocking a pistol. He looks up to see Louise, her hair cut short into a bob and pointing a gun at him. She's wearing some kind of military uniform.
"Louise...?" Saji says in confusion and horror.
Louise's expression shifts to one of berserk rage as she tosses aside the pistol and grabs Saji by the throat.

Saji Crossroad awakens with a start in his bunk aboard the Ptolemios. Christina Sierra pokes her head into the room.

"Are you alright Saji? You were screaming in your sleep again." She says with concern.

"I had the same nightmare again." Saji says glumly.

Christina's expression darkens before she pushes herself over to Saji and hugs him.

"Oh sweetie. We'll get her back, I promise." She says gently.

Saji reciprocates the hug.

"I know. I just wish I could do more to contribute. All I've done so far is take up space on the ship and eat your food." Saji says.

"That's not true! You've been learning how GN Drives work and helping out with maintenance of the Gundams and the ship." Christina protests.

Saji sighs.

"I guess you're right. It's just that, I don't know, I want to do something that I know will help in getting Louise back. Sorry if I'm not making any sense." Saji tries to explain.

"No, no, I get it." Christina says.

A few seconds pass in awkward silence.

"Don't be afraid to talk to Sumeragi or Dr. Moreno about anything, okay?" Christina says.

Saji nods. Christina hugs him again before departing, leaving Saji alone in the room to stew in his own thoughts.

A/N: A little something I had in mind for a while, but couldn't justify including in any of the main story posts. Did I keep Saji and Christina in character?

It always hurts to lose those close to you, and Saji definitely felt in character to me. Good side story content.

Well this is sort of disappointing. No one else can think of a different plan? I'd like to point out that the Type 96 AS is, based on what I remember of it from FMP, not really anything special.

August UE 0083
Countryside surrounding Tokyo

"Is everyone in position?" You ask.

Everyone else sounds off in order.

"Ok, remember, the operation starts as soon the clock hits midnight." You remind everyone. The other pilots and the squad leaders covering the flanks and rear give the digital equivalent of a nod.

You look over the other Super Robots and double take at the sight of Kouji's new machine.

"Kouji, what happened? Where's Mazinger Z?" You ask.

"Long story, it happened while you were in Africa. We'll tell you about it after we get through this." Kouji says.

"Kouji got a sweet new ride huh. Jealous?" Yukari teases you.

"Not at all. It suits him far better than it would me." You say while poorly hiding a grin.

"All units, we are commencing Operation Yashima!" Captain Katsuragi announces over the open comm freq.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u6V6UisBz8

A series of long-range artillery pieces-the kind rendered obsolete by the Minovsky Particle-unleash a volley of experimental thermal smoke rounds. According to Dr. Akagi and the MAGI, a properly placed salvo should be capable of briefly blinding Ramiel. Unfortunately, you only have enough shells for a single salvo, so Shinji is going to have to make this shot count. Most of the shells detonate within the city around Ramiel, although around a dozen are set to airburst around it.

"Shinji, as soon as you have a shot, take it!" Captain Katsuragi urges Shinji.

You are Shinji Ikari, and you're trying to line up a shot on the Angel's core.

"Come on, come on..." You mutter to yourself as you see the targeting reticle flit about. You'd raised concerns that the thermal smoke would blind you as much as the Angel, but Dr. Akagi had assured you that a network of sensors around Ramiel's location would help get past any interference the smoke causes. You sincerely hope it's working.

You think back on an encounter you had with Rei Ayanami in her apartment, then shake your head to clear your thoughts.

Now's not the time to get philosophical! You chide yourself.

A few seconds later, your targeting reticle stabilizes and zooms on what you assume is the Angel's core. Looks like this is going to be your best chance. On Kurz Weber's advice, you exhale and stop breathing before you pull the trigger.

"Taking the shot!" You announce over all freqs.

Shinji tries to snipe Ramiel's core
DC 16
1d10 + 6 Ability + 2 (Kurz's advice)
Roll 3
3 + 6 + 2 = 11

Result: Ramiel is damaged, but the Angel's core is still intact, and now Ramiel's pissed

A massive green beam erupts forth from your positron rifle, and you see the cloud of thermal smoke part around the beam as it passes through. Ramiel's AT Field flashes as it attempts to block the positron beam to no avail, and you see the beam spear the Angel right through the center of mass. The sound Ramiel emits can only be described as screaming geometrically, as the rhomboid shifts form into a bunch of spikes while red fluid gushes out of the wound your positron rifle caused.

Misato is about to congratulate you on a job well done when one of the bridge technicians, Hyuga, you think, informs you all that the Angel is still alive.

You watch in horror as Ramiel blasts away the remaining thermal smoke through a combination of targeting the ground to cause explosions and some kind of airburst particle beam (how does that even work?). Ramiel changes shape again, this time into a shape you vaguely remember from geometry class: a torus.

There's a flash of white, and an orange mass seems to appear out of nowhere and coagulate into...Sachiel?! The 3rd Angel charges the hill you've set up on. EVA-00 steps up and readies its shield. As Sachiel draws closer, you realize it's slightly off course, it's heading for the left flank instead of your sniping position.

The Leo platoon covering the left flank opens fire when the squad leader realizes that Sachiel is heading for their position. Bullets, beam rounds, and dober gun shells are fired at Sachiel, and instead of pinging off of an AT field, they impact the Angel's body with full force. Sachiel (?) begins bleeding an orange liquid from its wounds and falls to its knees. One Leo pilot takes the opportunity to fire his dober gun at the copy Sachiel's core, hitting it dead on and causing it to dissolve into orange liquid.

You breath a sigh of relief, only to see Ramiel forming more copies of Sachiel, and now that you see it, Shamshel. They all begin to charge your position. You fretfully glance at your charge gauge.

Why is this taking so long? You think to yourself frantically.

Tactical Information

Ramiel is injured, but alive, and vaguely aware of EVA-01's sniping position
Ramiel is capable of creating copies of the previous Angels
The copy Angels are not capable of using AT fields, and can be injured by conventional weapons
The MAGI have concluded that while copy Angels will succumb to cumulative damage, destroying a copy's core will kill it instantly
The MAGI posit that killing Ramiel will also kill all copy Angels
There are currently 16 copy Angels, 8 Sachiel, and 8 Shamshel, heading toward your position
4 Sachiel Copies are headed for the left flank, 4 Shamshels are headed for the right flank, 4 Shamshels and 2 Sachiels are charging EVA-01's firing position, and 2 Sachiels are flying toward the rear

Distraction

What will you use to distract Ramiel now?

[ ] Indirect barrage
-NERV had already set up missile silos, remote artillery parks, and a system that will let it target the Angel even with the sheer amount of Minovsky interference occurring sometime beforehand, though not for this exact situation
-Each round of combat, a variable amount of this remote artillery will be destroyed by Ramiel, as determined by a roll of 3d20. If the total rolled is greater than 50, enough of the artillery will have been destroyed to render the entire network unusable. Every turn that the check is successfully passed, the threshold decreases by 10.

[ ] Mobile Doll Waves
-Engineer Tubarov of the Romefeller Foundation has offered the use of his new Mobile Doll system to distract the Angel. He was only able to implement the system on a large number of mobile suits that are mostly outdated, but considering the circumstances, it won't be a terrible loss.
-There are enough Mobile Dolls to send in waves for 3 rounds of combat.
What do you lead with?
-[ ] GM IIs
-[ ] Hizacks
-[ ] Leos

Recharge assistance

Will you use any of the Super Robots with exotic energy sources to speed up EVA-01's recharging of the positron rifle?
Super Robots assigned will not be available to assist in combat, and must pass a high DC check to not be damaged by differing power systems

[ ] Mazinkaiser

[ ] Great Mazinger

[ ] Getter Robo

[ ] Combattler V

[ ] Voltes V

[ ] None

Zero always seems to have a trick up his sleeve. While he probably couldn't anticipate this exact situation, he undoubtedly set something up that will help.

Do you use Man of Miracles?

[ ] Yes

[ ] No

Zero's preparations aside, what do you do?

[ ] Write-in
-Specify the following: Who takes the frontline against the copy Angels charging EVA-01's position, and whether or not the units covering the rear position will move to reinforce either flank.

A/N: Not completely better yet, but at least I don't feel absurdly light-headed while walking around anymore. Still not completely clear in the head at times though, which is why the combat plan has no default options. Please come up with something good, and give the plan a cool name!

...So to start off with, Combattler and Voltes V both use Electromagnetism, so I have a feeling that they are going to be the slowest to recharge the rifle.

Equally, Mazinkaiser and Great Mazinger have Photon Energy, which means that they likely have the fastest recharge rates.

Getter Robo however, uses Getter Rays... And Getter Rays are weird. I give it a 50/50 shot that Getter is either going to take the middle amount of time, or it will do something fucky to the rifle do to how Getter Rays don't always like to work with metal. On the other hand, Getter Rays have a bit of a soft spot for humanity, and they aren't particularly fond of stagnant entities such as the angels. So there is a chance there that they will further alter the rifle in such a way as to enhance it to be able to handle the threat better.

But just as much, the Getter Team aren't exactly the kinds of people who like to sit back and stay out of the fight. So that is another issue.

Well at least things haven't gone THAT sideways.

Besides cannot blame shinji, poor kid needed a 7 on a D10 to even make the check even with all the modifiers

And thanks the lord those copy angels don't have AT fields, that makes it fairly more easier to deal with them.

Either way, for distraction, I say we sent the mobile dolls, like I said before, artillery is subject to dice gods and a check of a 50 on 3 D20, so any bad roll and those will be gone on turn 1.

On the recharge, I am torn on whenever to use or not the Supers to recharge the positron rifle, faster charge on one hand, high roll check on the other.

Mazinkaiser is out of the question, that thing is a powerhouse and too valuable to be lost for QM knows how long to a bad roll.

Great Mazinger on the other hand, Tetsuya is a great pilot and Great mazinger is his pride and partner, but since this is mashing elements of Mazinkaiser, there is also the posibility that this is still not the full power version of great left behind by Yuzo Kabuto alongside Mazinkaiser, but then again that still may also not be a thing.

And yeah Voltes and Combattler probably don't charge the machine too quickly considering it is using electromagnetism.

And I rather not let the getter rays go outside of a getter reactor considering how fucky that energy is. there is also that Getter rays are a pretty big fuck you if they go unstable or critical, just ask the dinosaur empire and Musashi.

Also we should use Man of Miracles, description says it is once per combat so that may give us adventage

Either way, we can destroy many copies as we want, but unless Ramiel is death they will not be stopping.

For the flanks, we can probably spare 1 or 2 super robots each to try and minimize casualities, we have the double mazingers, getter robo, Combattler V, Voltes V and Daimos.

Sachiel is probably the easiest to dealt with without AT field since his core is the most exposed.

Shamsel on the other hand has those whips and is quite fast with them.

We should probably spread forces equally to all flanks, but leave more heavy hitters for the EVA area.

Either way that is all I can say so far about the situation, will probably come up with a plan when I am not tired, it is over 1 am over here after all.

I'll admit, this might be leaning into Lulu's latest gambit not going horribly wrong just a little hard, but I'm feeling a little uncertain about what our actual strategy beyond preventing too many losses from our mook brigade or damage to Shinji's long term health. (Especially since we just spent an action working on improving the poor guy's quality of life.)

I've decided to have Getter power The positron rifle because I'm confidant they're the most likely to power through any damage with HARD WORK AND GUTS. They'll either charge the rifle at a dramatically appropriate time or power through the pain to keep fighting regardless of the odds.

Also if the copy angels get their not-eyes on Shinji, he and Rei probably will get death ray-ed by the Angel of Wave Motion Guns. So that's why I want to commit our forces to killing the things before they have a chance to do any real damage.

Indirect Barrage is best used now I think, since the battle already has a risk of compromising and losing the artillery positions anyway, with the angel swarms and big lazer. They can hardly evade.

Not expending Man of Miracles until we actually need a miracle. Its clear things aren't THAT bad yet

I'm picking the Electromagnetic Super Robots as the charge assists on the basis that:
-Combattler and Voltes are not super durable like Mazingers are, they're better off assisting with the charging process than directly contesting.
-Electromagnetic Power is almost certainly more compatible with a Positron weapon than Photon Power or Getter Rays, we're warned that differing power systems can cause damage, and we only need to cope with adapting to different frequency power intake, rather than adapting different kinds of physics.
-Combattler and Voltes are combiners, which means more accessible power ports and such.

I've done an edit to my plan on the tactics front now that I've slept on it and done some considerations as to what I want to achieve.

I'd rather pull the trigger on Lelouch now rather than rely on him alone when we have literally no other options. We can look towards canon Code Geass if we feel like learning how badly LuLu's plans can get when he gets overconfident. Instead of allowing Ramiel to pull another surprise for us after we choose to use try and solve our problems with the exiled prince we can instead adapt to whatever Ramiel may or may not pull to survive the plot.

As much as I don't like the getter to recharge the beam, it is probably our best shot, specially if we can get a shot fired sooner than Ramiel detecting Shinji spot, specially if Ramiel gets filled with something as eldritch as him that hates his guts, we can just hope for best case scenario.

August UE 0083
Camouflaged firing position, wilderness around Tokyo

You are Lelouch Lamperouge, and things have gone south in so many ways it's not even funny.

Aside from EVA-01 failing to destroy Ramiel with the first shot, now copies of the 3rd and 4th Angels are charging your position.

No choice, you'll have to use your trump card, and not how it was intended to be used. You key the Black Knights freq.

"Q1, P5, emergency countermeasures, now! We have to slow down the Angel copies!" You order.

"What?" Kallen says. "But that's not how-"

"I know that's not how it was meant to be used, but we have to do something, and I don't think there will be a better opportunity for it!" You interrupt Kallen.

"Understood. Tamaki, come with me!" Kallen says.

The Guren and Tamaki's Burai zip down the hill to where you had a group of your soldiers embed a large canister in the ground. The Guren sidles up to the canister while Tamaki's Burai reaches into the ground and opens a hidden panel. You get back on an open channel.

"Attention all friendly units, we will be inducing a mudslide! All friendly units should already be above the danger zone, so please, do not go below the designated line! Once the mudslide occurs, hold position and fire at will!" You key back to the Black Knights freq. "Q1, now!"

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ybY00x49B4

The Guren grasps the end of the cylinder with the Radiant Wave Surger and cranks it up to full power. At the same time, Tamaki's Burai pulls a lever. In an instant, a large quantity of water is flash-boiled, and a wave of mud surges down the hill. All of the Shamshel copies are bogged down, forced to use their whips to dig themselves clear. Some of the Sachiel copies aren't able to get airborne in time, and are also bowled over by the mud. However, a pair that was already in the air is unaffected, and continue on their course toward the rear.

"Fire, fire! Kill those bastards!" A Jegan pilot yells over his squad freq.

You sigh in relief. At the least, the copy Angels have been slowed down. Now you just have to hope Ramiel doesn't cotton on to EVA-01's position.

"Have the Mobile Dolls target the drill if they make it far enough." Tubarov says.

You are Misato Katsuragi, and you're trying to get things back on track.

"The first wave of Mobile Dolls is inbound, coming into range of the 5th Angel!" Hyuga reports.

You glance at a camera feed and wince as Ramiel sweeps a particle beam across a trio of MS transports. Although Tubarov had the foresight to have the first few transports be unmanned dummies, it's still sickening to watch such wanton destruction. You shift attention to a different feed, and watch as a group of 12 Hizack Mobile Dolls touch down on the ground. They advance toward Ramiel, firing beam rifles and machine guns which ping off of the Angel's AT field. Ramiel responds by firing at the group of Mobile Dolls, and for a split second before the Hizacks explode, it looks like they were perforated by an oversized shotgun. You're glad they're unmanned.

"Have the next waves of Mobile Dolls scatter further on approach to the Angel, they're being destroyed too quickly!" Tubarov says in irritation.

"Ma'am, the Getter Robo team is assisting EVA-01 with recharging the positron rifle!" Maya reports in alarm.

"What?! What are they doing?" Ritsuko asks in bafflement.

"They've connected a power cable to their Getter Ray reactor." Maya says.

"Let me see that!" Ritsuko orders as she leans down to look at the data on Maya's console.

Getter Robo attempts to hasten the recharge of the positron rifle
DC 16
Roll 1d10 + 2 (GUTS!) + 4 (Believe in the power of Getter)
Roll 7
7 + 2 + 4 = 13

Result: Getter Robo takes damage due to a power surge (3000/6000 HP) and is forced to disconnect, but gives enough power that EVA-01 will be able to fire at the start of the next round

Ritsuko grabs a headset as she looks at the incoming data. After a few seconds, her expression shifts from confusion to horror.

"Getter team, you're sending too much power at once! You'll burn out the more sensitive circuits at this rate!" Ritsuko says in panic.

"We weren't intending to give that much, it started doing it on its own! We're trying to get it under contr-shit!" You hear the voice of Ryoma Nagare.

"Getter team, what happened?" Ritsuko asks?

"Power surge went through Getter Robo, blew out some of the circuits. What about the positron rifle?" Ryoma asks. Ritsuko does a quick once-over of the readouts from the positron rifle.

"It's fine. Don't do that again though, I don't think we'll be as lucky." She says.

"What's the status on the surface?" You ask.

The Rear

"Fire, fire! Target the core!" A GN-X pilot says in half-panic as he fires a red GN beam at one of the two Sachiel copies coming down on his group. Enacts and Flags fire their railguns at the other copy Sachiel, perforating its torso and causing it to bleed orange. The Sachiel copy retaliates by swiping at the Enacts, catching one with a glancing blow and tearing off its limbs as a result.

The Tierens form a firing line and fire all of their weapons at the Sachiel copy, blowing off its face and creating a large hole in its chest. A Flag pilot takes the opportunity to charge the core and stab it with its sonic blade. At the same time, the GN-Xs catch the other Sachiel copy in a crossfire, one particularly brave or foolish GN-X pilot charging the core and shooting it with its beam rifle before stabbing it with a GN beam saber. Both Sachiel copies collapse into orange fluid seconds later.

The Right Flank

You are Kouji Kabuto, and you are eager to put Mazinkaiser through its paces.

In the distance, you see the combined force of Type 96 JSDF AS and Jegans fire on the approaching Shamshel copies as the Angels struggle through the mud. They're doing damage, but the copy Angels will reach the top of the hill shortly despite being hindered by the mud.

"Ready Tetsuya?" You ask your friend as an almost feral grin breaks out on your face.

"Thought you'd never ask, Kabuto." Tetsuya responds.

Result: Both copy Shamshels are destroyed

"Turbo Smasher Punch!" You yell.

You launch Mazinkaiser's fists at the closest Shamshel copy. The copy Angel attempts to dodge, only for Kaiser's fists to smash through it, leaving a pair of twin holes in its torso before it dissolves into orange fluid.

"Nicely done Kabuto!" Tetsuya says. "Thunder Break!"

You see Great Mazinger stick its right arm up, finger pointed to the heavens. Lightning starts arcing between Great's horns and its fingertip, before Tetsuya takes Great's right hand and points with emphasis at another Shamshel copy. Lightning erupts from Great Mazinger's fingertip, roasting the copy Angel, which undulates in either pain or damage before dissolving into orange fluid.

"Yeah!" You exclaim.

You and Tetsuya have Mazinkaiser and Great Mazinger high five before turning your attention to the remaining Shamshel copies.

The Left Flank

"Choudenji Yo-Yo!" Hyoma yells.

Combattler V draws forth a pair of bladed yo-yos and swings them at one of the approaching Sachiel copies. It tries to swat them away, only to miss and have them slam into its core. The Sachiel copy spasms before dissolving into orange fluid.

"Ten-ku-ken!" Kenichi yells as Voltes V draws a sword formed from the V logo in its chest.

Voltes V clashes with another airborne Sachiel copy. Voltes V kicks the Sachiel copy back before going for a downward swing. The copy attempts to catch the blade with its bare hands, only for the sword to cut through its hands, and ultimately cut the Angel copy in half, the separated parts dissolving into orange fluid as the drop to the ground.

"Haaaaah!" You hear Sosuke yell.

You and Yukari turn to see the Arbalest leap into the air at one of the struggling Shamshel copies.

Arbalest vs Shamshel copy
vs
Armor DC 10 = 6 Ability + 4 Armor
Roll 1d10 + 6 Ability + 3 (8 Will)
Roll 8
8 + 6 + 3 = 17 + 20% (Lambda driver) = 17 + 3 = 20

Result: The Shamshel copy is destroyed

You see the Arbalest level its shotgun and fire with a flash of white. One of the Shamshel copy's arms is blown off. The Arbalest lands on the copy Angel's head and grabs on tight. As the Shamshel copy tries to buck off the Arbalest, Sosuke empties the rest of the shells his shotgun has into the copy Angel's head, before stabbing it with one of the Arbalest's knives. The Arbalest clenches its free hand into a fist, and you see a glowing white aura form around it before Sosuke slams it with as much force as the Arbalest can muster into the Shamshel copy's head. The Shamshel copy begins to slump over, and the Arbalest leaps off before it dissolves into orange fluid.

"Having a Lambda Driver's pretty handy, huh." Yukari notes to no one in particular.

The two of you turn your attention to the Sachiel copy approaching the Rose.

Rose vs Sachiel copy
Sachiel copy attacks with melee
vs
Armor DC 14 = 8 Ability + 4 (9 Will) + 2 (Yukari Copilot)
Roll 1d10 + 6 Ability
Roll 5
5 + 6 = 11
Rose attacks with Crystal Sword
vs
Armor DC 10 = 6 Ability + 4 Armor
Roll 1d10 + 8 Ability + 4 (9 Will)
Roll 4
4 + 8 + 4 = 16

Result: The Sachiel copy is destroyed

The Sachiel copy slams its arms against the Rose. Yukari brings the Rose's arms up in a defensive posture, and it becomes clear after a few seconds that the copy Angel can't even scratch your Super Robot's paint. You sigh before kicking the Sachiel copy back.

"Give me the Crystal Sword!" You say.

"Got it! Raising output!" Yukari responds.

You draw the hilt of the Crystal Sword, the eponymous blade emerging from it a moment later. You surge forward and slash downward, cutting through the arm the Sachiel copy had raised in a defensive posture, and cutting off the upper torso of the copy Angel. The separate parts dissolve into orange fluid.

"How's everyone else doing?" You wonder as you turn your attention to another copy Angel. In the distance, you see Hizack Mobile Dolls charge at Ramiel, only for the Angel to sweep them away with its particle beam.

Tactical Information

There are 9 Copy Angels remaining
2 Sachiel copies are on the left flank
2 Shamshel copies are on the right flank
3 Shamshel copies and 1 Sachiel copy are in the center
The rear is secure
It has been observed that the Sachiel copies have not used the eye beams or Spears of Light the original had
Mobile Dolls are distracting Ramiel for now
The Shamshel copies will free themselves from the mud next round
EVA-01 will be able to take another shot at the start of the next round

What will you use to distract Ramiel?

[ ] Mobile Dolls
-You have enough reserves left for two rounds
-[ ] GM IIs
-[ ] Leos

[ ] Indirect barrage
-NERV had already set up missile silos, remote artillery parks, and a system that will let it target the Angel even with the sheer amount of Minovsky interference occurring sometime beforehand, though not for this exact situation
-Each round of combat, a variable amount of this remote artillery will be destroyed by Ramiel, as determined by a roll of 3d20. If the total rolled is greater than 50, enough of the artillery will have been destroyed to render the entire network unusable. Every turn that the check is successfully passed, the threshold decreases by 10.

If EVA-01 cannot kill Ramiel with the next shot, what will your strategy be?

It just feels wrong to waste the Mobile Dolls. I know that that is what they are there for, but like...

Robots that are shaped like people tend to start thinking like people in stuff like this, so I don't want to treat them terribly. If that makes any sense.

The problem is that I am not sure that they won't be the most efficient means of handling things...

Should we start the barrage now or hold with the dolls?

I understand where you're coming from, but the Mobile Doll system is really just a jumped up Drone program compared to other examples in the genre. Thankfully, veekie is right in switching our methods, the barrage will work for a distraction. While I'm sad to fumble the roll and lose Getter Robo at this point, since theymanaged to give a jump to the rifle, I'll call it a win.

Having said that, we need to wipe these copies out. If this next shot doesn't kill, it may be time for us to play ball with Ramiel, and we can't afford that sort of distraction.
