Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Let the Vampires go
-[X] You are not going to betray your allies no matter how distasteful
-[X] Usum is right, you still have all that contact information
-[X] Stunt: Covered in blood, and cluthing a sword of brass and hellfire, your back is straight and posture regal, as you speak, no, declare your decision and their fate: "Go now, and know, that on this night, I hold np grudge against you and yours and will remember your service here. When our paths cross again, as long as no innocent is suffering from your actions, I do not foresee myself pronouncing judgement upon you"

Let's leave them with an inpression that we can see potential futures.

Terror usually is a poor yoke to wield over people, not so much for Infernals.
It may be useful to have a contact in the Red Court, letting him live will save us some resources should Molly want to interact with them.

Even if it's just someone to develop into a pawn to undermine and divide the Red Court.

I'm certain our new friend would eventually take advantage of a few wishes

If we are going to let them go, we certainly shouldn't frame it as "Yeah, all good friendo, have a good day". This is not an amicable parting of allies.

They tried to interfere into our affairs, manipulate and suborn Molly, didn't go away when we told them to go away, are a hostile faction to our allies and, in the end, just plain weaker than we are - we are very much in position to make at least some further demands, I think. Moreso, further demands are expected from us, given what Molly looks like.

Wasnt there a secret exit in the base? We could ask them to guard it so that none escapes through it. Also Molly tanked that death curse like a pro
Ed: What would have happened to us if the curse really affected us? Would we receive damage or just another endurance roll?

Depending on how many successes you lost by you would suffer pain ranging from agonizing to crippling with additional physical maluses, like say your head hurts so much your vision blurs.

He also tried to trap us with the death curse so if it succeeded, we could CCC to escape. If I'm reading the whole imprisoned in your own flesh thing correctly.

Ah and on anyone who did not have the supernatural pain resistance charm Molly has the curse would have, on a sufficient number of successes, locked them in an agonizing coma unable even to scream as every muscle locked up. Without some kind of magical aid such a person would not survive long. With Molly being what she is even the worst outcome would have left her somewhat functional though

You have no way to escape your own body so CCC would not have applied. The means of getting rid of it would have probably been either Ancient Sorcery or making an artifact for the purpose of curse-breaking.
Would getting shaping defense solve the issue?

Specificially, Pattern Protection charm that specificially restores Molly's health in addition to granting shaping defense.

Its possible Michael could have done something on some of the worst outcomes. He has removed curses and such before, and working alongside a Knight of the cross might get us a good chance of getting the divine help he can invoke. I doubt Mentor 5 is just fluff.

Yeah, both in DF and oWoD True Faith is pretty good against stuff like this.

Anyway, how many more enemies do we think we still have to fight today?

With Molly being what she is even the worst outcome would have left her somewhat functional though
That moment when you realize that those -5 difficulty penalty could be transformed into additional 5 dice.

As Harry has painfully learned, ecology is a thing even in a magical world. We remove these, something else is gonna crawl into that niche.

This is a bad argument. At a macro level this is an issue, but on a personal one they're predatory monsters and killing them would definitely improve the lives of their future victims.

Removing groups like this doesn't solve the big picture problems, but that doesn't mean it's pointless.

Besides - we are the newcomer who is preparing to fill in the vacuum. An infernal isn't a lone hero who rides off into the dawn after adventure is concluded.
