Interplanetary Exploration Coop is merely looking for ways space can give material benifits to them. They dont care about science and what little funds they do give us will be gone as soon as we focus on science

Intercosmos on the other hand is seeking to bring the light of reason into space, they will fund our scientific efforts, and aren't described as giving us "some small amount of funds".

With IEC in the lead, and Intercosmos right behind it, I beg of you, vote soley for Intercosmos, for a better future of scientific discovery, not merely exploitation of space resources

I feel like I may have slightly mischaracterized the IEC. They do want you to do science - they're also focused on the way space science can benefit life on the planet (think NASA's research and everything it's affected).

I am begging you my comrades, support solely Intercosmos, who value discovery for itself, over the revisionist IEC, who seek merely practical applications, and who, I believe, will have less intresting internal politics

also they give us much less money and are worse at naming things

Nay comrade, the IEC are the splitters, for being the only communist group to be terrible at naming things

Also, Intercosmos has the votes to stand on it's own, we need not approval vote, which as of now would only leaed to the IEC winning for some reason

EDIT: as per word of the QM, the IEC is soley ancom, whereas Intercosmos runs the gauntlet from the Soviets to the CNT, it includes every ideoligy from Maoism to Anarcho-Communism. Isn't it more intresting to have many ideoligies vying for support then just one?

why don't you add in the democracies too for maximum craziness and to use the power of COLD WAR DICKWAVING to advance science and reduce tensions

[X] Intercosmos - The Peoples' Representatives have elected to invest in a truly international program of space exploration, seeking to bring the light of reason and cooperation to the darkness of space.

I guess if my number 2 pick is leading by so much, I'll just vote for my preferred option.

[X] United Space Exploration Bureau - The powers of the world have elected to avoid the horrors of the recent Great War by attempting to foster stronger international ties and cooperation.

Democracies are already included. Kinda weird for you to just use 'democracies' as a way to refer to capitalist democracies.
well some of the Internationale members are akin to Maoist and Dictactorships and I already asked if said faction is democratic but capitalist or Cold War South Korea where a "president" publicly executes communists.

Right, but we know that a good number of the Internationale members are democracies. Thus, to talk about democracies being included implies you think they aren't for some reason.

I know that the political nature of our Sponsors will matter somewhat, but I highly doubt the exact flavor of Communism anyone is running is really going to matter beyond 'different ideologies don't get along' in a quest mostly about running a Space Agency.

...of course, I could be completely wrong.

[X] Penelope Carter [The Director] - Your skills lie in managing people. You have... a gift, really, for making sure people go where they'll be happiest and most productive, and enough social graces to make sure that if you've got to ruffle feathers, they remain as un-ruffled as possible. You also have a fair few friends in the groups that decide where money goes. [+10 to Politics rolls, +2 Politics die, +5R/turn in funding from Connections, reroll 1 failed politics roll per turn]

[X] Aretas Abdul [The Hero] - You were the greatest (living) hero of the Third Great War, and your interest in science fiction and your connections have managed to net you a spot at the top of the short list for Director. You may not know quite what you're doing, but your friends believe in you.
