Hello, fellow Tokyo Mew Mew fan! Yeah, The Alien was inspired by Kish/Quiche (though I will definitely be putting my own spin on things). What can I say? That little jerk grew on me. No wonder they brought him back for the 2020 sequel oneshot.
Glad you like where this is going! Classic mahou shoujo shows can have some really memorable bad guys. And bad girls, I suppose, though modern mahou shoujo does more with that. Homura is iconic. But this quest is drawing more inspiration from 90s and early 2000s magical girl stuff. There's a number of Madoka-inspired quests here, I think we have room for one with Tokyo Mew Mew vibes.
