New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Hm, so Destasia came up with a cunning make-those-Fifth-Sea-ratfuckers-miserable trap plan, which sounds like it may become entirely unnecessary because of a cunning and significantly more badass plan to punch the Trials in their stupid face.

Sounds great... But if I were in Manuel's shoes, I'd really, really, really try to make an exception to Destasia's "only suggest shit once" idea for this case.

"That's a brilliant idea. Write that one down in case we can't do this again."

It does smell a lot like the classic self-fulfilling prophecy gigs where the villain, in trying to head off the prophecy, reinforce their own doom by making enemies who aren't yet. Since Heaven is putting a fat finger on their luck.

Not that we have the resources to spend on them anyway, since we NEED those gardens if we want to do anything but fold when our trade routes go pop.

Now if it was trying to poach some...

then what do you recommend for Huo Siren?

I was thinking of bravely helping the clan to gain experience in things other than fighting beasts, although I was also thinking of going to a secret realm (something to do with the body, maybe?).

what do you think?

About what I expected then.
I should note that no one IC actually knows what 9P does, as no one has broken through yet. Just a brief heads up. OOC is a different matter, naturally.

If you'd like a less vague description on the differences between the stages, check out the Discord. It's in the pins in good-seed-discussion.

(Reason I'm not porting it over in full is because I'd like to keep things like that a surprise for the thread when the time comes. It's more enjoyable that way, so this way you have to make an active choice to find out early. Same thing applies to the later stages in SP.)

There are no Favored who like us.
there is, at least one.... but im not searching the secret realm fates from tha last 3 turns to find him now.
Here it is:
Lipp Galanis
Fate: Lipp entered the Secret Realm, and for some time found himself wandering. Unlike those with great Fates, Lipp simply managed to sneak along behind an absurdly powerful Strength Purity disciple - one who's fists rivalled the strength of Foundation Establishment cultivators. The first of the Favored that the Clan would meet, this man strode through all challenges with ease. Lipp managed to follow behind, taking cast-offs as he went. Liu Tenchang was named the Favored Fist of the Heavens, and he struck a crab beast with Foundation strength to death, seizing results from its trials and leaving behind its pincer. Lipp seized upon it, forging a Pincer-Blade (+1 Impact), a useful sword specialized in grasping and shattering the blades of others.

Tenchang went into the lair of a fire-breathing lizard, and slew it with six strikes. As he left, Lipp found he had left in the lizard's corpse it's single eye. The Fire-Eye (+1 Impact) could be used to store Fire Qi, and let it out in one great burst.

Tenchang strode into a temple full of traps, disabling them all and taking the pill on the altar there - the Dantian-Satiating Firebelly Gutblast Pill . Behind it sat an old forgotten piece of jade Lipp snatched up, the Analysis Jade (+1 Impact). Imbued with the spirit of an ancient tactician, it could evaluate his past fights and give training advice, as well as advice in battle - though it was limited by its knowledge at the time it died.

Tenchang was then caught and sickened by the Pill, and Lipp thought to leave him. Instead, the Favored Fist called him over, and spoke to him. Tenchang had been saved by the sacrifice of two Golden Devil cultivators in the Plains when he was but a mortal boy, and had ever since sought to repay the friendship he had been given. He had known about Lipp stalking him all along, and had no objections to Lipp taking what he could from Tenchang's battles. He gifted Lipp with a symbol of his gratitude, the Empowering Punch Shell (+1 Impact), a seashell he had been given that could store up energy within it and allow the cultivator to unleash a single devastating punch at times.

Soon after, the Realm closed, and Lipp left, somewhat richer and more powerful.
Liu Tenchang was saved by the sacrifice of two Golden Devils when he was a mortal, and ever since then, he sought to repay that friendship he was given. Pretty amazing stuff, considering that Tenchang is the Wei Princess's personal disciple and the strongest of the Favored besides.

(True Foundation level Impact in QC requires 30+ Impact in Qi Condensation while being at the 9th HS, which goes to show how big of a deal the guy is. Remember, Favored treasures normally only give four to five small realms to their bearer. This is the type of guy that would have been utterly insane even without the Heavens sending down treasures.)

In light of the adjusted purchases we have on hand, I've adjusted to remove the Magic Oak purchase.

Which sucks, but I'm hoping that means we can make enough money hand over fist from enemy Nascents being on the line to make up for the loss. Worst case scenario, we spend next turn with Klesithenes, Casia, and a Clan Focus entirely devoted towards winning over the Magic Oaks along with whatever we need to pay to make that happen

[X] Plan of the Century
-[X] Clan Focus - Preparation to Invade The Yuan Clan
--[X] "There is a critical assumption taken for granted by all the powers of the Region: That every century, for a scant handful of years, the Imperial Optimatoi are helpless to act beyond our own borders; struggling for our lives against foreign invaders seeking to reduce our strength. Let us play into that assumption, and enact two great assemblages of our offensive legions in the West near the pass into Yuan lands begins. In the East at the Underground Palace. Once the Erinyes Array is operational, we shall prepare for a great mustering into Yuan Clans in time to intercept the planned invasion there."
-[X] Kleisthenes - Preparation to Repel the Demonic Path's Invasion of the Yuan Clan
--[X] "Kleisthenes shall have to perform her greatest feat of diplomacy yet: Negotiating with the weakened Yuan Patriarch, and convincing him of the incoming invasion by the Demonic Path. She has free reign to use available resources to secure his cooperation, specifically the deployment of the Light Qi-Beast and the Beast Tide trap. The Yuan Patriarch is a wounded gazelle left out for the tiger, and we shall ensure that at the very very least we shall not lose out to base scavengers and fallen horse-slaves."
-[X] Manuel - Assassination of Sorrowful Blacksmith Grandmaster Weeping Anvil
--[X] "My old rival has prepared a cunning move to coordinate with the Noble Devil Alliance. The Abyssal Invasion shall strike the pass, putting the Righteous Path's supply of Spirit Stones at risk, and then draw out Weeping Anvil and his defenses to be slaughtered and fed to one of the Blood Path Nascents present. Giving Bloodhammer access to whatever resources or secrets Weeping Anvil may carry with him to such a confrontation. That can not be allowed. If Weeping Anvil's fate is to perish, then let his death go towards something constructive instead."

-[X] The Secret Gardens (Major Purchase - 3 Purchases)
--[X] "With the acknowledgement that the Colossus Footsteps Path is likely to be lost in the face of the Blood Defiance Pacts lack of initiative, we face a risk of being cut off from the spirit herbs and other resources which we need to fuel the prodigious growth of our own Juniors. The Righteous Path show a cooling to our overtures, and thus we may yet experience pressure at the behest of their heaven-anointed Juniors to choke us of those supplies even past the immediate crisis. We must prepare for that moment once again, where we face the world alone."
-[X] Enhance the Beast Tide Trap (Major Purchase - 2 Purchases)
--[X] "The necessity of this is self-explanatory. We lack the power single handedly repel multiple Nascent Souls acting in concert on the open battlefield. Thus, we shall drive the battlefield itself into chaos, crush the Ma Clans ability to invade and hold territory, and then pray that it proves enough to make the difference."

Time to take the plunge and hope for the best, gents

Edit: For those concerned about Manuel's chances during the Trials, and of successfully ganking Weeping Anvil, I've left the four Shadow Key Points in reserve.

With the expectation that Klesithenes can negotiate working together with the Yuan Patriarch as well as the presence of sufficient Legions and powerful enough Core Formation Seeds, then the Panoply ceases to be immediately relevant

Instead. We can shore up Manuel himself so that he can gank Weeping Anvil and attack Bhrigu in the best possible condition. We can pick more up next turn, once we have Casia in tow as well.

I'm super confident that the shadow key points will give Manuel an advantage in setting up the Weeping anvil hit. If the stuff with the council meeting is any indication, it's possible that he could straight up seal the space they use and Manuel can claim that when Manuel went to recruit Weeping Anvils aid it descended into violence. The only clues available would be Manuel's own words, and the context clues of the Optimatoi apparently assembling a coalition to try and repulse the Demonic Path invasion of the passes this turn with the Yuan.

It wont be enough to dispel suspicion, not by a long shot, but itd instead provide ample cover to avoid censure for our attempting to take advantage of the situation this turn. Especially if we should succeed.

The leverage we'll have if we definitively come out on top in Yuan will be absurd tbh. Very appealing to ourselves in particular. Plus, we have a relatively easy job of things in Yuan.

This is do or die for the Ma Clan. So long as we inflict disproportionate causalities they cant really afford to run, not without their Nascent Soul abandoning the battle entirely. And even then, he still would have to deal with the NKS afterwards.

[X] Plan of the Century

I hope some of our good seed core elders have the dao (and the time) to help with the tree clan.

Because I fear we will get a such punch from them at some point. Or they trade their immense amount of knowledge with someone else. Like noble knowledge.
