Deadly Snark
Tryhard As Fuck
Indeed, every move Burs has ever taken in this quest has been to set himself up as a Kingmaker.Burs, I suspect, is loyal to Burs. To align with the originators was to wage war against multiple other standards and gain little from it. To Obliterate was to become Lord of the West.
Don't make ideological calls based on a man securing himself phenomenal political and military power.
[X] Direct our attention to expanding the new order, and keeping pious those who purport to defend freedom. [Improved relations with Makabam, Kedesh, the Sailors Karaban, and Ma'on. Preferred option of Gunpowder Eucharist and Ravs of Labour].
A Power player that nobody really trusts, but cannot afford to turn away. When he supported the Conformers, before sensing the winds and turning against Origination, and gaining himself an army in the process. When he missed out on the battle of Nachivan, but was still in position with his army to gain himself power and fame just by moving his army around. Because neither the Patriarch nor the Originators could afford to ignore him if he made signals about turning to their side.
Trusting Burs would be a fatal mistake, and worse he's the sort of man to maneuver himself into a position where one might not have any choice in the matter. Even now, he's the Slayer of Origination and the Savior of the Gushanaran witches, after he left them to die no less. His army of Young Bucks has feasted on fame, glory, and wealth with him. Even more than the White-Gold and the Pale-Horse, Steedeater is a dangerous army. Because much like Caesar's Veteran Gaulic Legions, they have no loyalty but to Burs.
