Okampan Crew – the crew are bright, perky, cheerful, and incredibly psychically powerful. Individually, they're all better than Vulcans, and as a gestalt? Who knows!

[X] Well. We're being summoned to court. The last court run by the Q was...okay, it was a mess, but at least Q isn't involved.
-[X] Tuvok
-[X] Lt. Ducane (who?)
-[X] Recorder of Borg (Whaaaaaaa?)
-[X] Kortar (HOW EVEN?)

Look, we just need to get Ducane to brief us on up/down age/yet terminology, and then this will be/always has been/is currently making sense.

A....are we the consensus?
Q are like Deadpool, the fourth wall is a polite suggestion

I don't think we'll be able to technobabble a way out of the trial, so might as well go willingly to the dame thing. I think Tuvok and T'are are the best people to bring.

I vote we move for a mistrial if Q doesn't start using Continuum Standard Temporal Reference within the next 5 or so minutes up. All her is/was/wills are a blatant attempt to confuse the witness.:V

🤦 I was probably remembering that…

This is delightfully braintwisty! Kinda tempted to bring no one along just to make their statement inaccurate…
That's just so crazy, it might work

-[X] No one

To be fair, you can try to technobabble your way around it, but like...the rulebook's rules on Q are "whatever the GM says happens happens"
[X] You need a lawyer. There is, unfortunately, only one being the Federation is aware of who might qualify: Q. Aftempt to summon and then negotiate legal representation from the most notorious entity in Starfleet history.

Fight fire with QM appealing wackiness fire.

You know, I like this.

[ ] This is preposterous. The Q are tricksters, not legal experts, and there's no proof of anything she's said. We'll see if we can maybe...devise some kind of jamming technology that could at least stop Q interference? Or maybe slow it down?
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

If things go maimally good, I wonder if this way we can get a couple of concessions in the settlement that can be used to save people's lives when things go tits up.

Prbly not tho.

[X] When he fails to properly defend us, pull a Sisko and bop him one. At least it will make you feel better
I just like Q getting hit in the face ok? He's a jerk

This might be the worst idea I've ever voted for. I'm excited to be a part of this, we're making Quest History here!

What the heck did Janeway's sister do to get involved with this? Or what will she do?

I'm gonna vote for it. Worst case the write-in is declined and I'll have to resubmit with something else, best case? I want to see the fireworks from this.

At the very least as an esteemed cosmic adjudicator themselves, Q could write a very nice amicus curiae brief about how its not humanity's fault that they're a bunch of primitive monkeys too stupid to be consciously aware of anything but the most basic temporal changes and mirrored decision trees. :V

Not Canon Janeway's style but Gunslinger Quest Janeway might try this. Plus he generally explains what's going on once you read through the insults.

Fallback plan if Q doesn't find the idea of being our lawyer amusing.

The Prophets are suing... oh. Oh!

They're trying to keep the Dominion War on rails and make is so the Sisko can do all his stuff and join them at the end of that aren't they?

What is it that Phoebe is doing then? Is she pushing for a rescue team to be sent through the wormhole to try and find Voyager? Or maybe in the future she Katheryn managed to get word to her and she convinced Starfleet to send ships through the wormhole to meet up with Voyager partway through the Gamma Quadrant and in so doing threw the DS9 off rails.

I wonder if she'll have to share Katheryn's council or if she'd be allowed to get her own. Picard is the obvious choice given this is a Q court but then the plaintiffs are the Prophets so maybe Sisko would be better. He does know how to work a courtroom and has had experience arguing with the Prophets.

Good write-in :)
