Digging for Nations in the Desert (No SV, You are a Micronation in the End of the World)

Kissenger was the first to speak. "You are insane!"

"Not insane Ambassador Kissenger, merely driven. I and my people will never feel safe if all the nations of the world consider me a threat, and for that, I do not care. But if they decide to round up and otherwise invade my nation, that I am protecting." You fingered the detonator. "This is a detonator to signal a countdown to trigger the nuclear weapons of Russia and China. We don't know if it is all of them, but enough."

You took a breath. "And they will destroy the world in retaliation."

This is what the Boss would have wanted, after all. No more Nukes! Let us return to an age of soldiers!
Maybe not quite. I mean, she intends to detonate them in their silos if the Soviets and Chinese don't comply. And likely would mean the end of the world via china and Russia launching whatever we missed, fully activating MAD...
US negaquest is probably freaking out at being seconds from midnight because the crazy lady hijacked who knows how much of the arsenal of two nuclear nations...:D

Li Mei, Makes a Huge Statement:
(Henry Kissenger POV)
You looked at the ambassadors of the great powers of the world, all the nuclear superpowers, the Americans, the British, the Soviets, and of course, the Chinese. All here at the behest of

India is notably absent. Presumably because she would rather not rile up the Packistani.

She likely called in some favors to get the people of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia to get a nice little negotiating location by the Falls. They certainly seem to like her.

"I do not believe that this issue, she is a violent war criminal, and a criminal to all our laws." The Chinese ambassador, Hung Peng was not starting things off well. Sure the Soviet Ambassador, Gregory had been hostile, but he was trying to end this mess peacefully. Mostly because, unlike his counterparts in Russia, he was… well he wished that the world would not be destroyed.

"Well your country does not dictate international law, and according to the rest of the world, all my actions were considered legal." Li Mei smiled like the other's treaded glances. "I have called you all here for a simple reason. To stop you, idiots, from invading me, and using my nation as a springboard for… well killing me and my comrades."

You spoke. "There are few who… disagree with that statement. You are inserting yourself into hot zones all over the world, with little regard for the consequences of your actions."

Li Mei responded, seemingly not impressed. "My job isn't to moralize on the ethics of my mercenaries, and their actions, merely to make sure they have a safe place to live, and to make sure they get paid."

There was silence. "In twenty-four hours, there will be an invasion of the Triangle, you have become a threat to the world!" Peng stated.

So that was how it was going to go. "Very well then." Li Mei stated.

Li Mei then pulled out a radio, presumably to show something to try and make the chinese reconsider. "Start the timer."

"On the way boss!" The voice replied.

She then put down a new digital clock, that was counting down.

"What the hell." You shouted as she calmly pulled out your pistol. What is she trying to do!?!?

"Everyone of you shut up and listen." She then smiled as your people pulled out a Tv.

She turned it on and it showed a Chinese broadcast from yesterday.

"It appears that, despite forces of the Peoples Liberation Army fighting hard, they could not stop the political prisoners from escaping from the mountians! The fighting, which had lasted for two weeks, had sprawled into Shanghai. The twenty mercenaries freed hundreds of political prisoners and traitors to the revolution, and-"

She turned the channel to a Russian broadcast. She then turned to the subtitles. What is she...

One phrase. "All nukes nonoperational." What?

She then turned off the TV. "i want, full recognition from all your nations, and a guarantee that we will not be invaded."

"What you are asking is madness," Peng stated.

"Correct, but consider this." Li Mei then revealed a detonator.

You only looked to the Superpowers ambassadors that were standing before you. "Gentlemen, do you believe in a world without nukes?"

You then smiled. "Because I will say this, if you do not comply with my demands and reasonable offers, I will make sure there will be no nuclear weapons anywhere. Except exploded in your silos?"

You was the first to speak. "You are insane!" Trying to pull MAD on them with THEIR OWN NUKES!?!?!?!?!?

"Not insane Ambassador Kissenger, merely driven. I and my people will never feel safe if all the nations of the world consider me a threat, and for that, I do not care. But if they decide to round up and otherwise invade my nation, that I am protecting." She fingered the button that threatened to doom the world. "This is a detonator to signal a countdown to trigger the nuclear weapons of Russia and China. We don't know if it is all of them, but enough."

She took a breath. "And they will destroy the world in retaliation."

Li Mei then handled the detonator switch.
...Of all the ways for things to escalate to seconds before midnight, who guessed it would be a micronation threatening two first world powers with their own nukes?
I didn't. Mongoose, could you PLEASE, give us an action to revise our security? I mean, she outmaneuvered the KGB to rig their own missiles to blow up at her command! I suspect that she could easily do the same to us.
So...
Would she have still done this if we hadn't backed her?
Mongoose said:

Yes, she'd have more reason to leverage her spec ops if you hadn't chosen to support her.
Though this was also partly some ridiculous crits on her side.
So, Guangchou continuing to show the only reason they aren't a big player is because they chose not to?
I mean, ever since the dice decided that a certain Guangchou native merc would bloody china and survive, said mercenary quickly proceeded to settle above a motherlode of Oil and continue that streak of Success.

So, who's up for a fallout quest sequel of this?

[X]Press it: We'll meet again.

I came into this quest originally expecting to be a villain protagonist, so I will not turn down the opportunity now. Let's embrace our destiny as Queen of the Ashes. Also how the hell did we get control over Russia's and China's nukes?

All I shall say is this.

The World has a threat it can unite against.

Even if said threat really is looking after her comrades.

Thinking about it, it actually makes sense. We gathered pretty much every nuclear nation, minus India to witness us threaten two of the big three with their own nuclear silos. Almost certainly would be taken as a not so subtle threat of doing the same to the other nations. China might actually hope we just walk out and leave them with the rest of the nuclear powers, reeling from our little stunt...

Quick more people vote to blow it up. We just barely avoided the apocalypse in the quest this was based on, so now I want to see the bad ending! Or rather the nuclear one! Plus with Magoose's rolls I doubt they'd be able to actually defeat us.
