This sounds like the beginning of an upcoming "Dun dun DUN!" moment for us. Like when we trace our way back past the burning ruins of Harmony 10 years down the line, it will lead us to this conversation that we missed because Mei Daiyu and Zhuan Kun were impatient to head on to Mockingjay.

Mei Daiyu doesn't even want to be in the city and Zhuan Kun has a strict regimen, thinks one needs to hunt for their food and is not really interested in the taste. I do not think inviting them to a restaurant is likely to go well.

As hilarious as that would be, sadly no. Shim was just telling Wu the polite equivalent of, "Hey, you moron, there's a bright red demon man here offering us money for our sticks. Just shut up and nod!"

[x] The archives of Mockingjay fill an entire building set near the very center of the city. You never know what you will find as you browse through the dusty old scrolls, but one thing is for certain: you will find something you've yet to discover.

At first I thought that we might at very least get some Smoke anam for it and thus only needing one round of cycling from Cloud's Breath to complete An Elegant Plume.

Then I checked what happened when Ming Hui cooked for Zhi

Food prepared by Immortal Chefs is no simple meal. Consuming such food can grant anam, much like a pill, but it also gives additional boons that cannot be replicated any other way. The Phantom Venison, for example, has given Kong Zhi one temporary physical stress box for one week (This box is filled first if Kong Zhi takes physical stress. When it is filled, it is expended and does not return. If one week passes without it being filled, it expends itself.)

This is just one possible benefit granted by Immortal Cuisine. Other such benefits can include skill boosts, other stress boxes, or even temporary traits. These boons are all temporary- at least, they are unless Kong Zhi consumes Immortal Cuisine on a regular basis, or the meal is particularly spectacular. If so, the power of the food can reforge his body, making some of these enhancements permanent.

Try eating Immortal Cuisine whenever you get the chance! Who knows what benefits it can bring?

and yeah permanent buff is up for grabs. If we're lucky enough that there's smoke anam in the meal we might very well get An Elegant Plume integrated.
