Holy shit, what a freaking time to be married. Not a criticism, just, holy shit.
Should have definitely said not yet. We could have waited till after the bloody war. Napoleon should have proposed to us in the heat of battle. That cowardHoly shit, what a freaking time to be married. Not a criticism, just, holy shit.
But then there would be the possibility of us dying... and then the quest might end.Should have definitely said not yet. We could have waited till after the bloody war. Napoleon should have proposed to us in the heat of battle. That coward
Well, we might as well get some men married to their sweethearts in Paris...I mean, starting off a war with a marriage at the top is a time honored tradition, great for morale at all levels. Shows real unity ya know.
The Corps System that we developed with De Lisle and Birther has not spread into the Army yet, as many of it's architects are still in combat roles, and we are still at war, unable to do a proper reorginization.Thinking about it, I wonder if we could grab some currently unassigned troops and combine them with our reserve troops to form IV Corps (or whatever number it's at now, if the corps system has spread) to bring up our number of independent units? Also wondering if we should reorganize the Bridge Guards into a reinforced division (they're officially an understrength corps with two infantry and one cavalry division with two battalions of riflemen) or bring up their numbers to proper corps strength. Though with the declaration of the Empire of the French, perhaps they can by Division/Corps Mayence of the Imperial Guard? I'm sure Napoleon's 15k Consular Guard has become the core of the Imperial Guard by now.
...I was so convinced that they were going to off themselves.Cyber said the roll is non canon, and is going to be doing the rolls until he thinks I can control myself for not doing meme rolls.
Go for Prussia too, and so the French can finally reclaim the HRE back from the Germans and reunite the HRE under French arms as Charlemagne would have wanted.Oh God a France that controls the Netherlands, Italy and possibly Spain? That would be a very scary Empire.
Well Cyber said no memes, so no memes.
We actually are coming up with several scenarios for this situation... including an empire in New Spain, now that there is basically no defense in Spain proper to defend it due to all the rebellions. Also, there's still Laguna Guatavita, the lake where it all began. I think there's something like a couple hundred thousand dollars [in today's money] down at the bottom of the lake that was never properly excavated in our timeline...enterprising young Conquistador finally managed it in this timeline?
A New Spain that is united and an Agricultural super power? There's also the potential they learn the secret to terra preta, and that allows them to become the agricultural powerhouse of the world.
Now we have a True Holy Roman Empire!Go for Prussia too, and so the French can finally reclaim the HRE back from the Germans and reunite the HRE under French arms as Charlemagne would have wanted.

At least we were shot instead of exploded. So, the Rhine frontier holds, but the Netherlands front has all but collapsed. This seems familiar.Whyever could that be, I wonder? /S
Well, we're already wounded this time, let's try not to get hurt a fourth time, like at Amiens.
Can we even afford to lead with such a big malus? It seems like we'd just be a handicap on the army as opposed to just ourselves. So, the Rhine frontier holds, but the Netherlands front has all but collapsed. This seems familiar.Whyever could that be, I wonder? /S
Well, we're already wounded this time, let's try not to get hurt a fourth time, like at Amiens.

"We, the Barbarians of old, have proven ourselves to be the true successors to the Western Roman Empire! Not the Italians, not the Iberians, not our German cousins and definitely not the British; where they have all failed we alone have stayed strong in the face of adversity, we alone have preserved. No longer are we the desperate tribes of a fallen Rome, but a unified people of Rome Ascendant!"
