[X] Ready? Action! Tori wants to see you in action, and… and that's a fucking stupid idea. But. Well. You are getting a little too tense, and you need to vent a little. You don't even need to look for a fight – you can just walk around in the less guarded area with Tori in tow, and somebody will come, eventually – or get into the alleys, and look for Rats. Either or. [A Fixer Experience. Roll 3d100 for Random Encounters. Enemies limited to at most Low Urban Myth. Higher is Better.]

This is a terrible idea, but marginally less terrible than spending money when we can't easily afford it right now(I think).

Plus I think showing her a bit of our world will give her more perspective on her own. Probably for the better, even if her world is also very cutthroat, as is standard for the city.

Wow, Lily was on fire this update. That was a lot of tricky checks she made.

Interesting though that the school isn't just teaching, it's straight up brainwashing apparently.

EDIT: Interestingly, it looks like Repression can also be used On yourself to make you face truths you've tried to bury. Apparently Lily badly broke someone's trust in her somewhere back in her mysterious backstory and even admitting it was a thing that existed required a Very Hard Repression Check. Yeesh.

[X] Kino Experience. Since there's no school tomorrow, Tori wants to go to the Cinema. From what she said, it's like watching a movie, but different. Better. It's an experience. You don't get it. H Corporation shit that only the rich can afford – only a handful of them exist in the Backstreets, and there's apparently way more inside the Nest. Not that Tori even gone there. Still, it's a bit costly, and even her loaded wallet can't afford two tickets – you gotta chip in a bit. [A Kino Experience. ???. Costs 100,000 Ahn.]

[X] A Walk in The Park. What better way to spend your day other than shopping? Shopping for food, there is! Well, you can also shop for something else, but you know where the real good stuff is. Anyway, point is, it's not everytime you can just go into the rich neighborhood of the Backstreets, and here you can expand your palate (as the rich would say it). Anyway, there's a strip of shops nearby here. It's pretty safe on the account of the Zwei. Tori's willing to pay some, but you gotta chip in a little still. [A Culinary (And Rich) Experience. Costs 50,000 Ahn. Upon Unlock, Cooking Skill receives a Bonus 150XP. Window Shops.]

As long as it doesn't mess up our money situation, I think I'm leaning A Walk in the Park. Seems like the best mix of not dangerous, not boring, not as expensive, and cooking! I think we'd be okay moneywise but I'll leave that calculation up to someone better at long term planning than I. If it's not, then I'd default to staying home. We're already really pushing our luck with letting her cut class but taking her out to watch us pick fights? There's literally no excuse for that when our job is to bodyguard her, there's bending the job description and then there's breaking it.

That school thing… wow.
I'm thinking we try and get info on the school, bug our contacts that are familiar with how a normal school operates.
That atmosphere isn't natural. For all we know, it could be a Distortion. Of course, it could also be some chemicals they put in the air, like how L corp uses similar chemicals to help deal with mental trauma.

Either way, this problem isn't going to go away after the job.

We have 668K, we need 1.3M by the end of Week 4, we have another 650K on the way in.

We can afford to splurge at least a little bit as long as we take at least one job in Week 4.

Free experience without poisoning ourselves. Well, not free, but the cost isn't potentially lethal.

I like this or staying inside. Lily has to be a Fixer of Culture, as well.

[x] Just Chill. Or… you could just stay inside. It's boring? Well, fuck her. Just stay inside. Maybe watch more shitty movies. Maybe read books (eugh). You don't know. Tori'll find something to do. [A Cultural Experience. Get Culturized with the Rich Youth.]

While this thread is active , can anyone recommend LoR? I kinda got spoiled for most of the story beats of it and LCorp, but nonetheless, it seems good. Gameplay seems tight, but I've heard of a big difficulty spike and semi-necessity of grinding.

Two very good updates! Some interesting insight into Kai and Lilly is becoming more like Mao by the day. On a comedic sidenote, is it just me or was Tori starting to mimic Lilly's diction a little after we watched that movie with her? Saying stuff like 'They got to' and 'It ain't all bad'. If this keeps up, she'll be cursing like a sailor by the time her parents get back! Hahahaha.

As for what we should do tomorrow? This is a terrible decision, but I think I'd like to see us go looking for a fight. Might as well fulfill the role of bad influence we've been to Tori to the fullest. Besides, this will give Tori a bit better insight into what being a Fixer is actually like. And even if Lilly enjoys herself, I don't think Tori will have nearly as much fun as she thinks she's gonna.

I can rec it. The game itself is very solid all around in terms of gameplay and story, even if you're spoiled on it. The difficulty increases a fair bit but its not really spikes so much as a gradient curve that you get used to as you go along. The grinding has slowly been getting reduced, with a recent update making it so you always get minimum 1 copy of all books you need to advance to the next level in a line. There are also mods you can install pretty easily to avoid the need to grind if that's what you're interested in.

I think it's the other way around Lily put her trust/hope in someone else like how Tori has Hope Lily is on her side right now and apparently Lily's Hope was broken or betrayed and she's repressing the shit out of that moment.

Not sure if Repressing is good or bad since on one hand Repressing shit isn't the healthiest of attitudes but on the other hand maybe it's the best option available to Lily since if she didn't repress her trauma she would be a wreck unable to do anything and so Repression buys her time to grow to be able to better cope with her Trauma. That feels very Lob Corp and Library of Ruina where it doesn't matter if you're coping in an unhealthy way if you can keep moving forward and eventually deal with it better

I want this to lead to Lily being forced into another clothes montage and showing her grumbly embarrassed side when Tori calls her pretty.

Also vaguely hoping that one of the food places in the shopping arcade is Sun's bakery. Always fun to have secondary characters establish connections with each other.
