[X]Plan Just let Brian do it
-[X]Pay War Reparations (Light): The King will pay, from his state coffers a sum of money to the French State. (+5 The Payments that the king will need to pay are negligible to his economy.)
-[X]Permanent Naval Docking Rights: The French Navy needs to have bases to maintain supply with your army and any future operations. (+10. The Navy will have a base in Syracuse, and the city will be under French control, and administration)
-[X]Send Ferdinand to Paris: The King will be an honored guest in Paris for the foreseeable future. (+15 The King gets sent to Paris… where he thanks God and all the angels that Brian is in charge instead of Robespierre)
-[X] Garrisons: You will be setting up Garrisons to Secure French interests on the Island will be normally under French control (+5 The island will be under French Occupation)

I really do not want to remove him from his throne arbitrarily without knowing the situation in Europe and how trigger-happy are the other powers right now.

While this is a good safe plan (likely to make the low DC of 20) it has chances to lose stability of the objective in concessions from Paris. Either by Ferdinand swanning back to make things difficult or upheaval in the power vacuum created in the king's absence.

Edit: We also have to come up with a new flag for this republic of Sicily, may I suggest the symbol on this flag on a tricolor background.
Kinky! (not a widely recognised symbol for...BDSM?)

Ramble asks little more DC and consolidates the gains. France is still an empire builder if our mission for India makes any sense at all. Even if Egypt fails, we have this success to hold for France and the chances of Egypt improve the more our supply lines are secure.

[X] Stick to What We Came Here For

[X] Plan: Rob the Bastards Blind
-[X]Break the Thrones: There will be no more kingdoms in southern Italy. Only states that will become sister Republics in due time. (+50. The Powers of Europes will be outraged at such a thing. The Pope himself might have a word with you.)
-[X]Pay War Reparations (Heavy): The King will pay, from his state coffers a sum of money to the French State. (+15 The Payments that the king will need to pay are drastic to his economy and many would consider abusive.)
-[X]Permanent Naval Docking Rights: The French Navy needs to have bases to maintain supply with your army and any future operations. (+10. The Navy will have a base in Syracuse, and the city will be under French control, and administration)
-[X]Garrisons: You will be setting up Garrisons to Secure French interests on the Island will be normally under French control (+5 The island will be under French Occupation)

Fuck it, we might as well act the way the French actually did in Italy, which means brutal exploitation for every poor fool that crosses our path.

I mean, Napoleon did it, why can't we?

Besides, we've been kicking the shit out of people, and we're proving to not be a total bastard while doing it. I think that warrants some kind of bonus payment for all our hard work?
Question, where are the commissioners in this? IOTL, the Directory replaced the Representatives on Mission with commissioners who had far fewer powers, which was good in the sense that they couldn't interfere with military decisions, but really bad in the sense that they couldn't help with the logistical problems that plagued the army, which were shifted on to war contractors who just scammed the holy hell out of the French.

Still, they had the job of observing the army and making sure orders were followed.

Thanks to Governmental regime changes (and allies within the government that wish to help us), Our commissars are not among the ranks, for two reasons.

1. We left before they could arrive, meaning they are coming in the turn itself to greet us.

2. Some of them are being replaced with people who will actually represent the French Government and make sure generals aren't fucking around and ruining French Foreign policy.

And I don't think people in Paris are "Too" Worried about us galavanting off to paths unknown without at least giving them a heads up. :V

*Looks at some of the Actions Cyber Came up with*

Too soon to be tempting fate? :V

Seems like a complicated explanation, something simpler could've been that, because the government is being led by two generals, one of whom historically did everything in his power to undermine the commissioner put in the army he was leading, they just did away with the position all together.

[X] Plan: Long Live the Republic!

These two are what we need. I would prefer to add some light reparation so we can pay for things from Sicily using this, but I would also prefer to avoid garrisons, as I think it has a chance of turning the new Sicilian republic against France (and we don't know who Paris is going to send) and I don't want to split the vote.

Or I'm just trying to add, possibly unnecessary Drama to the plot that may not even need any, and am making things up as I go just to hide my true plans. :V

It's @Cyberphilosipher you need to worry about when he's dropping hints and stuff like that. He's the one who's been plotting the shit out of potential ahistorical adventures to the far east and the snows of the North for the last few weeks.
