New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Another vote to see what people are interested in when it comes to maps and lore. I intend to get to everything in the very, very long-term, but for now, just vote what you're interested. I intend to do two infoposts, one for a minor power and one for a major one this turn.

Minor Powers:

[ ] The Peng Kingdom

[ ] The Shen Kingdom

[ ] Twelve City Alliance

[ ] Spirit Oasis

[ ] Sixty Kingdoms Alliance

Major Powers

[ ] Gao Clan

[ ] Magic Oak Sect

[ ] Bear Enslavement Sect

[ ] Qiguai Clan

[ ] Noble Knowledge Sect

[X] The Shen Kingdom
[X] Noble Knowledge Sect

NKS is about a hundred times more interesting to me than demonic altar; it's criminal how little we've seen of them.

[X] Spirit Oasis
[X] Noble Knowledge Sect

I'm ambivalent on the first pick, but for Noble Knowledge, I'm pretty interested because they go deep into esoteric shit in their pursuit of knowledge.

They have things like Fate-bending curses, poisons that are much stronger than the average, and probably much more that wasn't fully captured by the brief blurb we currently have of them.

[X] Twelve City Alliance
[X] Magic Oak Sect

I'd like to learn about the Magic Oak because they're quite unique in how they are technically Blood Path cultivators but only in a limited fashion.

Also the Twelve City Alliance since they border both Jingshen and the mountain region powers.

Sooo, quick question.

Are all major factions humans? For exemple, are the demon bees (or some of them) actual bees that cultivated and attained humanoid forms or are they just people riding bees? Is Lady Yao (or any of the FDG) an actual Flood Dragon using a human form?

Also, there are non human peoples in the setting : goatmen, pigmen, etc. Are any of the main powers composed of non-human humanoids?

Not in this region. Humanity dominates the land for the most part with the exception of the occasionally incredibly powerful Spirit Beast here and there, or vengeful ghosts, or so on and so forth.

This is true almost everywhere.

[X] Sixty Kingdoms Alliance
I'd like to conquer them at some point.

[X] Spirit Oasis
It'sa fortified Jingshen territory that gives them goodwill and wealth from hosting Righteous Path wounded. I want to cut Jingshen off from them.

[X] Magic Oak Sect
They have two Nascents, are not at war, and border us and Jingshen. They could be players in the Desertbowl, their support would easily tip the balance one way or another.

[X] Noble Knowledge Sect
I bet the initial blurb was mostly Righteous Path propaganda, just like ours was.

[X] Spirit Oasis
[X] Qiguai Clan

i would have been more interested in some other choices, but the oasis is important for everyone, not just desert powers.
Sure, we could reach out to the oaks.... but i REALLY would like info about Qiguai and Yuan, as they hold SRs everyone can use. would help with omake padding as well.

Interesting! I was never sure when I read about the Bees, so while reading part of me kinda imagined them as humanoid-ish bees holding weapons. Or bees capable of using human form riding other bees to battle. :)

My head canon was a sect where both humans and bees cultivated alongside each other and often working as teams of riders and mounts with both feasting on humans, blood honey and all that Jazz.

So I gather that Spirit Beasts assuming a human form and having their own clans or villages is not a thing. Can Spirit Beasts even assume human form below Nascent Soul or above?

I'll admit I'm a bit sad that there are (were) no Flood Dragons in the FDG.

Still, I wonder if non humans are also victims of the Heavens' Tyranny, keeping the humans on top.

[X] Bear Enslavement Sect

Look, sometimes, believe it or not, I'm a simple man.

I see a bunch of fuckin' bear cavalry cultivators, I become interested and wish to subscribe to their newsletter.

There was a Turtle Spirit Beast that assumed human form back in Syntyche's Turn 9 Fate, pretty sure. And that beast was only Foundation-level.

EDIT: As for human dominance, I suspect this is tied to the fact that humans are intelligent even without cultivation, while beasts need to attain it by cultivating. Amount needed to reach it depends on beast in question, but the fact remains is that intelligence isn't their natural state.

My take on it is that humans dominate most of the world(politically, at least) because they strike a perfect balance of having no inherent limit to their cultivation(besides individual talent), having enough intelligence to understand how to cultivate, having a high base lifespan and being a species that operates in large groups. Many species have some of these qualities but only humans have all of them.

For example, dragons are better at cultivating than humans, and in their later stages are superior to human cultivators of the same stage due to being so much bigger than a human and thus having more qi, but unlike humans they're a solitary species after reaching Core Formation, and prior to Core Formation they're carp and have to live in freshwater.

The freshwater requirement causes me to think that there may be another factor.

Humans are relatively environmentally versatile- they can exist in a variety of biomes, and seem to have bodies compatible with many very different cultivation styles. The available paths for a mermaid or a self-aware rock-monster to cultivate may be more restrictive.
