- We procure with Mo's money ordinary crafting and art supplies in a variety of mediums - paints, jewelry, metalwork,woodwork, sculpture etc. Anything you could use with a Craft skill. And we challenge the remaining contestants to create a work of art - No charms involved. Fan Zhao has ensured all that remain are competent in charmcrafting. What he has not checked is that they have the creative spirit required. Eliminate minimum 6 contestants, although kick out more if more prove to be soulless hacks. And of course, the leftover crafting supplies can join our stockpiles - we're running low on mundane crafting stuff after all.

Is everyone else from our circle just sitting around and chatting? KZ has literally a dozen or more tasks to do, what do these people spend their time on?

To put forward a theory, it might have something to do with the Courts. Everyone else in our year and in fact entire Circle bar one has a large amount of peers who they no doubt semi-regularly to regularly interact with, so they're known by their peers if nothing else. But of course, we're a Caretaker, we don't get that.
 
Also, we live with the Jai's but they spent a lot of time either gossiping/being social (Shouxi) or attending fighting training and being supervised by elders (Fa). In addition the Pyramid etc; lends itself to communal living while we alienated ourselves from everyone via the Spire

When we got here we did neither of those things, (gossip, or attend sessions) so no one had a chance to chat to us really.
