The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

[X] You will seek the Lord's Regalia. An old, damaged mosaic that you uncovered depicts the Moloth leader wearing an elaborate crown and brandishing a scepter as long as your arm.

[X] You will seek information on the Moloth's 'Glorious Respite'. You have uncovered long and disjointed poems speaking of the beauty of this place, which was said to have been where powerful Moloth figures would retreat to when the burdens of daily life were too much.

Glorious Respite looking like a potential source of mental stress healing seems too useful to pass up.

[x] You will seek the resting place of their fallen Sixth Prince. You have found a soldier's account of the war on the Moloth, and the younger of their Royals was said to have waged the greatest battle in the conquest.

The Prince because tomb raiding is just a tradition in any role playing game and it needs to be upheld. The Regalia just sounds the most Royally to me and I'm not certain the Sixth Prince won't end up Steel/War/Death or something.

Oh, the lowest of lows and highest of highs.

Damn, these are all dope as fuck. It's even worse than the Seaswept Gallery, I want to see all of it. I really like the idea of developing a sideline into amateur archeology, tomb raid the Moloth and their lost treasures. I hope we get the opportunity to follow up on these some other time.

The Lord's Regalia is most likely to give us the Royalty we need, but it's also likely to have been bogarted into someone's loot sack. Plus, it'll be a lot easier to find buildings than individual items.

Here's why you should choose the research the church option
[] You will seek the Temple of the Deep Divine. The Moloth were said to congregate in one specific cavern and give praise to their underground deity with elaborate rituals.

1. Finding the Moloth place of worship well probably explain the loose plot line about the Moloth's strange calendar and their weird perception of time

2. Church's are know for using lots of incense. It could potentially be a smoke wonder.

3. This church is a place where all the Moloth gather as once to worship their god. That should be enough people and enough emotions to create a wonder of a rare aspect. don't think we have seen any aspect that can be tied to worship.

4. Siani told us about a Hell's wonder when we were forging our core. The only hint he gave us was that it was buried deep. The Moloth's place of worship is buried deep into the earth and known that the Moloth did terrible things in that place. Which would make it a perfect place for Hells anam to gather.

Subpoint to 4 i. Also the head temple is the perfect place for a Kukuni to form. A kukuni who's body is made from very rare material.

5. Churches while known for being places of worship also hold important relics, records, other important objects of cultural significance. If their temple is not a wonder, it probably contains materials that are either regular materials or treasures of rare anam types.

6. The temple will give us lot of worldbuilding details on the Moloth culture. Religion shapes both culture and country. Worldbuilding information that we can use for future Moloth delves.

Alright, @KinOfTheMountain's post is pretty darn convincing. I was planning to avoid voting, but...

I was already planning to vote this way, I swear.

To me, the most relevant part was the bit on the Moloth's strange relation with time, and how their holy days were fluid with the dates determined by their calendars because of it.

A Temple sounds like it'd be related to said holy days, so an insight into that might lead to Time shenanigans, which I'm all for.

EDIT: Here's the exact quote on the matter.
It's yet another tablet, this one smaller and circular. The scroll next to it proclaims it to be a 'Moloth' calendar, and that it was used by the elder race to determine the high holy days. The Moloth seemed to believe that holy days were fluid in nature and that they were different each month and each year. Their mountain god's festival, for example, could be held every ten years or twice a week, depending on the portents and the readings of this calendar.

  1. I mean... yes? But only in so much as any other culturally relevant location could get us more info. They had a weird cyclical view of things but that cold apply just as much to their laws or burial customs as to their religion.
  2. That's kind of a stretch man. Maybe if it was an active church, but a long dead church that may or may not have used incense?
  3. Again, yes, but that isn't unique to the Temple. The Judgment Stone is wear all the Moloth showed up for criminal Trials, the Relief was where the nobility and royals gathered, etc... And besides that, The Second shows that you can have a rare aspect wonder with no people at all.
  4. Uh... if you are right, why would we WANT to cycle Hell anam lol? We have enough problems with Time without adding demons to the mix. And Again, WTF would we go looking for a Kukuni?!! After getting our ass handed to us by the last one we tracked down, you want to find a bigger and gnarlier one?
  5. Again, yes, but that's not unique to a temple. A place of judgment and law is likely to have alot of knowledge too, and again, Graves and tombs have historically had TONS of important things inside them. Hell, most of our knowledge of Egypt comes from the things we've pulled out of their tombs.
  6. See 5,
Now... Mind you, I'm not opposed to the Temple but I feel like you are putting more importance on it for reasons that just as easily apply to the rest of these options, which is a little misleading.

All of these are sure to have a ton of worldbuilding and cool shit in them. It's less "which has the most potential" and more "what flavor appeals to you the most"

For me, I want to double down on the Royal Stuff, one because that's the whole point of the excursion, and two because ancient tombs are the shit! 😁

Sounds like the retirement home for royalty, less likely to find treasure but more likely to find royalty anam because of the amount of royal figures that would have passed through this place.

[x] You will seek the resting place of their fallen Sixth Prince. You have found a soldier's account of the war on the Moloth, and the younger of their Royals was said to have waged the greatest battle in the conquest.

Good old Tomb Raider action and might be a source of War anam again.

[] You will seek the Temple of the Deep Divine.
Probably find some history and ritualistic stuff here but more likely to find anam linked to their religion rather than Royalty.
[] You will seek the hall of someone known as the Justice-In-Stone.
Probably source of Justice/Law/Order anam.
[] You will seek the Lord's Regalia
Seems more likely to be a Royalty crafting material rather than a wonder.

...So who wants to bet this was the Giant Statue we saw when we were doing our sigil Task?

Anyways, Voting... And hot xdamn do I wish We could vote for 3.

People were really wanting Reforge and Hearth for the Healing, hopefully this has the potential to act as an equivalent. Would satisfy those who didn't get what they wanted with that vote, and frankly visiting Wonders of incredible beauty and import is part of why I wish we could do more Wonder hunting in general.

It might just be a Material, but I frankly doubt it. Ves has always been someone who tends to avoid giving 'Trap votes', and this is the one that most strongly indicates the actual act of Royalty. Not to mention having another treasure could be a huge boon.

Also also, What the FUCK is up with our Cycling Rolls?!?
