[X] Vulkan Frame
-[X] Normal
We do not have the infrastructure to compete against the big names right now, better to make our home brewed vessels to shore up our designs. Also the Naboo crisis really snowballed against the original version.
I guess that this means we are making the Rocinante from the Expanse this go around. And truthfully from everything that I read about the Republic both canon and fanon the general modus operandi for pursuing war is to protect the Core Worlds, turn the Mid Rim into a bulwark against any threats against the Core and sacrifice the Outer Rim as a stalling action.
>>I have to agree with Shen, it is good enough.<< Pinagg concurred with the younger man. He was currently flying above the holographic display of the corvette frame your team had come up with. His return to the team from his side project with the freighter had been welcomed by you. Mostly because you weren't happy with the frame for the corvette. It was good, yes, but something was missing, and you couldn't put your finger on it. >>Some places could be better, but I think it will work.<<
You looked up at him. "Anything in particular that caught your eye, Pinagg?"
The Genosian flew around the frame for a few moments and made some clicking noises that his protocol droid didn't translate. Finally, he stopped and pointed at some of the cross struts and connection points. >>Here and here, the design is a bit weak. At least for a ship that will see frequent combat.<<
You nodded and looked at Shen. "And you, Shen? Anything to add?"
The Duro was silent for a moment before sighing. As he spoke, he pointed towards the hologram. "It is a good design, I stand by that. But honestly? For our first try to build a military ship, I think we need to make it better. If it were a freighter, I wouldn't care, but the military tends to not forget if you give them something bad. I say we redo the whole thing from the start."

Vulkan Frame
Name: Mk. 1 Vulkan Corvette Frame
Size: Normal
Compartment Space: Starting at 15
Advantage: 3
Flaw: 2
Cost: Starting at 3
How does this work: [ ] Try to make the current Frame Design better. (second Frame Roll / +2 Stress)
Do we just roll 2d6 and get new stats, advantages and disadvanatges?
As it is I am inclined to just keep the frame, we got an average frame and I do not see anything that improves our odds unless one of the options is not just a straight roll.
[X] Keep the current design and …
-[X] get the production cost lower. x3
If I understand correctly this costs us all 3 advantages, but somehow makes the frame entirely free. Not sure how that works narratively, but the 1:1 trade here is far more efficient than the 1:3 ratio we get at the end.
