Hybrid Hive: Eat Shard? (Worm/MGLN) (Complete)

Though she also realized that she might be geeking out a little too much over the transit time reduction when she finally figured out that the full third that it had shaved off amounted to a hundred milliseconds.
Taylor has found her inner Armsmaster, I see.
Questions and discussion that was obviously the woman digging for something, but Missy couldn't figure out what.
She was digging for, "Why did you try to kill yourself, Missy?"

Well, looks like Missy is very savvy magical girl, trying to go and destroy the apocalypse demon in what is mostly a beefed up underwear armor is not only idiotic but totally suicidal.
There is a reason nanoha makes all cadets experience hell in her trainings, she got to experience the results in a painfull way.
NO Taylor, electric attacks are always lethal, even a taser can kill you if you are unlucky, so good luck trying to make it just slightly lethal.

That was deeply entertaining. Whenever somebody balls up and asks outright they are proooobably going to have a collective aneurysm, that Missy is not in fact suicidal, but was much less co-operative and rule abiding than they thought.

I hadn't thought about it in a while, but spells are using a ridiculous amount of math by now, aren't they. Are we on the "Taylor is really good at math" train, or is this a function of multitasking plus a unison system?
In keeping with the mathematician's dilemma, I give you the mathematician's answer:

Yes.

INTERVIEWER: "Miss Byron, there's just no gentle way remaining to put this. At this point in the investigation we need to understand your motivation in attempting to end your own life."
MISSY: "Attempting to do what?"
<Record scratching noises ensue>

Hah! First appearance of Hybrid Device Space, here we are. (Phone number 6-4377223 from CmptrWz's secondary list.)

WARNING WARNING 3 DAYS TO ENDBRINGER

And yes Vista math is very important but, but don't worry it's not three-dimensional maths... it's fourth-dimensional maths and higher

I notice the Endbringer Taylor is most likely to fight is the one she feels she would have the hardest time fighting.

Call this insider's knowledge if you wish, but my first though would be to see if the Drones can cast barriers across the mouth of the bay, as well as over the surface of the bay, in order to limit how much water Leviathan can access. She may not be able to stop all of his combat actions, but perhaps she can limit his control of the battlefield and keep the waves down to less lethal levels.....

Also, I now have a mental image of Minerva's Drones shooting up at Ziz hard enough and fast enough that she isn't quite able to enter the atmosphere.....

As to Behemoth.... Well, perhaps she can figure out how to transfer something that large to that world with the odd base on it...

Next up.... Missy needs a Math Tutor. Preferably a Scaly one.

Don't forget the spatial manipulation hacks she now has access to. They're a fairly decent counter to Leviathan's tidal wave nonsense.

The thing is though, that while the PRT is wrong about Missy committing suicide to escape the situation with her stuck between her parents and the Youth Guard, what she did end up doing isn't likely to be considered that much less drastic. Vista went to what is essentially a complete unknown entity (as far as the PRT are concerned) who have somewhat suspect motivations, to request that they remove her powers in an attempt to escape the very toxic situation she was in. From the PRT's perspective, what Vista did is the equivalent of going to a back alley doctor she heard about from the street, and asking them to amputate one of her limbs. Possibly to be considered even worse by some of the Protectorate members, because if asked I'm sure that someone like Armsmaster would very much prefer to lose an arm or leg than lose their powers.

Edit: The PRT wouldn't know about the fact that Missy wasn't trusting some unknown parahuman group, but had figured out that Taylor was the one in charge so to speak. And they also wouldn't know about the deal Missy made where she gets to keep her powers in a new format, with extras included. Her choices look very different without that knowledge.

Can't she take the safety off of Dimensional Transference and transfere the top half of any Endbringer to outer space in another Dimension or similar... unless they have Mana Resistance or something?

Its a good thing the little idiot is going to be a magical girl.😜

Sneaking out on patrols by herself? God help her if she got knocked out by something. Sounds like her shard was making her want to be Rambo jr., and now its a quiet space in her head.🤔🤔

Yamada is digging for info on what could have turned her powers off.
Math........how I hate math.😂

Taylor has found her inner Armsmaster, I see.
And then immediately decided it wasn't very helpful.
...Poor Colin.
I can't wait for the next interlude, to see the fallout of this event from the perpective of someone other than Missy/Taylor
Just gotta wait until February the twelfth.
Just... gotta wait.
...At least Wz is reliably consistent when it comes to updates, so we'll always know they are coming.

The obvious way to deal with an Endbringer is to drop a portal in front of them, force them through, then seal the thing shut and bombard the planet they were left on until it is an asteroid field.

Maybe, but part of the problem is that teleporting Big Things seems to take a lot of oomph. And possibly requires them to be stationary, which is easier said than done for the Giant Death Aura Monster Cyclops, The Stupid Fast Macrohydrokinetic, and the Flying Super TeleEverything.

Closest thing I can think of off the top of my head for what you're suggesting that I've seen in Nanoha would be the Book of Darkness defense program back in Lyrical Nanoha As. When they were punting the Book of Darkness into orbit so they could Arc En Ciel it in A's, they had to pummel it stationary with three high-grade mages to find the core and then it took three support mages to teleport the wreckage into orbit before it could regenerate.

Given that Endbringers are, from what I understand, made of Dimensional Matter Shenanigans, especially the cores, I suspect trying to do the same with just Taylor, Hive, and Missy would be a non-trivial exercise, since Earth Bet magic cores are apparently a bit weak and take time to 'build up' once they go active and Missy's not currently set up for Magic Beam Dakka, if I read Hive's explanation of her current Device setup.

...even a failed attempt would probably terrify the heck out of everyone else around though.
'WHAT DID YOU JUST DO.'
<Taylor> 'Tried to splatter it across multiple dimensions via dimension shifting.'
'What.'
<Hive> *tiny fairy headpats* 'We'll get it next time, boss!'
<Missy> 'So, Ice Cream?'

Edit: Also, amusingly, might not work even if they pull it off. Not sure about Behemoth, but punting Leviathan's upper torso into another dimension probably wouldn't kill him, given his core is at the base of his tail, I believe.
