The Morrsley Village Experiment

Oh man, I'm reading all of these posts and I just don't know what I can contribute right now.

Same man.

What's everyone's favorite flavor of ice cream, dood?

My favourite flavor is-

My favorite flavor is strawberry cheesecake

Hey! My man! Same dude! Normal strawberry is a close second tho. Mainly cause I can never find it fucking anywhere and I miss normal strawberry ice cream with a burning passion.

Honestly, Nictis, can you drop the act, please.

oh also
[N] Finger Of Suspicion Nictis

You claimed information about the setup and then...walked it back when pressed?

Why?

Note: The FoS should have been blue, but apparently I mixed up the G and B in RGB. It is late.
Literally never did that dood.

And I'm imitating a prinny to avoid wallposting dood!
Then what the heck else do you call
2. Or rather, it's possible that factions are permeable. It's possible you might start scummy and be saved by your ice-cream as the game moves on. It's possible the reverse might happen, it's possible that everyone's ice-cream color actually mostly just matches their role color. It's possible it's all a red herring and it is just a weird joke, but I doubt that.
I can confirm that 2 is wrong, that 4 is just usual GM practice, and that 6 is basically describing mafia dood!
this?!

...Yes you did, dood.

You claimed that something in 2 was false.

As that is entirely about mechanics around ice cream...

Well, the charitable interpretation is that you know that your ice cream color does not match your role color, but that was already prefaced with a "mostly"!

Yes, thank you, @InterstellarHobo.

You claimed that something in 2 was false.
Look at 2, what is the only thing I could know is wrong dood?

Game Mechanic (GM) Role Info (Player) GM Memes (GM) dood.

There is one thing that I, as someone who is not the GM, could know about dood.

In what case would I know about any of the others dood?

Lords above. His role color and ice cream color aren't the same.
Obviously. Why else would he say that? That seems like the obvious answer.

Why do people keep accusing Nictis of cheating? I mean look.

Putting aside the game, cause honestly I think he's a little sus. Why do people keep accusing him of cheating? It's offensive. I don't like it. No one here is cheating.

So, now that D1 has ACTUALLY begun, I think it's worth considering (again) a null today. To be clear, I don't suggest we do this as part of any of the arguments referenced in the megathread, but, specifically because of the meme rules, and a few things I've noted in my character message.

1. Ice-cream flavors exist and are 'equally enforced' as other rules. Now, I noticed my ice-cream flavor has colored text, much the same way roles have colored text. These are similar to the way factions are colored. This might be a nothing. It might be a core game mechanic.

Cults and conversions exist as a mechanical thing in the general Mafia universe.

That would be a horrible slip, but you could've made it.

@ondine I'd like to know who you're accusing of accusing Nictis of cheating.

I certainly haven't done that.

Serious talk for a second: I don't think anyone here is actually accusing me of cheating. TMI (Too much information) can be a sign of scum, the issue here is that people seem to think that me discouraging flavor hunting with a bit of an info drop as me having more information than I should, and aren't looking at what info they are saying I have.

Do I have information that tells me scum are going to just... Change alignments later? Am I told that the ice cream is actually just fluff while everyone else... isn't? Am I being told that having ice cream makes you kill immune?

There's issues with all of these assumptions, namely that the information I would supposedly have here is just ridiculous.

@ondine I'd like to know who you're accusing of accusing Nictis of cheating.

I certainly haven't done that.
I think ondine is just defensive of me after the last game, where I was being called scum, on evidence that required me to have been cheating.

But seriously here, I want you to look at what info you're trying to say I have. Then I want you to consider what that info would mean.

Because honestly, having to repeat myself on this and getting grilled for role info from thirty minutes into the game is getting annoying dood.

I took the accusations of privileged knowledge to insinuate cheating. I suppose that's not the only way that could be taken. It just made me uncomfortable.

And yeah Nictis was accused outright of cheating last game. So I suppose I just saw it coming down the pike again.

My initial read of your initial response to my wild guessing was that you had a power or win-condition that interacted with the ice-cream flavors and told you an actual function, leading you to dismiss the hypothetical, which wouldn't necessarily indicate alignment, but would be a huge slip.

This post has me confused cus I have no idea how you align your bullet point and Nictis' response to this conclusion specifically.

This post has me confused cus I have no idea how you align your bullet point and Nictis' response to this conclusion specifically.

Okay, let's summarize:

1. I raised a bullet point suggesting that ice-cream flavor colors might shift factions in some kind of cultish way or the like AND saying that this wouldn't be possible if everyone's ice-cream color matched their alignment.
2. Nictis said this bullet point was wrong (vaguely)
3. I (later also Biggerfish I assume) took this to mean that Nictis had some information, presumably from a power that triggers ice-cream or a win-con related to it, that this isn't how this works.
4. What Nictis claims to have meant is that Nictis' flavor color and alignment don't match. Nictis also expressed confusion over how they'd know any of the other bits were definitively wrong.
5. I explained what we thought Nictis would know.

Does that help clear things up?

Kinda fading in and out at the moment, will probably be going to sleep soon dood.

I doubt that there is only a single faction dood, and I'd rather not run with the assumption that is true in case it isn't dood.

Easier to correct for that later than to try to recover from giving them the advantage anyways dood, I say we treat the game as usual until we see reason that it isn't dood.

Speaking of which, I never changed my vote dood.

I don't like how he jumped onto me, it felt more like he was trying to force a reveal or remove a known threat than actually suspecting me dood.

I have another suspicion, but I'm going to hold off on that for a bit dood.
