Why do people want to be questioned before we have time to ask Atlas what actually happened? We can't answer most of his questions. That pretty much guarantees that Minato finds us suspicious.

And if it isn't obvious, appearing suspicious right after everyone is paranoid because an enemy infiltrated the village is bad.
I find it unlikely Minato will be asking questions we can't answer, and if he does we can honestly say we don't know what happened. We blacked out, and our body apparently went on auto-pilot. That's 100% the truth.

Or, alternatively, we tell the Hokage about Atlas. I think that'd be a good move.

Just a friendly reminder that Konoha has a torture and interrogation division.

That's not suspicious at all. [/sarcasm]

People like to keep secrets from the people we can trust most
First off, Atlas being found out because we fold during Minato's questioning makes a far worse impression than revealing its existence without outside pressure. Second, telling Minato before Hiashi and Kakashi would be an insult to the people Shino actually cares about.
So even if you want to reveal Atlas, now is not the time for it.

On they'd have no reason to use if we are being honest.

Hey, it's the truth. Minato should be able to tell we are being 100% truthful, and tell we don't got any chakra or seals or anything fucking with our head. And, honestly, it's actually pretty plausible. Anterograde Amnesia is a common result of concussions, and that combined with the immense stress we were under, the FIRST time we were in a situation ANYTHING like it,

1) Easy solution, volunteer the information. We don't fold, we just present it openly.
2) Not really. It had never been relevant before now, and we don't got that close of a relationship with Hiashi. As for Kakashi, he's right there. We'd be revealing it to him right as we reveal it to Minato. What's more, we're 4 years old. We might be a genius, but that doesn't mean we can't make mistakes like not thinking to share important information because it just hasn't been relevant.

Kakashi should be able to tell him, that we DIDN'T. We did not slow down Obito at all. Besides, you know, talking to him, and serving as a meat-bag for him to throw kunai at. Kakashi did all the fighting, and even then their exchange sounded more liek a one-stroke battle on both sides.
Still we survived! Against a opponent Minato couldn't kill, you know the HOKAGE, while a not even student could survive. That is no easy feat.

[x]The Hokage's Office: Kakashi was crashed in the Hokage's couch, while Lord Fourth held his sleeping newborn in his arms. "Shiro Hyuga… I'm glad that you're finally awake, we have much to discuss."

Holy shit.
So our family is dead, except our little brother who we will protect until the end of time. I'm pretty sure the main and branch relations are over. All that remains are Hiashi and his pregnant wife and kids, easily assassinated if they try to go back to subjugating the branch.

Cloud tried to kidnap Hinata later on, I think that can still happen. Thoughts?

Positives are Minato is alive, so Konoha still will be feared, Kushina is alive which means Naruto will have a happier life but will be a brat.
The Uchiha are going to be under a lot of suspicion and dislike, even if only because people need a scapegoat to blame and association bias.

Also, sharing the existence of Atlas might make them think we are psychologically disassociating and making imaginary beings. How do you verify something like this? We might not even be taken seriously, after all, we are a four-year-old.

Edit: Went back and read some of the posts. Changing my vote
[X]With Uncle Hiashi: He was… shaken. He looked as if his entire world was shattered.

Hard decision, but this feels the best

[X]In a hospital room: You awoke to screams and groans of pain. You were in scrubs… and you were covered in blood. "Shiro." An orderly said your name. "Come on, if your awake and able to move, we need that bed."

Tbh I'm okay with the Hiashi vote winning, too.

I think the Hokage office vote is going to include Minato thanking Shiro for rescuing Kakashi from his demons or something. After we tell him what we witnessed between Obito and Kakashi, I mean.

Looks like Uncle needs some Healing Words Jutsu™. And we probably will too...

Why oh why people think that revealing that which makes the MC in any type of fiction special such as being a reincarnation, have some type of special power or in Shiros case having another being in his soul is a good idea completely fucking stumps me...It's never a good idea. Period.

So why people are so hell bent on telling Minato about Atlas is something I really don't understand and am completely and utterly against.

Also, really? Telling paranoid, pragmatic and even ruthless to an extent Ninjas in a village full of other Ninjas you have a Super-Intelligent AI from another reality in your mind/soul/whatever that is able to take over our body and shut down our arms at will will not go wrong at all...nope...not one bit.

I personally don't want to tell Minato. I just voted to wake up there because it appealed to me the most. But if that's what the others who voted that way are planning to do, I'd definitely reconsider.

I've seen it mentioned and being talked about before which is why I'm thinking it's what people want to do but it's good to know that atleast some may be of different opinion.

Here, I recommend reading The Bloody Oracle of Kiri, unique SI, for the conversation with Minato alone. Is one of those "telling" self-inserts that don't hoard knowledge.

As for telling versus not telling. That is a debate all it's own. The special snowflake can tell what makes them special, and how. Or the special snowflake never loses that hidden secret they keep. Sometimes, the special snowflake keeping a secret makes no sense. Other times, telling makes no sense.

Shiro should be fine if Minato is told about Atlas, not the strangest shinobi secret that exists. Some clans have stranger secrets. That doesn't really give a why reveal Shiro's secret though.

How about this? Shiro should reveal his secret so he won't be given odd looks if Atlas is given control in the future, or pulls off something beyond his skill set.

Another of facet of Naruto I'm interested in exploring, Spirits and Gods. There are A LOT of those just casually mentioned and/or summoned in Canon. There's the Shinigami, there's Kannon, there's Jashin, there's the King of Hell, there's a scientifically provable afterlife from which you can aquire spirits of the dead, there's the Zero Tails a spirit made from negative feelings, and who knows what else I'm forgetting.

Edit : That afterlife bit will be especially interesting to play with later on. In Naruto, death is only as permanent as the high level people want it to be. There are not only several forms of immortality floating around, there are several ways to bring people back to life.

Part of me would like it if Shiro had a significant other of some sort but another one realises that's gonna be a up hill battle for a machine turned human. We need some some pretty good roles to even make it so someone would think of Shiro in that way.

I don't understand why that would be a problem. Everyone else just starts as a baby from nothing and manages to grow up and develop normal human emotions. It's not as if Shiro directly went from being a machine to being a teenager with nothing inbetween.

Yeah, that would have been an awkward transition.

Other Main Branch Members: 1D100 => 17+10=27

The Main Branch has been purged, courtesy of the Kyuubi.
Kyuubi did nothing wrong :V

Minato had an idea… Split the Kyuubi, one half in Naruto, and the other half would go back into Kushina.

He teleported to both of them did that.

Minato success roll:1D100 => 78+50(Time, sealmaster, and Kushina)+10=138

And Minato succeeded, without needing to resort to… his backup plan.
Originally he splits the Kyuubi by using the self-sacrificing Shinigami thingy. Since he didn't die in this version of the story maybe you could expound on how he did it ?
