He's a Pacifist by Ninja Standards. You know, the people who's entire profession revolves around killing LOTS of people. He only thinks he's a pacifist but really has no idea how to be one:

What exactly is the point of interacting with Itachi? I really don't see it.
Blame Danzo. He was probably one once, but Fugaku and Sarutobi and Obito corrupted him. As for Danzo... f@#$ that guy.
Always Blame Danzo.True enough I suppose, he's more of a depressed self sacrificing dude trying to be a pacifist. Tho his view on war and death is so...idiotic in a way considering the world he lives in.
To be fair to him tho, he was a traumatised child taken advantage of and manipulated by those older then him, especially Danzo.
But is that a good thing or a bad thing? Itachi was the spy on the Akatsuki for Jiraya. If nobody calls him out on the insanity of his plans, then we're unlikely to have an Uchiha clan in a few years.
That would be hilarious to write. A blunt AI telling itachi how to be a pacifist. To that end, I'd prefer a friendly rivalry where Shiro doesn't hold back on criticising Itachi when he does something stupid.
1) He... didn't really accomplish much, did he? What information did he even gather that actually helped? But is that a good thing or a bad thing? Itachi was the spy on the Akatsuki for Jiraya.
I mean... I really think Tobi had Itachi by the balls.He... didn't really accomplish much, did he? What information did he even gather that actually helped?
That would explain why he was so ineffective.

2) I thought he was Danzo's spy, not Jiraya's.
Whoops, my headcanon is leaking onto the quest. Sorry. He was no one's spy. He was keeping a eye on the Akatsuki but not reporting it to anyone. The reason the "Itachi is Jiraya's spy" theory is because Jiraya says he has a source reporting hm info about the Akatsuki but never says who it is. Pair that with the fact that Itachi is secretly a good guy and people made a theory.
Hmm... an entire clan of ninja with a powerful dojutsu that can stop Bijuu, or a single spy that only gets the same falsified information as all the other members of Akatsuki? But is that a good thing or a bad thing? Itachi was the spy on the Akatsuki for Jiraya.
Wow, these are great points I had no knowledge about (completely forgot about Chidori Senbon), but here is another question: What if we are too low on chakra? What if we used and relied too much on our chakra and our techniques that we run out of chakra too quickly? Because chakra isn't infinite (except for in the war arc, fuck that noise). What I see weapons is as more of a precaution in case we run out of chakra or just to use in general. After all, even Sasuke uses his sword and both Naruto and Sasuke used the big shuriken against Momoshiki.I'd agree with you... if we were part of literally any other clan. Not only does our clans martial art boast EXTREME lethality in melee, it's actually very possible to turn it into a ranged art. And that's only Part 1, part 2 we got people just making their throwing weapons out of chakra whole-sale.
Short range, we use Gentle Fist. Medium Range, we use Water Needle. Long-Range, we use a Bow and Arrow.
Yeah, I acknowledged the benefits of having weapons as a backup for if we run low on chakra. But that's just that, a backup for when our primary strategy doesn't work, not something that is better than our primary strategy. Once we've Gently Fisted till we couldn't Gentle Fist no more, THEN we pull out the blades.Wow, these are great points I had no knowledge about (completely forgot about Chidori Senbon), but here is another question: What if we are too low on chakra? ??? The only "disease" he had was Mangekyo Abuse.Itachi is destined to die at a young age eventually because of disease,
Kinda doubt that, given WoG that this vote was to see who would be a big impact on us and maybe BFF, especially if we DO do something silly like wall-walk our way up there.Kakashi will just blow us off and would try not to converse with a toddler
Itachi was suffering from a disease. His disease is unfortunately, unknown. Since he was coughing up blood,we could assume it was some sort of a respiratory disease. It is said that he got his illness shortly after he joined the Anbu.
Tobi stated that Itachi was suffering from a disease and he was taking medicine to extend his life. That's the main reason that Itachi couldn't get an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan because his illness limited his powers, Not to mention that Itachi was actually Blind while he was fighting Sasuke. There has been a reference from Chapter 401 in the Fandom:
"At some point, Itachi contracted a terminal illness. He kept himself alive through the years by medicine and sheer willpower so that he could live long enough to die by Sasuke's hand."
Hmm... It's a good thing we have a medical AI in our spirit who could help us.
You know what ELSE happens shortly after joining the ANBU? Shisui dies and Itachi aquires the Mangekyo Sharingan.
