Sort of yeah, they realized he had talents, but I got the impression they saw him almost like a Raymond-like figure. Smart, but weird and he doesn't really do much with his talents. According to the GM, they thought he spends most his time in the castle with his pet Roc (which they also found weird). And Loki seemed largely content with it.

Thanos just pushed them out of their comfort zone and look how well they're doing now...

EDIT:

That said, I'm not sure what he actually hoped to gain from this, long term. I just suspect this is how he'll rationalize it.
Yea ironically thanks to Thanos Loki/we enjoy far more freedom and are a loot more powerful than before both in this and previous quest.

If Loki trains with them in magic does he also have a chance to gain some?
Can we get an action that allows Loki to test his friends to know what they can do?
Can we get an action to refine military, and naval doctrine?
How long do we have until the other Realms takes Lokis silence as weakness or disrespect?
Can we get an action to refine Asgards disaster response/evacuation protocols?

Only magic skills
Sure
Sure
Silence about what?
Sure

I think its boring tbh, I don't see the problem, Osmond already noticed Lokis abnormality and he's a close friend, so whats the problen. We want Osmond to make magitech but wont give him a chance to actually learn.
Problem is that there are safer ways for him to get into magi tech and magi tech is only possible through forging. Besides that it feels like Osmond learning about magic through messing with dangerous artifacts is the equivalent of someone without the right knowledge trying to learn through poking a freaking nuke. This:

Tuning Fork: It summons something...something powerful and dark. But Loki didn't want to experiment too much with it. Osmond pays it no mind.

Seems extremely dangerous and something we really shouldn't be messing with. In fact from a logical standpoint messing with stuff that we know next to nothing about that also give off bad vibes seems pretty dumb. I mean nothing is stopping us from asking Odin what the ones we shouldn't touch are when he wakes up.

As is it seems like people are way too willing to ignore all the dangers and not even consider lowering the odds of something going wrong.

We should just take the Odin library option next turn to research the threats, objects, and secrets Odin left a behind.

That's 1 artifact out of how many? Seems limiting tbh, and it's kinda boring that ever since the Thanos invasion people are afraid of taking risks.

...People are willing to take risks. Just don't see points in taking dumb risks. I mean you haven't really addressed the fact that it seems pretty dumb for a guy with zero magical knowledge to look into extremely dangerous magical artifacts. It's like saying that it's totally fine for someone with no science knowledge to poke around a freaking nuke despite them ot even knowing what it actually is or how it works.

I don't know if it was said before, but could we somehow mesh Bifrost and Space Stone together so that Bifrost will allow us to travel anywhere in the universe, as well as not requiring as much power, or something like that?

I just want the casket included so Osmond can figure out the "runt" debuff and fix it

Don't the other Realms know Odin is injured and Asgard got attacked. I thought they would preceve our continued isolation as weakness. Before we kept the peace but now Loki can't see the other Realms so Asgard cannot protect other Realms.

No. No one officially knows what happened besides Asgard and Thanos/Titan. They only know what Asgard claims in the sanctions which wouldn't divulge that type of information to anyone.

So... Just to bring it to your attention. Thor's martial went from 45 to ???.
I believe Loki should start working out a little.

Can Loki use his assistants for king stuff? If we cant, can we hire assistants for it?
What are the ways to increase our actions, either in personal or king actions?
Can we bind ourselves to a dimension or energy source as a project?
@KnowledgeKing

Is there a way for our binding to add to martial like mind does? How many points would we need to that? @KnowledgeKing

Just get the Binding Magic high enough or skills to 5/5 so no Malus.

No. Not really. You can assign people titles to handle stuff and they'll do it on their own.
More resources for Asgard. More people running stuff that aren't Loki for...Loki's actions.
It'd take an incredible roll. But it's technically possible.

Do we get a trait for being the King of Asgard and the Protector of Nine Realms?
No only because it's so temporary (as far as everyone knows). Make it permanent, and yes.

[X] Yes, Osmond can run tests, but only on one item at a time while the rest are in the vault for protection.

Edit: Though I am eager to see what Odin and Frigga's reaction to new magi-tech Asgard would be like.
They'd probably be extremely impressed and proud. Though in Odin's case I also imagine that it would be one more reason to be even more disappointed in Thor.

I mean not only has Loki actually taken his role as a prince seriously and actually stepped up as king when needed and even started towards making serious improvements. Meanwhile Thor has just been absolutely irresponsible. From taking a freaking vacation/going on an adventure when Odin was ill and taking it's best warrior's but also refusing to take up the crown when it was his responsibility and even refusing to listen to it's current King, repeatedly, after he handed over the crown.

If we make even more serious improvements before Odin wakes up I wonder if we can to the point where Odin outright thinks that Loki is just flat out better as a ruler than Thor. Of course he'd probably still want Thor to rule as it's king since he is the heir.
