Why does everyone want to social Odin? Odin is worst parent and doesn't like us. Why are we trying to lay second fiddle to thor instead of socialing with anyone else like best parent frigga who doesnt despise us and to whom we don't need to justify our existence while being forever deemed inferior to our other sibling?

becuase we can literally fix that? like if we spend the time now worming our way into Odin's heart, the greater rewards we can get outta it, if only from lowered DC's

Completely agree with this. One of the main issues with the last quest was that people saw Amora as a threat with how well she did despite the QMs constanty reassurances. I rather we not make a competition where were just need to be better than everyone else. If people want to do their own things that's fine, if they do amazingly well instead of being upset at that just be supportive and if we must compete between friends let's not let it get toxic and just try to be friendly about the whole thing.
 
@KnowledgeKing, will we ever be able to get rid of traits later on? Because -10 for the rest of the Quest will be really annoying. And why do we even have the Runt Trait? We're only a runt by Frost Giant standards, not Asgardian.

And how do we figure out what Odin is doing to us!? It's just that this entire situation is giving me anxiety, because we have to do everything all over again! It's frustrating! Being Loki is hell, is basically what I'm saying. But I tentatively look forward to the next post. I really hate Odin, for everything he's done. I say we should ignore him. Cut him out of our lives. Because I don't want to waste time on a uphill battle, win, then find out we're a Frost Giant and hate him again. The point? I don't want Loki to be the better person. Or if he is, he still shows everyone who hurt him how much it hurt him, and they will never forget.

This was mostly me venting to calm me down. But I still want a clarification on what we can and cannot do with traits.

Consider this though, we can worm our way into the hearts of people who don't already dispise us and to whom our existence doesn't need to be justified. All that effort going into Odin could be going into literally anyone else and see greater results.

Because he is a major player and people at least want to be on decent terms with him and having a decent or at least non hostile relationship means that it would save us a lot of trouble later.

Plus we kind of ignored Odin the first quest, tried something only as a moody teenager, it wasn't a success but wasn't a total fail either, and then we gave up.

I don't think Odin despises Loki. Just seems a bit wary of him due to his experiences with Jotun. In fact he is hoping that Loki could prove that Jotun's can be better they seem.

THIS is a very important point that people keep missing, that Odin is KING, like why do you NOT want to TRY and get on the KING'S good side? it's just the most logical thing to at least TRY and do it
Another point is that i am confused where this assumption that Odin HATES Loki comes from, it's canon that he loved both of his sons

Because Odin is our Father, and "parent favors one child" is something that can be course-corrected. I don't view Odin as an immutable one-dimensional caricature of a plotter, and I'd like to see us develop our relationship with him where it's not hugely dysfunctional.

Basically, I have some faith and hope that if we invest just a bit of effort, things can change.

And before people rant about "but he should put forth the effort", things are warped a bit by the fact that this is a Quest. Things change most often because the Quest PC takes direct actions. That's how this sort of game/thread works.

The Thor trait sure. The runt trait...Loki's not Asgardian. He's a Frost Giant. So he has that until he becomes...not a Frost Giant or not a runt.

Before we delve deeper into a single topic (though I am a fan of going deeper into Math), we should first study the basics: our own classes. Thus, we have base knowledge and are more likely to increase our Learning Stat, which we need to do if we want to have better results in our further delves into knowledge.

I believe you want to remove Self Help from the list. Also if you put a - before each bracket after the Plan bracket you will have it look nice on the tally.

Need to ask but does math actually affect other stats? Because from experience people can over think things in quests and end up making mistakes due to wrong assumptions.
 
If we go further into math we may be able to forge a calculator or early mechanical computer. Which could eventually lead to having an AI buddy in the long run.
