Chronicles of Baldur: Aetus and it's Fall

To check is Kesar guaranteed to die after this activates?

Well, finally time for your Omake rewards. A good story about the lead up to how a planet fell to chaos. They had the best intentions, but chaos is insidious. The invisitext is a good touch, and it is surprisingly similar to one of the initial planets you guys could have chosen to land on. For rewards:

[] A Watchful Eye - Warp corruption is insidious. It seeps into the cracks of society and in the vastness of the Imperium, some planets are always overlooked. To this end, a warning system has been put in place in order to deal have some warning in case of chaos corruption. *If a planet falls, they have a chance to get a warning out early*
[] The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions - The path one takes as they fall is not always a story of galactic evils. Some people, just want to make the world a little bit brighter. The greatest sin of chaos, is how the noblest of men can fall with just the desire to help people. *+5 for worlds in Kesar's domain to resist corruption*
[] Desperate Hold-outs - The Wardens have always emphasized a single fact. Do not fall to the warp daemons. In the event a planet's government is subverted by chaos, people will rise up and resist. It may not be useful, but it is something. *Bonus for resistance on chaos worlds*

Also, Wombat Kesar will die if this activates.

Lorgar: 12 + 40 (Primarch) + 20 (Astartes) + 10 (anti-Ork tactics) = 82
Huh. Looks like Lorgar will become the Anti-Ork Primarch after all. Maybe he'll get around to writing that book after this.
[] Dark Eldar – Several Dark Eldar ships have been spotted in the XI Primarch's domain. Their location is unknown, but seem to be poised to conduct a large scale operation
[] Hearth IV - A well-developed Mechanicus world that refuses to worship the Emperor as the Omnissiah. They claim that there is a distinct difference between the two. They say that they are happy to remain independent and have offered non-aggression pacts and free trade, but refuse to join what they view as a tyrannical structure. The inhabitants of Hearth IV focus mostly on developing their solar system. With the system is a massive series of shipyards and mining of the asteroid belt which results in a truly massive amount of production. Estimates indicate that this will increase the production in the Warden's domain by 50%, as a Tier 15 infrastructure is significant.
[] Ruoult – The Ruoult is an interesting Xenos race that is working to defend human colonies from another Xeno race. Guilliman attempted negotiations but due to the actions of a few Ultramarines, the negotiations collapsed. Perhaps the Wardens could do something about this?
[] Velnias I – The Emperor has requested that Kesar take this planet within a year or two. Velnias I is a small rocky body with a breathable atmosphere, home to 53 million souls. On this feudal world, lies a warp rift kept active by large numbers of sacrifices. Information is currently sparse as the survey team immediately left to warn the Imperium. Currently, large numbers of daemons are present, and large-scale psyker rituals are beginning.
Ah shit, these all seem really important. Unfortunately, we only have about 66,000 Astartes to get through this. Okay, the Dark Eldar might be delayed by a year but it's the "large scale operation" bit that scares me. Hearth IV probably doesn't require too many Astartes as this seems like a primarily diplomatic mission. Ruoult can be solved diplomatically but we may need backup in case talks break down. Velnias can probably be held off for now. So we could send about 25,000 Astartes to deal with the Dark Eldar and 5,000-10,000 for Ruoult and Hearth IV each. That leaves us with Velnias and about 21,000 to 31,000 Astartes left. Can we take it? Where should Kesar be deployed?

actually now that I look at it, this should give us more PP

[] Plan For PP!
-[] Upgrade Planetary Infrastructure of infrastructure level 12 planet to level 15 (-300)
-[] Upgrade Planetary Infrastructure of infrastructure level 4 planet to level 5 (-460)

@Daemon Hunter how are the PP production being calculated on your google doc?

edit: nvm found it

I'm guessing this is the natural 100 for Chaos planet generation that was rolled, so I would personally not want to split the Legion for this one. Wait the year, and then send everything at it.
Okay, good plan. The bonuses we get from the rest of the missions and the 10,000 Astartes from next year ought to be enough to take it on.

Considering we asked for a year to rest and recuperate so we can fight chaos; I second Enjou's opinion that we should wait for next year to do that one.

it had a soul yet it was not as great or bright as the little ones that walked the halls of its body It had no gender but was referred as she by the little ones so she was she. They had given her a name the day her heart-that-burned-like-stars that name was Vigilance the moment power thrummed through her existence alongside the chanting praises of the red draped ones. with the first flexing of her sensors to behold the planet-so-red enringed by the metal skin home that housed her brothers and sisters alongside the little solders that were being born or were dancing through the blackness in groups of many sizes she was soon given solders of her own to lead through the shifting impossibility to other worlds were her lances left molten ruin to enemy's strange and similar while her macro battery's left shattered husks.

Before arriving above a world so blue and cold were the armoured little ones she loved to watch met there parent tall and fair but the joy would end above a world in throes of rot and ruin. With her fury she smote the rotting wounds the hide in their bubbles while the Armoured little ones cleansed the rest. there was no joy to be had upon the little ones return as the fair farther to a place of metal making and carved names upon metal that she heard countless times from countless little ones. so she carved them into her memory so they will live on through her systems to remind her of her duty now and forever.

That's pretty good. I like the characterization of the Vigilance's machine spirit and how it names others. Plus, the binary is a very nice touch, especially the translation. For your reward:

[] She was the Vigilance - The flagship of the Wardens, the Vigilance's machine spirit is unussually active. Enemies are targetted just a little faster, void shields are reraised sooner, life support functions longer than it should. This series of small but incremental improvements adds up. *+5 to void combat*
[] An Eternal Vigil - The Vigilance watches eternally. The flagship of the Wardens, its machine spirit has proven active and determined. It will be eternal. *Vigilance gains +50 to combat on the round it is destroyed*
[] A Second Stirring of Something More - ?????

For the plan itself, I assume that is because infrastructure might be overcomplicated. In the future, I may just externalize it by having a few categories to choose from instead of having PP be split as people see fit.

With the different stirrings of the machine spirits with us these days you would think they would hurry up and wake up.
Come on machine spirits stop being so lazy:D

i am writing an omake tomorrow, about a brief overview of Valhalla Government, what sort of reward one can possibly expect. I am looking for a better soil and water purification stc, particularly deal with the planets suffering from ecological disaster.

is it possible to to remove Hive cities in our world and remake them into something better?

Also, i suggest one of you write omake about the beautification of Valhalla, i want to make the planet as beautiful as possible which will be envied by Fulgrim.

Well, with the stirrings there a few IC things that also need to happen.

You can remake hive cities with the improved housing building although that is expensive at 100PP.
