For me it just really feels like the twins aren't given a choice in the matter.

Like, from how the text is written it feels like we just press a button and the girls fall for this prince and I am not a fan.

It isn't meant to give that impression. That was not my intention when writing it.

Eh, actually, most of our people are blessed. Only those of other nations (Merntir and Maradysh) aren't all blessed, because the blessing breeds true.
Okay, that's true.
But that still leaves a bigger difference between us and our vassals.

Little underage girls. If they were old enough to voice their opinion i wouldn't have nothing against it.

Can we have a write in in wich we wait for them to be older and then give them a choice on the matter ?

No write-ins are allowed. Also they are of age and so is the prince.

Guys, no. We just had this argument about always taking the shiny even when it hurts us.

Let's not reinforce the monarchy, the girls can be heroes without being royal.

Ditto for the Mentir, they can have some diversity of opinion.

Otherwise, let's see what we can do about that communal value, I don't want a monoculture that forces conformity.

With the faction quest we are getting 2 actions for the price of one and might give us bronze the metal so good that in our history stone tool production started to disapear.

[X] [SEC] Settle Land = (Greenbay)
S: -3 Temp Econ, -1 Temp Martial, +1 Settlement Progress, +1 Econ,
Lets get some more Econ before starting the next megaproject.

I know it wasn't (wouldn't fit your writing style so far and you don't seem like a dick), but it's still how it came off to me. Arranged marriages, and this is written as a grandfather considering who his grandson should marry so it counts, in general make me feel like that.

Contrast when Derfyl married into the royal family and Cerwyn notably didn't marry Gwynlon. We the players had no impact on that so it felt like the characters themselves were making the decision.

Urgh, bad turn. Both good values got corrupted and I see that male domination is starting to form in the ruling house at least, so that will probably spread soon.

Ok, that settles my vote

[x] Gather all potential suiters and throw 1 month long festival where the eligible ladies dismiss them one by one by handing out ever shrinking numbers of native flowers.

That was my first impression as well, actually.

The entire writing looks like a guy planning to hitch off his grandson to a twin without their express consent. From the replies, that doesn't sound like at all what happened. But that was my very first impression there.

We if marry both of them we can use both of them to help deal with the situation up north. they are both diplo and and something extra.
The maradysh are a subordinate, if we only take one or none at all they are't too inclined to go all the way up north to help deal with the situation in a land they have never been in.

They also still have a family oriented society, this would be a great way to start breaking that mold. Plus if we marry both heroes and things get hectic, we have a martial to lead the soldiers and a mystic to make sure the goddesses are pleased with us,

I doubt as we have to deal with it with current Cadlon. And they are still hero's so if we need them they can still do those things but not as members of royal family.

Also i don't want to set bad precedent of royal family marrying all talented people.

I want that free exploration. I want to support the Merntir as it likely increases the chances of a peaceful resolution to the issue up north. I agree with leaving them be in the south. Let our Vassals have the heroes. Personally at this point I don't think I want the vassals to be under our direct control yet. So long as they are vassals our group as a whole ends up with extra actions, since each of our vassals gets 2 actions. Course they are also way more settled than us, especially the Merntir, wouldn't be surprised if they have 3 actions at this point. As for the mega-upgrade, I definitely like both the magic technologies and the blessing upgrade. Both things could be very helpful for us.

To avoid confusion, if any of the twins are married to Darvyd, they will go north to Greenbay to be with their husband as per Maradysh tradition where you will be able to use them as Arthwydish heroes. Any which remain unmarried will be used by the Maradysh as heroes for their civ.

The People already practice polygamy so I'm not against a royal harem. The succession is the main issue.

EDIT: Fuck it.

[X] [South] Marry Darvyd to both sisters.

Let's do this.

I agree with current rate of expansion they are having Maradysh could use hero's to consolidate.
