It's rare for a sector to see more than 1 Alpha per century, never mind 2 Alpha+'s, and the 2 regular Alphas we managed to get through the Telepathica program.

I didn't think even being warptouched sufficiently explained why there were multiple Alpha+es being born. That kind of thing is nutso.
In this case spectacularly bad random luck.

In a more general sense, a combination of the planet mind (which most people don't know about) warp touched and sheer ****ing stress.

It's rare for a sector to see more than 1 Alpha per century, never mind 2 Alpha+'s, and the 2 regular Alphas we managed to get through the Telepathica program.
Note that was in M40. Humanity is evolving, and according to Durin IIRC Betas have reached the level where they are now within human limits rather than being guaranteed to be mad in all but 1/1000000000000 cases.

Well, an Alpha is stupidly rare still. If they were the new Beta in terms of rarity, I would not be surprised.

Well you propose two things and than took the advice of a chaos god. But more people should vote or come up with something else. I know how you feel.

What I am waiting for is too see what the other councilors are going to propose before we compromise or figure these out.
Actually, I kind of like the idea of an appointed subsector governor, that way personal conflicts between planetary governors are less likely to disrupt their ability to respond to problems.

But they should still meet on a regular basis to discuss their problems, how they can help each other, and trade issues.

To become a member of a secret cabal that runs the Imperial Trust from the shadows, because the High Council just isn't suited for making the Hard Decisions that need to be made to ensure the Trust's survival.

I think the Inquisition is about to propose giving one person large amounts of executive authority over the military, and this particular Inquisitor wanted to sound out Rotbart's character in person before supporting it.

This might actually be necessary, we saw how difficult the war on two fronts was on the Trust, and superior enemy mobility will probably require that we choose which areas to prioritize protecting, probably sacrificing some in the process.
Leaving those choices in the hands of people who can lose the power required to make those decisions by making unpopular decisions would be unwise and Rotbart has the right mental aptitude's for the job.

This is essentially a variant on the existing proposal

[X] Propose that the subsectors be required to hold their own councils. Their primary purpose will be to discuss how the constituent worlds of these sub sectors could aid each other and promote local trade.
These councils would be based upon the system in the core worlds, meet in their subsector capitals and would deal with the various issues affecting said subsectors. If an impasse is reached, or an issue arrises that the councils do not have the authority to address it will be refered upwards, to the low and eventually the high council if needed.

[X] Propose that the Security council be given greater powers that allow it to act quickly in the event of a sudden invasion. In addition the Security council will be allowed to create an appointed executive in each subsector so that they may react better to raids.

I'm not actually sure I agree with this last one, speaking selfishly it removes much of the Trust Guard's need to accept Tithed units, making them less likely to fund increases to Helguard scale.
[] Propose the increase of the Trust guard. That the security council will be able to request units designated by planetary government for long term and short term campaign. The Security council will also have the option to seek advisemenet from generals and admirals or other sources for security or military reasons.

Anyone else want to vote these is 15 less votes than the last one but the average for these meeting is like 11. Unless it is to give people the right to vote.

[X] Don't put your own proposal forward and instead work to find a compromise between what others suggest.

Changing my vote to this, Might change it back to my idea if anyone shows in interest in voting for it.

Until something inspired comes up, this'll be my vote.

So, I got most of the way through creating an Omake for the planet Gehenna, but I had misunderstood and hadn't realized it was already taken. I'll see If I can repurpose it for something else.
Is anyone else concerned about the relative lack of Promethium deposits in that whole subsector?

Also, does anyone have any ideas for an omake about Jotun immigrating to one of the already inhabited worlds in the subsector? If I get an idea that could create an interesting short story I'd write an Omake for it, so feel free to suggest some.

Maybe have a planet with Promethium lakes, only they're really difficult to get to because they're really deep underground, or possibly they're in the middle of the regular ocean's floor, or both.

An assassination on who?

Are you asking who we can assassinate, or people willing to try and assassinate Turoq...cause that's a bit of a waste of time (Daemon prince).
I am reasonably certain that Death's Head blink Spider venom was lethal to Daemons, and think I might have read a comment indicating that it causes permenant death rather than banishment.
But the stuff is so absurdly lethal, and it's source so absurdly difficult to catch that our only source for it is the Nyne, who I think dilute it to create some poison potions we bought for the Last Hunters

All the Prometheum in the system has inexplicably been gathered together and forms the core of one of the system's worlds. This poses an interesting challenge for extracting it because holy crap that is probably super explosive when exposed to atmosphere. On the bright side, it's all in one place. Hooray!!

Ok things are changing up so it looks like we will see what others want.

While I would love to let the other Governors come up with plans and just help make a compromise. It won't hurt to put our own in. If better plans are put forward by the rest of the council we can still find a compromise.

Given the profiligrate number of Astropaths allowing us to have actual good communications, maybe something like that.. though IIRC our Neo-Astropaths are stretched.
