Well Titans (and soon mega titans), Psyker Execution force, Last Hunters, Life Guard, Thunda Beast riders to varying degrees would count.

Oh and for the ocean our pet kraken would do as well.

We could try seeing if we can tame some of the Dragon Species like the Mountain or Plain dragons so we can do an actual dragon drop.
...Descents are huge firey death from above. While they aren't armed for melee I back them to win a diving headbutt contest too.

  • [X] Plan: Escalate Everything
-[X] Agressive Stance- By using the defences of Khazad-dum as an base of operations and anvil you could launch a highly aggressive campaign, using surgical strike by elite forces to inflict crippling damage to Headcrushas horde. This should allow you to quickly remove Headcrusha's aces, at the cost of high casualties.
-[X] Deploy the Last Hunters with alkhestry potions and poisons to ambush Headcrusher.
--[X] Lure Headcrusher with a Space Marine veteran acting as our commander into a prepared ground within the city.
    --[X] Authorize vortex grenades.
-[X] High- have your airforce participate in the defeat of Headcrushas personal horde. Heavy losses are expected but the addition of another field of attack could prove valuable in this battle.
-[X] Deploy your Descents- The Decent Destroyer is designed to lay waste to armies after descending to the lower atmosphere, use them. This will also be a major benefit for your air forces as the Decents formidable AA is brought onto the field of battle.
-[X] Psyker Support [Ambush forces] - Your Diviners, Telepaths and Biomancers could support your ground and air forces, improving their impact and preserving their lives.
    [x] Plan Ambush
[X] Abandon Khazad-dum. Nuke it till Head-Crusha is dead. Then double it.
    [X] Plan Harassment Resumes
[x] Balanced Stance- By using a mix of dug in forces, raids and sallies you would be able to greatly speed up the battle without risking to much of your forces . -Currently selected
[x] Deploy the Last Hunters against Headcrusha- The Last Hunters equipped with the most deadly poisons of the Nyenye should be able to inflict some major wounds on Headcrusha, and may even be able to kill him.
-[X] use potions to also help boost them
[x] Use space marines to lure Headcrusher into ambush
    [x] Authorize vortex grenades
[x] Medium- Have your fighters move to seize control of the skies from the remaining Ork Fighter-Bombers. -
[x] Deploy your Descents- The Decent Destroyer is designed to lay waste to armies after descending to the lower atmosphere, use them. This will also be a major benefit for your air forces as the Decents formidable AA is brought onto the field of battle.
[x] Psyker Support [forces fighting Head crusher] - Your Diviners, Telepaths and Biomancers could support your ground and air forces, improving their impact and preserving their lives.
[x] Scry and Fry [gargents]- Your Diviners could work with your other psykers to locate the most dangerous foes and take them out.

I had actually forgotten about our kraken. Is it still only one or did we capture more?

Are Descent class ships warp capable ? If they are, maybe we could try and lure Headcrusha into it and send him away to the ork polities....

Yeah they are wrap capable but Durin has stated that it is both a very bad idea to try and take Headcrusha alive and that we shouldn't count on luring him out of the city now that he is engaged.

The Orks have no command structue or organisation left whilst Headcrusher is separated from the hoard, this is a good chance to break them as fast as possible and end all serious resistance.
But it does say high casualties in two of the options. Really that is the problem I have with the other plan. We need to keep casualties down for the max political gain. We have some major reforms we want to do that need every point possible.

If I may, I'd like to request that you remove the astartes as the bait.

I don't think he's smart enough to tell the difference, and I'd rather not kill one of the 15. Unless you're saying this with the intention of the astartes being Saar?

Re-reading the quest and reaching the part where Jacob and Jane went up against a 3rd circle with health around Headcrusha and still managing to win thinking people are seriously underestading our hero units. With HC weakened pretty sure that they have a pretty good chance at taking him. Especially consideirng that people like Jacob are also on the high end of combat paragon.

Yeah, have to agree that I find it extremely annoying that people don't seem to actually be trying to limit casualties and seeming to treat using our very expansive and time consuming to replace elite units as something that isn't costly and time consuming to replace. Considering that we are likely to keep getting attacked that's really a horrible attitude to have since that is going to slow down our growth and make us seem incompetent since people don't seem to even bother trying to limit casualties.

Yeah, not a fan of escalate everything. If we thought killing the other Orks quickly would improve the situation with Headcrusha it'd be another thing, but that doesn't seem like the case—the Waaagh is already at the lowest level and we've already got the strategic flexibility to assign whoever we want on Headcrusha duties, limited by how many people can face him at once rather than available numbers.

As is, it accepts higher casualties for a faster end to the engagement, when we have no real time pressure to end said engagement.

[x] Plan Ambush

though I do have a single nitpick,

scrying and frying works best as a prlonged thing. I'm not sure it'll do much in an active fight. maybe just boost the last hunters?
If I get one or two more people I will just have the choirs support the ambush forces. Actually anyone care if I focus the choirs just on support the ambush forces?

I would be willing to get off the escalate plan if someone convinced me to. but....

I feel like we should go with plan escalate. that ork is IN our city doing damage right now.....how is that NOT a time pressure?

also, as was discussed before. our heros are hard to replace. some of them are irreplacable. we can afford to lose alot of our elites/"chaff" before worrying about that other stuff

yes, but he's practically a separate force than his army. killing his army more quickly wouldn't do much.

half the plan is to ambush the ork, that is killing him pretty darn quick. the other half of the plan is killing the orks quickly to bring down the ork level even farther. (its still level 1 I think) which will help kill headcrusha even faster since he will be weaker that way.
