Gotta agree on the Avernus write in, I'm undecided on what to vote for but I'm not voting for the Avernus plan with that write in, it's not even an argument, it's more a bit of posturing with a kinda passive aggressive comment about getting help at the end.

Yuck.

[X] Plan Deathworld Avernus
-[X][Plan] Middle Ground, Avernus
-[X][Argument] Avernus' status as a Deathworld greatly increases the amount of attrition the Orks are subject to, particularly with an idiotic Warlord in charge of it maximizing the damage they suffer; Avernus also already has an Ork Infestation from previous invasions, so the long-term effects on it are minor.

Can I just say that if I was around for the planning vote I wouldn't have us doing major naval attacks on the Ork Fleet? Lives are cheap, ships are not.

More arguments I would include in the vote, but don't really fit well:

*Vanaheim's Shipyards are SUPER IMPORTANT to the Trust's Survival.
*The Ork Warboss is dumb enough that they might actually get them damaged from suicidally stupid attacks.
*Do not fight a Paragon General with a Paragon Diviner with armies of psykers and superhuman mooks on prepared homeground.

Is the Ork Waaaghboss dumb enough that we can hope he lands a huge part of his Waaagh on the other side of Avernus from the small part we settled?

He's looking for a fight, but OTOH it's not like the Avernites are the only civilization on Avernus..
We want to ensure he lives. It's going to be hard enough keeping him away from trying to blow up the planet or kill all the Sun Beetles if he attacks us. Sending him off to the other side of the world where we can't project power at all would make it all but impossible to intentionally keep him alive if he decides to try something catastrophically stupid.

[X] Plan Deathworld Avernus

After thinking about it I'm willing to accept a small degree of war weariness to take up our role as the tank of the core worlds again now the option has a reasonable write-up, mostly because I think the political capital Rotbart can build up will be worth it when we inevitably cause the High Council to simultaneously facepalm again.

I personalty find the request for resources for Avernus to be phrased in a almost childish passive-aggressiveness. If we are going to demand more resources then we should mention what resources, like an actual politician not a sulking child.

Then again I'm not voting for Avernus anyway so not sure how relevant my opinion is here.

on that Svartalfheim's cities can hold 50 billion with ease and 100 billion if you are willing to get a bit crowded, there are currently 42 billion people in them

@Shard Thank you kindly.

Why wouldnt we be able to hold as many troops there? They have more cities than we do.

But my reason was that on Mar Sahra we had the problem of not enough room for our troops. With Svartalfheim mainly having cities only instead of a hive and cities as on Mar Sahra I beliefed we would be limited even more.
That still does not sway me enough to support Svartalfheim. It is closer through.

We had plenty of room on Marsara just not enough fortifications.

Svartalfheim doesn't have that problem

Also there is a hive that will not be completed when the Waagh arrive making it a very big target. While the guy is a idiot he is not stupid and the wildlife just thinks of orks as another predator.

The Ork warboss is so dumb we have the luxury of deciding which world to fight him on.

This is usually not a thing that happens.
