Can we not throw the Orks at the Trust's main production of AM/EM and subsequently force them to have a permanent Orkoid infection? Avernus is a Fortress world and already has an Orkoid infection, we don't lose much over an attack on Avernus.
@Enjou I need your backing here.
And nobody has suggested that we shall. But do not expect us to hold on our own forever. Not even Cadia could hold out forever, and neither can we without assistance. But no matter the difficulties, we shall fight. Avernus shall stand.
Was talking more in the economic sense, but looking back that wasn't exactly clear. I'll admit I'm not the best at flowery speeches like these. And nobody has suggested that we shall.
Stuff like this is half the reason that the council lays out what forces they'll commit before deciding the plan, it means no one can be accused of holding back forces because of the particular plan.
If we're fighting on Avernus we'll get to use all our Battle Psykers, and the wildlife will eat them up - With Ridcully's help we can minimize the odds of him attacking Deiphobe or suchlike.Actually, if you look at the actual production numbers, Svartalfheim is only the third largest producer of both as of Turn 99.
Svartalfheim: 16,122,596 AM, 97,185 EM
Niflheim: 46,545,917 AM, 276,405 EM
Muspelheim: 33,742,912 AM, 596,352 EM
Now, these numbers are out of date. We do know that AM and EM are about to get a lot cheaper than they used to be, as production has ramped up, though where the production has ramped up is uncertain.
@Durin
1. Is Svartalfheim still third in terms of AM and EM production?
2. Which worlds most ramped up their AM and EM production since the last time this was updated?

To be more precise most Wildlife apparently recognises large numbers of orks as serious predators and avoids them likely as the combined psycic presence of a waaargh comes across a beyond alpha level threat, as alphas are apparently avoided instinctively at least if Ophelia is any indicator.Avernus wildlife isn't particularly aggressive when dealing with Orks.
Plus the Ork leader is Combat pretty good he's not very likely to get supplanted. And if we whittle enough of his horde it won't matter anyway.
We would take an action to cull the orks down if we selected Avernus as an invasion target, greatly reducing their influence.I admit it is a decidedly remote possibility. A more reasonable worry is that Avernite Ork recruits will add veterancy that the Waaagh is currently lacking.
While the wildlife will provide attrition, that attrition will not be restricted to the Orks. Our cities will reduce the attrition our allies will suffer, but not eliminate it.
I'm arguing that the benefits of fighting Orks on Avernus is reduced, not eliminated, compared to fighting say, Chaos on Avernus.
Yeah, it is getting to the point that we should probably bring it up.People compare us to Cadia, but Cadia wasn't expected to maintain production of everything its defenses needed or a balanced budget.
Pretty sure its his martial stat that's in the tip...possibly alongside learning.[X] svartalfheim, freyr variant
We know the he's a dim ork but the I stat is separate to the L stat, so I say go lighter one the ambushes and it'll also be the easiest way to keep the ork boss too. Plus fleet cost.
The only thing is I think his army is as unoptimized as possible...
I expect every stat bar piety and combat to be negative.Pretty sure its his martial stat that's in the tip...possibly alongside learning.
Can you even get negative stats?
No, that was for splitting up his forces to fight on multiple different systems.Pretty sure we've been told by Durin that Headkrusha would have had to roll a few more 1's before he did that.
