Just how badly could this have gone? If we had crit-failed again, would James really have shot us and how big of a disaster would that have been for everyone? Traumatized Penny, traumatized Jaune, wounded or maimed Ironwood, big diplomatic incident, stuff like that?
Worst case scenario? Jaune turned to attack, missed, killed about ten people by accident, then Ironwood just domed him.
That would be a bad end, and you'd decide on another way to spend your Monday afternoon.
What exactly were the other possibilities of the 1d20 roll after Confession()? Would Ironwood always have shown up here and the crit-fail only determined his reaction or could we have dodged him entirely?
I... don't know offhand, because I deleted that table after somebody rolled the crit fail.
I think that 1 involved an angry Ironwood, 2-5 involved Ironwood, but in more of a suspicious father role than a 'move and you die' role, he'd be joining you for the day, eventually you'd warm to each other over not being able to follow the conversation, 6-10 involved dragging Polendina along for the ride, 11-15, I'm assuming Penny and Polendina, which would make 16-20 just Penny.
... Yeah, that sounds about right.
Also, I have to say that I agree with
@PsyFarrow on this one. Blue acted a bit like a jerk there.
He had a reason for it, and it wasn't to act like a prick for the sake of acting like a prick.
Trust me, you'll find out what the hell that was about once the day's over.
Anyway, barely seven hours out and both sides are completely tied.
Votes will close tomorrow, and you're all getting something special~
