-[X] You don't trust yourself to say anything right now, it would only make things worse.
-[X] Leave it to Blue, have him do the talking.
--[X] Let him decide whether to do that over scrolls or by using Penny as an intermediary.
[X] "My AI asked your AI out on a date and since I can't be more then 100 meters away from its vessel without dying I had to come along."
[X] Say that you created an AI that wanted to meet another AI which is why you are here.
[X] "You're bluffing. You're not actually going to gun me down in public, you just want me to confess to something you can pin on me."
[X] The Truth- just start talking and don't stop until he takes the gun away from your chest or you're dead.
[X] "You're bluffing. You're not actually going to gun me down in public, you just want me to confess to something you can pin on me."
-[X] You have connections... Fine, you have a connection, so put it to use. Have Blue message Weiss to explain that you're being held up by an Atlas goon and have her call you. Hand over your scroll and hope the heiress of the SDC has enough pull with whoever this guy works for.
[X] The Truth- just start talking and don't stop until he takes the gun away from your chest or you're dead.
[x] Write-in: DANGER MODE TURN ACTIVATE
-[x] Jaunt Behind who ever the fuck this is. Scan him. He just lost privacy privileges.
--[x]Ready to ()Spiral a bitch and look for any other dickheads backing this guy up.

----[x] THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT BLUE!
[x] Record everything for future use.
    -[x] Call the cops surreptitiously.
--[x] Don't say anything incriminating, let this asshole hang himself.
[x] Record everything for future use.
[X] "I'm just here because a girl was lonely and needed a friend, I haven't done anything wrong."
[X] Try to calm down, this guy is (hopefully) bluffing and he (probably) won't do anything stupid in public.
[X] Admit to nothing and don't say anything incriminating.
[X] Have Blue and Bracket do anything they can think of. Call the cops, talk to Penny, hack this guy's scroll for something of use, call Weiss and see if the Heiress of the SDC can do anything to help.
[X] If all else fails, look to Penny. Blue made her sound like a good person, so she wouldn't let you get killed.
[x] Record everything for future use.
    -[x] Call your family surreptitiously.
-[X] Be ready to use Turn() at a moment's notice to avoid getting shot.
--[x] Don't say anything incriminating, let this asshole hang himself.
[x] This vote should be considered an abstention regarding what Jaune says. Regardless on what he says, however, there's a few things he needs to do.
-[X] Record everything for future use.
    --[X] Call your family surreptitiously.
--[x] If it's possible to do so without any outward sign that we're doing it, prepare to use Turn() at a moment's notice to avoid getting shot.

Jaune aint anybody's bitch. Would rather piss off the gunman. Go big, or commit sudoku.

Well, Blue did get us into this mess. It kinda fits that he would have to get us out of it.
Technically Bracket got Jaune into this mess, Blue just told Jaune about it. :p

Sure yeah that makes sense.

Yea, this sounds thematically appropriate.

This sounds really interesting actually.

Would it be noticeable if we also started recording the conversion? I'm not saying we should use it for anything at this point, but more of the lines of keeping it to mock/prove a point when we start talking to them on much more neutral friendly terms a unknown amount of time in the future.

Ahem. Recording everything? Good idea, happens anyway, but good job thinking about it.
There's your answer. But I do like the image.

This came up, it's already being recorded.

I believe that the Transistor constantly records the things that go on around Jaune.
Inform()- The Transistor is constantly feeding you information about the world around you, streamed directly into your eyeballs. Essentially, functional omniscience about everything within your direct line of sight. And everything not, it just chooses not to tell you about that stuff. FOR GOOD REASON.
"So, how did it go?" Your father asks as soon as you have some food in your mouth. Quickly chewing and swallowing, you tell them all about your day.

You're not sure how a simple question turned into a blow-by-blow account involving your sword hovering above the table and playing holographic recordings of everything as you narrate it, but it did, and your family's not complaining about the movie that comes with their dinner. Naturally, you mentally skip past some of the more, er, sensitive things, like Ada's breakdown, Creme's bullying, most of Saff's ranting... stuff like that.
I don't know if it saves everything (although I suspect it both can and does), but it showed part of the big test to our family once.

[X] Plan: Silence is Golden

I only changed to this in hopes Blue manges to out smart the guy and give us more information... Also the fact they only managed to attain pieces of the chat log sounds like something we can make fun of if Jaune ever learns of it.

Someone mentioned Aura needing activation being a ''this quest" thing a couple pages ago and I feel compelled to point out Oscar's training scenes, where Ren explains that Aura works like this in canon, explicitly.

Thanks, that is all, we now return you to your regularly scheduled questing.

Yeah, that was me.
Aura isn't permanently active.

At least not in this quest, I haven't kept track of how it works in canon.
I'm not up-to-date on canon RWBY, so thanks for the info.

@Prok what does jaune's family think of him being a hunter now that they've seen the recording of that free for all battle? not sure if it's come up and I was just reminded that we showed them most of it

Prok already said that this would get us shot. Personally I think that people that literally vote to commit suicide shouldn't have their votes counted. Seriously, a lot of people put quite a bit of time and effort into quests so it's just a dick move to vote to end it for petty reasons.

Prok said it was possible to beat him. I want to piss off the guy with the gun before that guy meets his maker. I'll vote the way I want, when this is not denied as an option.

He messed with the wrong person.
Look, in the end, all this quest is, is one big gambling simulator. You could pull off grabbing your sword, Turn()ing, and just Breach()ing him until he sees God...

-[x] Have the Transistor clandestinely call your family and give them a livestream of what is happening. If he does shoot you, at least he won't get away with it scot-free. If he doesn't shoot you, you'll have reinforcements incoming soon, making it much harder to strong-arm you into anything.
-[x] If it's possible to do so without giving any outward sign, prepare to use []Turn at a moment's notice to avoid getting shot if the conversation goes poorly. If it isn't possible, don't attempt it.

Because no matter how this ends, I want to do something to screw this asshole over. At the very least they should be forced to pay us lots of hush-money.
However, that then runs into a different problem of actually getting the gunman to take the phone call. If it gets traction, it's certainly not the worst plan you could come up with.
Even if he doesn't take it, it should distract him for a moment. Long enough for Jaune to activate his aura and/or []Turn?

Why would it? I doubt that Turn()ing and whatever follows is actually a social roll.
Rolling to be antisocial is still a social roll.

:V

Ok, no, fine, you got me, not the best example I could have given. Mea culpa.

Quick question, but I think it's fairly obvious that the Transistor should be queuing up a Reboot automatically, despite what we choose, right? I can't imagine it wouldn't do so the moment we were threatened, but I feel like we should probably clarify if that's actually going to happen unless we vote for it.
It does, but being shot in the chest is kinda traumatising, immediate reset or no. That and Reboot() doesn't really deal with healing body parts all that well- ok, that's not quite right, it doesn't deal with moving parts all that well. And, you know, the heart is kind of the only constantly, consistently moving part of your body.

It would fix it, but it wouldn't be quite how it should be. Just... prevention's the best cure, don't get shot in the first place.

I'm fairly sure Weiss put that first part to bed yesterday, and from the same post you used to justify your vote:

I'll never outright veto a single plan unless it goes into actively trying to kill Jaune.
... Go big, or commit sudoku? Really?

"I'll do x or kill myself trying" is not great motivation, this isn't the kind of quest where apathy over whether or not the main character dies is rewarded, suicide by the not-KGB is still suicide, and your vote doesn't do anything except piss off the gunman, which is just stupid. It doesn't give you any leverage, it doesn't put you in any position of power, you're not even arming yourself for a fight, you're just antagonising him without a follow-up plan. For somebody who wants this guy to 'meet his maker,' you're really not doing anything for him as a meetup coordinator.

... You know what, it's fucking ballsy, I'll give you that.

Well, practice makes perfect, right?
