Zerg Quest RIOT QUEST

Yes. But that mean we need to sacrifice a valuable queen, in addition to expendable zerglings... Wait. The queen can bury herself at the first sight of the birds, and return to us after they'll fly away. Hopefully.
Yeah, there are options available, and the Queen is there to organize and act as operations control for the mission, not be part of the relay.

The queen just has to direct the attack not literally go take part.

It is more a limiter to stop people from doing a thousand random failed attacks.

do we need a another spore crawler? or should I keep mining?
Look, with two spore crawlers and thee queens we fought with a few dozens of those birds, and lost one crawler. If my idea about redirecting incoming flock will fail (or won't be used at all, mostly same result), we'll son face a few hundreds. We need at least a dozen of spore crawlers with equal amount of queens to repair/heal them, ho have a chance. In my opinion, at least.

With the info that we currently have, I think our best option is going to be an alpha strike next turn, or the turn after next. Either that or rushing up the tech tree for stronger anti-air. Both of which require more minerals.

Edit: Forgot I don't auto-respawn as a drone, oops
[X] Become a Drone (Cost 50 minerals) Requires you are not a Drone.

Feathers. Wings. Beaks. Talons. A-07's semi-consciousness returned to the hive, unable to shake the cacophany of screeches that had assailed it before the end of its short life as a zergling. But it felt there was no greater honor than fighting alongside its comrade to warn the great hive of the incoming threat, and buying precious time for the great hive to prepare their defenses. But there was not a second to spare for reveling in its heroics. Each second that passed meant another ten, dozen, hundred, sets of feathers, wings, beaks and talons which would see to the end of the great hive. A-07 was ready to get to work.

Sorry for repeating the question boss:

Why is it 1 Drone = 50 minerals, instead of 2 drones?

Also, could I mine immediately this turn, or do I wait until the next?

If your new you can mine this turn.
If you died you take a turn to become a drone.

Also it's 50 minerals because I hate you all as I said in my sandwich quest. (joking it's 50 because I play Terran and protoss and forget drones are 25)

Minor problem, in that you're currently bodyless. You need to reincarnate into a new body before you can start doing anything again. The good news is, we have plenty of minerals to allow you to do so.

I wrote the outline of operation for @Razzocnor (if he want to and don't have better ideas):
[][Queen] Attack the location: Operation "Setup-No-Jutsu".
-[] Main goal: Lead the Flock to enemy hive or, at least, hunting or mining party.
-[] Queen coordinate zerglings, and stay as far away from that as possible.
-[] Recruit all of mindless zerglings available.
-[] Use zerglings that scouting Jungle to find a good way from the birds' nests to enemy hive, and check where enemy zergs hunting parties are.
-[] Use pair of mindless zerglings to attract attention of the birds, and flee.
-[] After one of the zerglings will be wounded, it must either accelerate it's pase to put some distance, or dive in a thick undergrowth, to get enough time to bury itself.
-[] Other zerglings must wait buried on the intended route, to join the relay and, if necessary, replace the injured. Distance between buried zerglings depends on how much of them will participate in operation.
-[] After main goal will be achieved, all survived zerglings from the end point (enemy hive) must try to flee and survive. They must NOT take the shortest path to our hive, however, and, if possible should start cover their tracks after they'll have enough distance from all enemies. All buried zerglings along the route must return to hive.

I need to go, so don't have time to think about it more, or edit it. So feel free to copy-paste and edit, if you have any ideas how to improve it.

Edit: fixed "drones that I wrote instead of zerglings once, and added getting all the mindless zerglings from the hive to boost a numbers.
edit 2: added a part that all zerglings who survive the run must try to survive the clusterfuck which will follow.

*"Setup" in the name used in "a scheme or trick intended to incriminate or deceive someone" sense. Can someone suggest a better synonym?

[X] Mine Minerals

A drone's purpose is not to question the course of the hive. The Terrans might say that the appropriate saying for such a life is "ignorance is bliss". A strange saying, in the humble opinion of a mere drone, but altogether not inaccurate. Perhaps another, more ambitious mind would disagree, and instead look to change their destiny, but no hive is able to function without the steady stream of minerals from the horde of industrious drones that fuel the swarm, one pallet of minerals at the time. Such is my fate, to mine minerals unendingly for the swarm, though one might say that using an intelligent mind to perform mindless work is a waste.

Why is it 1 Drone = 50 minerals, instead of 2 drones?

An in-universe explanation would be that a lack of overlords leads to more expensive drones due to a need for autonomy that regular drones have no need for.

Okay, back from work now. Let's see, looks like there's a desire for me to lead a diversionary attack. Before I dedicate, though, I would like a count of how many zerglings I could expect to have go along with it. I've seen two, but are there any others? Also, do we have enough information to know where the Giant Swarm's hive likely is, in order to direct the birds there?

I will say that the other thing I have been considering is asking if it would be possible to use the Bird Essence helpfully donated by that last attack to perhaps make a flying zergling variant. Or maybe just get Raptor Strain with the assumption that intelligent Raptor zerglings could use the leaping ability to attack the birds.
