Oh well. Good plan though. CongratulationI wouldn't be that dramatic. I'm just happy a lil bit of my idea was brought on.
Wasn't meant to be taken seriously, prehaps I should have made it more obvious lolI wouldn't be that dramatic. I'm just happy a lil bit of my idea was brought on.
No one can argue you didn't go hard with your campaign.
Comparable to the best of Napoleon's.
...Uh...h-holy shit, did my late-comer Plan actually just win?!?
Well, that'll teach me to underestimate SV's innate desire for Abolitionism. Not that I'm complaining!
Uh, no. We have a Bourbon at the Helm, yes, but as President of the Republic. The actual Bourbon Coup to restore the Monarchy itself has already fallen apart.Especially with the craziness happening without Napoleon's approval.
We have a Bourbon France to Liberate La Revolution from, after all.

Dude. Buddy. He hasn't done ANYTHING yet. And so far, he seems to be revolutionary minded. Remember, he didn't even want the Job until DANTON himself convinced him to take it.A Bourbon as President?
Orleans's "People King" is one thing, President Louis Napoleon is also one thing..but a Bourbon as President?
We shall liberate the Republic from this tyrant that's trying to corrupt the Revolution by favouring only the Self-prolaimed "Ex-Nobility"!

Well, by all accounts, he was honest in having Liberal and Democratic ideals, even before the Revolution. Admittedly, he initially preferred a Constitutional Monarchy in British Style over a pure Republic, but he was hardly alone in that and he never supported any steps to restore the Bourbons after they lost the crown, nor spoke up against the Republic.Well, this Bourbon is on the Revolutions side to the point where the former King Louis' family thinks he plotted the whole revolution from the beginning... So, I think we're safe in regards of Phillipe Egalite, for the most part... Granted, I don't know too much about Phillipe Egalite historically, so, maybe putting my temporary trust in him will be a mistake that'll bite us later.
However I still find the irony of the whole saving a republic led by a Bourbon against royalists who wish to re-establish the monarchy with another Bourbon. It seems like the thing that'd be made into a joke in future history classes.
An actor eh?
If he's truly for the revolution, do you think he'd agree to peace with the other Monarchs?
We all know what kind of peace they all want..

Admittedly, he initially preferred a Constitutional Monarchy in British Sytle over a pure Republic, but he was hardly alone in that and he never supported any steps to restore the Bourbons after they lost the crown, nor spoke up against the Republic.
Admittedly, Robespierre promptly had him guillotined in OTL not long after our of pure paranoia, so he never got a chance to show what he might have done had he lived longer, but still.
