Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

... Guys, I would like to remind all of you that we need two turns to make pod.

Two turns before Obi-Wan come.

Two turns.

[X] To Make Owen Your Friend: You are tired of the unfriendly relationship you have with your step brother and wish it to be better. (300 Experience Points.)
[X] To Build a Droid: You always wanted to build your own droid. (1,000 Experience Points. 1 Chosen Points)
[X] To become a Jedi Knight: You've heard stories of the powerful Jedi. It would be so cool to become a Jedi Knight (10,000 Experience Points. 5 Chosen Points)

[X] Plan low hanging fruit.

[X] Plan Save Up

My reactions to the character sheets:
Is the +5str in the lightsaber dmg formula for gameplay reasons? Because unless the target is a tank or a blast door, and possibly not even then, strength has never been shown to be affect lightsaber damage. It might play a role in a lightsaber duel to overpower an opponent, but that would be to hit, not dmg.
Why does Mauls weapon dmg not depend on str when a normal lightsaber does?
A double bladed lightsaber is meant to be a brutal, powerful weapon, if one difficult to master. This is not reflected at all. I would recommend a change in the dmg formula and some sort of a skill or trait needed to wield it effectively.
Obi Wan is incapable of stealth?
Is Maul just beginning his training? He was specialized as a powerful murdermachine in canon, capable of threatening jedi masters, if at cost to his other skills.
Maul can use Force Healing? What? o_O Dark side doesnt heal, unless through the draining of life of others or something.

Edit:
Qui Gon, a powerful and respected jedi master, is lvl 34, and Obi Wan, still a padawan, is lvl 28?

Nope, Dark side healing is a thing iirc and is explicitly better than LS healing on single targets because while LS healing is encouraging the body to phase out the damage faster and go back to sorta normal DS healing tends to involve using the force to basically scream at your blood to stay in your body.

The big drawback is that it's almost entirely self-targeting unless you REALLY care about someone else.

And even then, it isn't pleasant.

Qui Gon, a powerful and respected jedi master, is lvl 34, and Obi Wan, still a padawan, is lvl 28?

Obi-Wan at the time of PTM was ready to become a Knight, that Qui-Gon went about it in a very stupid ass way as if discarding him was the issue, not Obi-Wan's readiness for the trials.

edit: Qui-Gon is also 60 years old, so not exactly in his prime, Jedi Master or not he is still human. The Force can only do so much to stop the aging and loss of skill from advanced age.

I heard there was a scene in the Darth Plageius book that had him chopping off his own arm and using the Force to regrow it. My Jedi Holocron's entry for Curato Salva had a mention of the possibility of restoring lost limbs and was a subtle reference to that.

Actually the Dark Side healing is without a doubt the best, or at least more effective and quick.

The greatest healer in Legends was Cade Skywalker, it used a power called Dark Transfer, that is basically a tweaked Shatterpoint, but instead of using the Force to perceive the weak spots in something or someone and destroy them it used the force to repair them, or in the case of having to treat a disease/venom he basically destroyed it through Shatterpoint, the problem with this ability is that it literally enforced the will of the user in a very brutal manner over the force, that combined with the inmense amount of force that had to be used at an incredibly high rate, meant that he could only use it throught the Dark Side.

He ends up learning how to use it through the light side , but only at the end...

I agree with you for most part.

These are still very much a work in progress. And are a very simplified/dumbed down version.

They do not show any of the prerequisites or anything of that nature.

The skills do not accurately reflect stats ATM or character life. I haven't added any "life perks" or anything.

Still a WIP on the system. Those sheets are more for game-play purposes than story if that makes sense?

Anakins CS will be far more coherent.

If he was ready to become a master the level difference would still be hard to believe.

Age should not affect levels, or nonphysical skills/powers, barring dementia or something.

It does. Writing character sheets like that isn't easy or fast, barring extensive experience with the game engine. My post was meant to help you with that through (hopefully) constructive critique.

And its appreciated. One of the reasons for the level disparity also is canon. Obi-wan was able to fight on par with Maul, but Maul was able to kill Qui-gon. I'm not a fan of ABC logic usually, but in this case I had to have them somewhat close.
Because of the current system, if I had Obi-wan a lower level, he wouldn't even be able to hit Maul. But if Quigon was a higher level then Maul wouldn't be able to hit Quigon. I played around with the numbers and the to-hit. And with the current system, they all need to be closer in level. You'll notice that Qui-gon's non-combat skills are much higher than Obi-wan's and Mauls. This reflects his status as more of a negotiator than warrior.

While once again, this doesn't reflect story as much as mechanics, I'd simply offer that in the Jedi Padawan series that focused on Obi-wan, there were numerous times he was referred to as a prodigy with a lightsaber. Also, he experienced a lot more hardship in his apprenticeship than most Jedi.

Considering he fought and beat Anakin, It makes sense that he's much stronger than the normal apprentice.

Either way, I appreciate the thoughts and tweaks will continue over time.

I feel like Obi-wan is probably too old to seduce, so our bromance will have to be more bro than mance.

Regarding romances...I'm simply going to stick to canon sexual orientations.
It's not that I want to in anyway discriminate against anyone, but as a straight male I don't feel I could write a LGBT romance in such a way that would be respectful to those relationships. I lack the experience and knowledge to properly write do so.

Anakin will be straight for this quest, not out of a desire to discriminate but to avoid perpetuating wrong stereotypes and simply lacking the insight to properly do so.
