Shepard Quest Mk VI, Technological Revolution

Hey now, I think thats reading into things a little to far. o.o
Never saw a hearse for like 10 years, now I see 2 back to back after taking up this quest? After asking what's next? I see the signs!
don't worry I'll kick all my updated files to the next person in line and hope the curse follows them instead :V

Every second, 1.8 humans die and 4.2 humans are born.

I think you were bound to encounter a hearse at some point. Besides the omen only works if you see your reflection in the hearse, and that would only happen if your paranoid enough to look at it in the first place looking for a meaning.

oh i have encountered them before, but the timing of all things is suspect, especially if it happens again. then it will be more than coincidence

Meaning of the Omens
Some people believe that seeing their reflection on a hearse means their imminent death, while others believe that a hearse being pulled by two white horses on the road means that someone in the neighborhood will die within a few days.

Stop looking at the hearse.

But I gotta practice my safe driving habits! I'm doomed! :V

Hm, maybe wear sunglasses so the reflection is reflected back, thus annulling the omen.

Edit:

Superstition | Seeing a Hearse |

Find out the origins of seeing a hearse go by and what you can do to prevent being the next to die.

here check it out and be comforted, or filled with terror if one of the things here has happened to you.

Tri, just make a new thread already so we can stop talking in this thread, the ghost is angry that we haven't give it a new body yet
I will as soon as I have all the information ready to be posted in their each individual posts so people can have all the information in info threadmarks without having to go to an excel sheet

well good news, no hearse, so I should be safe...ish.
Will get back to work on the final parts of the prep work this weekend. and hopefully the thread will be up the next weekend.

So we license out a gene treatment to Sirta Foundation
Missiles and Block Upgrades:
[X] License Missiles
-[X] To Colony Based companies (2 billion/quarter)
[X] License Block Upgrades
-[X] To Earth based companies (15 billion/quarter, requires contract for 15,000 arc-reactors and 85,000 repulsors/quarter)
--[X] Agree to a contract for 12,500,000,000cr/quarter to sell them the Arc Reactors and Repulsors.

"It's nice to see you investing in the opportunities Earth offers Doctor. If things keep going this way I imagine we can have a friendly relationship even if we are not allies."
So we licensed out that ant ship missile I think.. And also we outsource the ship upgrades I think I don't really remember.
Outsourced Production: PI has deals with several companies that allow them to produce PI gear. Which frees up PI's factories for other uses. Still PI is the only company that produces arc-reactors and repulsors. Ships visit PI often to pick up shipments of these vital components, each escorted by a Systems Alliance cruiser group. The SA has needed to adjust for some of it's critical production being in the colonies. Unable to secure it's defensive lines properly the missile fabrication sites in the colonies offers a risk to the Systems Alliance's supply lines.
Oh since we outsourced the anti-ship missiles the javelin I believe to the colonies

And we did patent all the arc reactor designs right?
Technically speaking we only patented the Gen I Arc Reactor but the various size variations of that are patented. We also patented the Gen I Arc Reactor in Citadel space, rather then simply the Alliance, in 2171:
OK, the duck analogy has probably broken down by now, but when you send off your patent application, everything goes remarkably smoothly and very soon, you receive word back from the Citadel that your patent has been approved, and that you are expected to produce no less than 200,000 Arc Reactors per year at a cost of no more than 250,000 credits each, and make them freely available on the galactic market. The numbers will be re-evaluated every year to ensure that you are making a serious effort to meet the demand.

You crack a smile and on 7 April 2171, Earth standard time, you send the following message directly to Cheron Armax and every other corporate head in Citadel space: "It is my very great pleasure to inform you that Paragon Industries will now be selling Arc Reactors to all Citadel Species."

if you happen to remember what turn we recruited captain hwan and what he was good at that would be great
He is from our purchase of Shifting Developments. That is spread across these three updates with Captain Hwan first appearing in the second. He is good at improving existing technology from the Mass Effect setting:
Captain Hwan, Research Hero/Administrator,

Specialization: Developing, optimizing and improving existing Mass Effect setting technologies. Technologies grated: Ammo Mod Techs*.

As a researcher: Uses a Research Team slot, generates 10d10+30 RP/quarter base + bonuses, pay 400,000/quarter. Gains +5 RP/quarter if working on an existing Mass Effect setting tech or a close derivative, +5 RP/quarter if working on an Ammo Mod tech, these stack.

As an administrator: Gives a 15% base multiplier, pay 500,000/quarter for Lab I (+50,000 per additional Lab level), multiplier increased to 20% for technologies in specialization and +5 RP per administered 10d10 if working on Ammo Mod techs.

Huh weird, was going over the contracts and finances to make sure everything was correct before beginning to copy and past to make new thread when I noticed that we do NOT have the production needed to fulfill all current contracts......what should I do? Suggestions people?

Maybe have delays be announced? It's a common issue in real life, so it does make sense that it could happen in universe. Probably have a PR hit as a result of it though, as we're no longer the perfect juggernaut that was believed, and are more in line with what is expected of defense companies.

Licensing agreements may also help out, that or creating new factories in the next quarter.

IIRC the plan was to scale up rapidly with seed funding from liscense deals.

Its been too long, wasn't the plan that we were brining enough factories to fill those online soon?

Which contracts are you talking about? Because as far as I can tell we do.

We have 1 x Space Factory II, 3 x Space Factory I, and 21 x Factory III. That gives us a total of 4,530,000 Production.

As for our contacts:
  • Hahne Kedar Licensing Deal: 150,000pr
  • Cord-Hislop Aerospace Gladius Deal: 340,500pr
  • Cord-Hislop Aerospace SD Deal: 3,000pr
  • Turian Hierarchy: 3,000pr
  • Eldfell-Ashland Energy: 9pr
  • The Post-Scarcity Society: 90pr
  • Block Upgrade Supplies: 30,000pr
That comes to a total of 526,599pr which leaves 4,003,401pr free. I do tentatively have us down for 31 Lite Laser Pyndas (to the Alliance) and 2,500,000 Gen II 5GW Arc Reactors for the Citadel which cost 3,793,024.22pr and 187,500pr respectively (3,980,524.22pr combined) leaving us with 22,876.78pr excess. That hasn't been voted upon however so those numbers are absolutely up for debate. Especially given we were technically freed of our legal requirement to produce Arc Reactors while the Alliance is ordering as many as we can produce without violating our contracts:
The SA has sent us an order. We are to produce as many Pyndas for them as we can without violating existing contracts. They have agreed to pay in accordance to the prices negotiated last quarter. As the SA is at war and the price was previously negotiated we really don't have any room to object. With the Citadel removing mandatory arc-reactor quotas we could drop production there and produce more ships though that would affect the budget numbers I have sent you.
So there mix there is definitely something that would have been voted upon in the Production and Construction sub-turn once we got around to it.

@UberJJK where did you find the order for Gen II's going by this threads excel sheets there were no orders for Gen II only Gen I's

ok figured out the issue, looks like the calc for production consumed per contract per item was wrong, redoing the original numbers

edit: total production consumed is little over 3 million now
