Shepard Quest Mk VI, Technological Revolution

Plan TheEyes

It's basically the same as @UberJJK's at this point, though I do propose trading both Advanced Research VI and Improved Intelligence. I'm starting to see his point, though; I may just switch to his vote.
Indeed. There are some things I'll modify too, now that I think of it. Also @UberJJK you forgot to modify your vote to ask SA what they want in their ships

[X] Plan Yog 2.0

PI Corporate Colors
[X] Blue on White

The Mordin Solus plan:
[X] Hire him
--[X] Have him help us establish ties with Sur Kesh university. Look into establishing stipends for gifted students there, and maybe exchange programs?

Litinana deal: (Because negotiations are complicated fell free to discuss things with the GM)
Offer
[X] Advanced Research VI
For
[X] A Specialist (Temporary Research Hero)
--[X] Specifically one specializing in cross-species biotech or xenobiology
[X] Establishing and/or improving trade with them
--[X] Try to get cultural exchange going to, trade in media

Tell the SA Navy of any of your Tech Plans?
[X] Sure
--[X] Communications, long range and impossible to intercept
--[X] Logistics, i.e. working on how long the ships can serve without entering port
--[X] Stealth
[X] Ask them what they want in terms of qualitative developments. What advantages would they desire most? What is the biggest game changer?

Jelica Eveliina: Company/+4, Biotic Specialist (+1 to Biotic units), Mobility Master (+2 to highly mobile units)
[X] Hire her

Should we start employing aliens on a more general level?
[X] Yes
--[X] As a part of galactic community, the more we are integrated with others, the harder it is to get rid of us. One doesn't cut off one's hand, much less one's head, without some serious consequences. Start running this line, that by hiring more aliens we get more integrated with the wide galaxy and thus become more secure, through your PR people and spread it both for the inner and outer consumption
--[x] Absolutely bring in non-humans to the marketing, legal, and HR departments. We are already selling products in Citadel space, and will increase that exposure as manufacturing capabilities increase, so we need non-human expertise in those areas already. Expand the applicant pool for ParSec to include Citadel races as well, but have HR be extra careful with background checks here.
--[x] For now, do not hire non-humans in R&D or on-site security. We don't need the political headaches this will cause with anti-alien factions just yet.

[X] Total Ownership CCI; take company private
--[X] Have them start planning the Hyper Modular Fortress City to be built around our offices on Earth
----[X] Utilize Williams' experience in designing the defensible settlement; use the project to evaluate him - we need to get a handle on the man and what he's worth
----[X] Carefully arrange some leaks (PI is planning to expand to Earth, but wants to do it in style and is, thus, preparing) to Terra Firma

Do you wish to take any of these jobs? (You have 25 teams and a Tiger)
[X] Keep forces at home for training/other jobs (How many)
--[X] All teams. Get them familiar with working together, and working with our technology.

Basically, massively toned down the Atlantis thing, switched to not hiring aliens for research and security for now, and to not approaching a new hire to be our trainer.

You may want to specify that you mean to hire in production out of the locals. If they are alien there will be no bias anymore.

Good job Yog. I like it. Only thing I would add would be to start up scholarships and internships for college age students (Engineering Majors mostly) in the SA in areas where we have a presence. For now that means Mindoir, but can scale efficiently as we grow. Thing is, only having an exchange program or interns from Sur'Kesh would trip a lot of peoples "What the fuck" meters. Instead, having Salarians as only a minority of new hires is more likely to be overlooked.

Good point. I would expect any such program to take time to be established, so we can delay this a bit, but ok. Note that for now we are just "looking into" those things, not establishing them.

Not sure what you mean, sorry
What about The DEW isn't it important:???:
They are, and we should be researching them within a year or so, I think, if all goes well.

I'm still for changing the cultural exchange to RP per turn. It just feels clunky for a technological development corporation to ask for a cultural exchange as a part of a deal. We could see about it later when we actually have a good idea what they are like through interacting with that research hero. And why cut away IIA and replace it with just AR VI? It will likely impact what we will get in return negatively.

Well, intelligence algorithms are a bit too much to start the cooperation with, as @UberJJK pointed out. Cultural exchange is to tie them a bit closer to us, hopefully, and it's a part of long-term strategy of winning asari approval. Plus, it's a chance to study them a bit more. There's something very strange about them.

Mkay. As it looks like my plan isn't getting any votes:

[] Plan Yog

Wait. Now that I look at it, TheEyes Plan has what I want. Why didn't I notice that before? Switching votes:

@Yog I notice you've still got that stuff about designing a fortress city, rather than my idea of a massive multinational distribution. Have you given any more thought into making it less politically irresponsible, and, for that matter, impossible to administer?

Then could one assume that there is a Catalyst(or whatever the star child is called...) on the other station or is it distributed across?

Star Child is the collective intelligence of the Reapers (so it says), bound to what ever purpose the Leviathans gave it. Thus there wouldn't be a second one; there may be a secondary core thingy though if Star Child has such things. So the second option is more or less correct.

And why cut away IIA and replace it with just AR VI? It will likely impact what we will get in return negatively.

Reduce it yes. What the Litinana want is IIA, but they'll take VI that use it instead/in addition. Your also free to suggest other offerings as well, just let me evaluated them, before they go into votes. Technically your Advanced E-War VI and your Advanced Security VI also count, I just didn't think you'd be willing to offer them. You could also offer non-tech things...

the bane of this quest is not money, reapers, slavers or even Cerburus . It's not having enough time for SCIENCE!!!!

We should research Conrads Time is an illusion subject, if we can get it to accelerate time inside rather than slow it down....

Sure, it will reduce Shepards lifespan in regards to the rest of the universe, but still the possibilites!

it's worth looking into... Heck a lot of his stuff is (Blackhole gun? seriously that thing WINS against any armor, I want to see us build a capital gun variant and wipe out the reapers in a single shot), But again so much SCIENCE needs to be done in so little time...

I expect we will want to be able to upload herself into a computer sooner or later so I am not worried about that. ;)

Administering it should not be at all impossible - we have people for that. Now, politics might be a problem (the location where we put it would be important). But it's not an unassailable obstacle. We just have to negotiate and think and negotiate. Where we put itcan be a bargaining chip.

As to why I don't want a massive multinational distribution - it's inefficient. On the other hand... You are probably right, making an experimental settlement might work better on an uninhabited world.

Well I imagine that once we upgrade our body to it's maximum capabilities then we will want to start adding in cybernetics. Once we reach a certain saturation of cybernetics to flesh then it makes more sense to just switch over to a fully robotic body. Yep.
