Also putting out a general request: if I could get one or ideally two more mind-trees to join in with me on diplomatree, we could fairly consistently knock out these communications in a single turn, which is important given the Ingaba will often need time to respond.

We know very little about our closest allies, IC and OOC, and we should really fix that.

Attention all Heart and Scavenging Trees:

Excluding the Worm, this may be the single most lucrative option that's appeared in the quest thus far. By the inverse-square law, halving the Forest's orbital distance should logically quadruple the light and particles the Forest is receiving from its host star. Cutting the distance to a third may multiply that by as much as a factor of nine.

For game balance, there will likely exist some sort of tradeoff or hard limitation on how much energy the Forest can harvest by this method. Still, even a small, fractional multiplier would prove very worthwhile.

Just make sure we don't get sucked into the star via gravity though - would suck that we get our forest burned down for that.

Hey, I'm communicating as fast as I can!

Also, the way my eyeball math goes, we've probably got asking the Ingaba about the strange ships nailed down, so any further trees that want to help communicate should probably pick a different topic to talk about. Or not. Do what seems fun to you. And don't hesitate to take actions outside your specialty, honestly. Every d6 helps, and obsessing about efficiency is a good way to never quite get what you actually want. If you're a root tree or a heart tree that wants to unlock some specific research, research it. If you want to talk, talk.

But what I want is more scenes of the Forest and Ingaba interacting, rather than just studying each other. Which is my specialty.

Or will be when I hit Elder, anyways. ;)

Edit 2: Going back and reading discussion, I think I understand a bit more how vote works and I'm changing my focus to grow Tranquil Trees.

Focuses are seperate from actions and thus the count only goes up to three until we hit mag 4 and get our 4th focus action. Just add ur x in as needed.
