Field Commander [C&C/Worm]

Question: As the current situation does not allow giving criminals over to executive institution in many cases or timely (state of emergency in the city) can we detain them under the rules of the Geneva Convention or under the rules of the Basic Principles for Treatment of Prisoners until such a time comes?

OOC: In neither of our timelines did WW2 happen as it did in worm or our world.

Our world is a world in which Hitler was killed by a time traveling Einstein before he could become the dictator we all know and hate, which means that Stalin was the Aggressor of WW2, and depending on whether or not he wins we end up with one timeline or the other.

Is that you Cain? This was literally never mentioned again.
Red Alert is the Prequel for both Red Alert 2 and C and C (Tiberian sun)

So we don't actually know whether or not those rules actually exist for us.

Edit: I forgot how hammy those games were...God I miss them.

Actually we should see about asking if they have any plans for people who had their homes destroyed outright. Because if they don't have a good plan we can see about providing temporary housing/ mabye permanent.

GC happened in 1929 before WW2. I give it a good chance to have happened in the C&C timeline.
The other had probaly another name for the GDI in handling not soldier prisoners.

But you are right. There is a good chance that neither existed or in a different form.

MM: "We would provide supplies if we could. Right now, if we move them around they're at risk of being attacked by gangs, so we have to move them by convoy. We have the supplies - we just have to fight to get them there.
Question: If we assisted in protecting your supply convoys, could you see to it that the civilians in our area are supplied then?
Question: Would there be a possibility to hire out escort groups from us so that you can reach other areas of the city more effectively?
Question: Do you know where the city's power, water and other civil infrastructure key point are so we can see about bringing them back online?

EA completely ignored a plot-hook on that one, didn't they?

To answer your question, though, the Geneva Conventions exist, but the different circumstances of the Second World War led to a few different stipulations and additions when compared to our own timeline.

Actually we should see about asking if they have any plans for people who had their homes destroyed outright. Because if they don't have a good plan we can see about providing temporary housing/ mabye permanent.
If you want to ask a question, go ahead and ask it (using the format, Question: (Text))

Assault: "Never thought that I would meet an army of shut-ins. Look, right now how about we focus on Brockton Bay before you focus on the world, alright?"

MM: "We don't like you right now, but we are willing to work with you."

Follow-up Question: "Why? If we are so despicable as you are trying to paint us and have threatened us constantly, we should be given the option to surrender or to be arrested. Instead you go out of your way to treat with us. Is it not true that you have no idea what you are dealing with and you already know that your capabilities of your so-called righteous government are stretched thin after, yet again, a creature of power has devastated your legitimacy and you already feel that you are incapable of keeping the civilians in safety?
Are you not reaching out with desperation to organisations which you think you can control because you are utterly incapable of restoring order on your own? Or is it that you can not restore order without breaking your precious moral codes you seem so intent of shoving into our faces when we were the ones who fought to defend the people and take down violent capes and criminals?
How many more blows can your government take before it crumbles into illegitimacy and why are you trying to strong-arm us when you are obviously incapable of dealing with everything on your plate? If we gave you the option that we are here to protect the people but without adhering to your precious code of non-lethal action, that we would restore order and deal with violence on our own terms while keeping up trade or even aid towards other parts of the town, could and would you really refuse or oppose us?
Fight us when we are one of the few stabilising forces around?"

Question: You mentioned the chosen and the pure earlier, what exactly are they 'chosen' to do and how are they 'pure' what do they want in other words, and what are they willing to do to get it? I ask to know what level of force I will need to bring if they attack us.
Question: As to the others groups you mentioned, what did they do that was so impressive?

Question: We have a number of Merchant members in custody right now. Normal MO would be to hand them over to the executive institution for processing. Where and how can those be reached.
MM: "If you bring them here, we can call in another van to take them to the Police Station. Again, communication is down throughout the city."
Assault: "Or make them walk back."

Question: As the current situation does not allow giving criminals over to executive institution in many cases or timely (state of emergency in the city) can we detain them under the rules of the Geneva Convention or under the rules of the Basic Principles for Treatment of Prisoners until such a time comes?
MM: *frowns* "Possibly. If you could though, we would prefer if you handed them over to us."

Miss Milita will bring that up later.
Question: Could your organisations supply us a map of the city including one of the local utilities. We currently are working on fixing the electricity in our area but a map laying out the utilities would aid in our repairs.
Question: Do you know where the city's power, water and other civil infrastructure key point are so we can see about bringing them back online?
MM: "Let's put that as 'maybe' for now and get back to it later."

Miss Milita will bring that up later.
Question: how may world wars did you have here?
MM: "...Two."

Miss Milita will bring that up later.
Question: have there been any alien invasions or signs of extra terrestrial live?
MM: *Looks strangely at the Nod Light Infantryman.* "...No."
Assault: "Well, unless you count Earth Aleph as extra-terrestrials, maybe."

Miss Milita will definitely bring that up later.
Question: If we assisted in protecting your supply convoys, could you see to it that the civilians in our area are supplied then?
MM: "Depends on the protection."

Question: Would there be a possibility to hire out escort groups from us so that you can reach other areas of the city more effectively?
MM: "That's something you'll need to discuss with Director Piggot, this falls under her purview."

Miss Milita will bring that up later.
Question: You mentioned the chosen and the pure earlier, what exactly are they 'chosen' to do and how are they 'pure' what do they want in other words, and what are they willing to do to get it? I ask to know what level of force I will need to bring if they attack us.
MM: "They were originally part of a White Supremacist gang called the Empire 88, but split up after Leviathan. The Chosen -their full name is Fenrir's Chosen- and the Pure are still white supremacists, but differ on their level of aggression. The Pure have been content with staying inside their territory and consolidating power, but the Chosen have been making some moves for territories downtown and elsewhere."

Assault: "Since you're more likely to meet the Chosen - especially now that the Merchants are gone, I'll brief you on them. Hookwolf turns himself into a mass of metal blades, Menja turns herself into a giant, Cricket has echolocation and controls sound and makes you nauseous , Stormtiger fires air blasts, Othala heals and provides powers to others, Rune is a telekinetic and Victor steals your skills."

Question: As to the others groups you mentioned, what did they do that was so impressive?
Assault: "It's more of the Undersiders. They've always been slippery, and since they got a new member they've been bolder. They beat up the Wards, sort of junior superheroes, and ambushed us, the Wards, and New Wave at a charity. For all of that, though, they haven't taken much territory."

Assault: "If you see them, kick their asses for me."

Haven't forgotten about you, @whydoyoubother , just writing up a longer response.

Quistion: are there any S-class threats in the area. if so would kindly give us their location so we know what to look out for.

Quistion: what are some of the beter strategies to deal with the Chosen.

Quistion/comment: ... you don't arm bears?

Making units/buildings that can mind control our enemies is technically non-lethal, but is probably a death sentence. Master's are hated in the worm-verse.
Turn any master victims over to the PRT as soon as possible. Mastering a villain or individual and keeping them around for your use is not allowed.
We're good on that front, only becomes a problem if we try to keep them.
The rules as Miss Militia outlined...that's a spectacular way to shoot ourselves first in the foot, second in the nuts and lastly on the head after excruciating pain.

That's just a generous 80% capabilities gone under legalese exploitation.

We hobble ourselves and then give up tech for 'our own good' and be idiots dancing to Cauldron and Coil...

Fuck that noise.
Only rules 1 and 3 limit us, and 3 only effects a grand-total of 2 of our units, and 1 building.
OMG, I accidentally killed Jack Slash, I'm an even worse monster than he is!
Lethal force is totally authorized against A and S class goons. As well as any situation where our life is in mortal peril, that one is likely to get a lot more use. They have guns, and are shooting at us with intent to kill. Of course we are in mortal peril.

Question: What do you mean "If our lives are in mortal peril"? They are armed with machine guns, and are shooting at us with intent to kill, of course we are in mortal peril. Would it be fine if we just give them the chance to surrender before hand, and if they don't accept it respond in kind?

That is far too hostile to my liking!

We are asking questions, right? I am genuenly interested in their answer. If you want to cut me off you can. But i will not withdraw the question.
