Honestly, should have expected some chicanery and spookiness when moving into an entire sector of abandoned holy planets.

Deploy the chocolate!

But first, bravely run away!
[X] I...I want to go home.

So we have a potential horror monster in the place we colonized...and the previous owners of this place took everything right? Like all the people, and infra?

642.M42 - Into The Dusk
Another boy had gone missing.

"MASSI!" Nastulius screamed into the dusk, the slowly dimming light dooming the third day of the search.

"MASS-IIII!" Nastulius screamed again, waiting for the echoes to subside as he turned his gaze back and forth over the canyon the young child had last been seen entering.

If he had to be completely honest...the child was most likely dead. Nature didn't coddle anyone, and being on a new planet without people watching your back, especially when you were seven, was not conducive to a long life. Sure, some may think him an ass for blaming the parents, but if the father hadn't been doing his damndest to never be at home while the mother was busy drinking herself to an early grave, then the boy might still be alive and in the village.

Especially because people knew that you got lost when you went out alone out here.

"Child damn it," he muttered, scratching his head with a sigh as the last rays of the sun disappeared from the horizon, casting everything into shadows and the light of the stars. "I'm going to suggest building a wall again..." Nastulius muttered, shouldering his backpack and location tracker again, his pistol firmly secured on his hip. That would be the...what? Ninth? Ninth disappearance in as many months. Mostly children, but four were adults that either went out for a hunt, solitude, or in search of some easily found minerals and thus wealth. With heavy steps, he began walking back to town, looking for anything that might try to jump him.

...his steps began to slow.

He stopped.

"Fuck..." he sighed, unshouldering his backpack before he rummaged within, recovering a blocky, lensed thing from within, snapping it to his head.

"MASSI!" He screamed as he snapped the night-vision goggles down, the green tint suddenly filling his sight rendering the night clear as day...if very greenly.

"MASSI!" He shouted again, wandering through the canyon again, hoping he had missed something in his quadrant. Anything, even if it was just bones or blood.

"Huh?"

"Was that singing?"
[] Yes. Follow the voice.

(Nastulius will look for the person singing.)
[] No, that can't be. He is just tired.
(Nastulius will stop searching.)

So, wait, he left, and still vanished never to be seen again?

Do these votes even matter then if what our viewpoint character does is irrelevant?
